This is incredibly valuable content that you can't find in a university, in a motion school, or even in a textbook. Thank you for producing this and providing high-quality education for free. Wishing you good karma for all your generosity.
I 100% agree with you on this! After graduating from University, all I learned was just the very basics of Cinema4D modeling. I'm almost 6 years in my job as a 3D artist and realized I have barely scratched the surface in learning Cinema4D.
Thank you very much. I appreciate your comment. I am glad to know they helped you. By the way, a 2D animated movie I once made was just put on Tubi. If you watch Tubi, please look up "The Mind Machine" It's a fun movie and I am trying to raise awareness of it. Cheers!
Amazing tutorials. Might join you guys on the 6th. Btw the 7th key didn't work on the spine because its a root null. For some reason it never works on that particular joint.
Is there a technical/software/code reason why you cannot paint and view weights while a mesh is being smoothed by a subD object or is that functionality that could be added to the rigging/weighting workflow in C4D? Possibly even adding a "fake" subD checkbox within the weight manager to tick on while working.
Yes, I agree. It would be nice if we could see the the weighting colors while the subdivision surfaces are enabled. This is something that I will bring up to the developers. Thanks - Joe.
Alternatively to using the Mode menu to setup snapping you can just use Shift + S to enable/disable snapping and Alt + C to bring up the snapping menu. much easier to choose the snapping mode in there.
Is it possible to add parts to the character object manually to custom your character. For example I'm using the toon character object and I have a pony tail set up but ideally I would need three of those and the character object wouldn't let me. Is there a way to work around that?
Great course! Thank you!! Wonder what is the best approach if I would try to rig a character without feet (like two wooden legs pirate, lets say), should I disable feet controllers and joints somehow, delete them, or "crush" them in the tip of "wooden leg". If someone could spare advice on this, I would be thankful :-) One more time, thank you for this great tutorials! BRAVO 💪😎
I wish there was a more straightforward series like the one Can Erduman Weight painting a face was actually shown - the 3 out in the world including everfresh skips over and refers to an old as 2015 body weight painting tutorial Bays who appears to not even use cinema anymore. I've never done it before and there's just no way for me to noodle through it. Im guessing its a deeply embarrassing process?
This tut showed me how to rig and then 2024.4 came out now the weight painting has totally changed and I don’t know how to use the new brushes can someone help me understand what changed? Smooth add etc simply doesn’t work like it use to. They added some brush types so clearly things changed also pose morph no longer works what happened!?

That 'unlimited access to all project files' seems pretty limited. In that I can't access them, even after sending a message requesting access.
thank you very much helped a lot

Yes, that is faster. Thanks.

Hi. You should be able to. Check out the part of the tutorial where I add some bones to the head. It is during the dynamics part.
The 7 key isn’t working for s22
link is not work
We have now aware of the issue and the necessary people will be informed.
Great course! Thank you!!
