The guest (Dee) focus on the need for money for marketing seems to stem from a belief that having a large marketing budget will automatically attract customers and generate sales. However, David challenges this notion by highlighting the importance of effective marketing strategies and understanding one's target audience.
The guest eventually realizes that his brand should be more than just a plea for money for marketing. He acknowledges that he needs to focus on developing his brand and coming up with creative ideas to execute on rather than solely relying on a marketing budget. The host's questioning and insights help the guest to think deeper about his brand and its purpose.

Whew this was tough to watch... talking cringe worthy 😂. But it is so needed as so many ppl are confused about the process of being a business owner. You know you want to have a business, but no clue what to efficiently do next. This series is so needed!

The start of their conversation @24:32 resonated with me to a certain extent. I am a "serial starter" from a roofing company, wholesaling houses, ebay, Amazon FBA, Etsy, etc. I will make some money with each business, then I will move on to something else. I'm from a town in Georgia that is a lot smaller than Lagrange, but I haven't lived their since 1988 (Army) I don't believe that I have a lid due to my geographic environment, but I do feel like nothing sticks because I get "the shiny object syndrome" I wish that I could just focus on one thing and ride it out, but I don't know what that one thing is. The struggle is real🙄

Hi, I have a question: why the need to be an entrepreneur? If you keep starting and stopping, maybe you should make a hobby out of some of your ideas, instead of a full on business? I just feel like some people fall in love with the idea of being an entrepreneur when really they should focus on working a 9-5 and maybe a side gig? But I really wonder why so many people feel the need to force entrepreneurship on themselves, especially if they can't stick to one idea.

This young man definitely has something special he just needs to be a student of the game first. I also love the fact that he has a support system with his wife and they are working together, they definitely going far! Congratulations 👏

You know, I want to give this guy a big ups for being brave enough to look foolish to get free game from someone who possibly charges hundreds of thousands of dollars for consultations. And because of this type of courage, you may end up much wealthier than many people.
And Dave, thank you for being true, honest, yet doing so with love, mercy, grace, and respect. You could have dogged him, but you treated him like a man. Whereas, many may have taken the opportunity to make themselves look bigger by belittling him. You did a great job.
Thank you both, also, for showing the world that black men do love their wives. Social media makes it look like men hate us, but y’all clearly defy that gravity.
Cheers Black Kings and Heroes ❤

As an idea head this episode really confirmed what i knew about me all along. I was just telling my husband today that I always had to get approval from my dad to do things. His answer was always no. He suffered from PTSD due to Vietnam. I allowed his no's to follow me all the way up to my 50's. It is ok for me to execute on my dreams now. Thank you for this powerful episode.

It could be better to give it a chance and then come to that conclusion vs. never giving it a shot. You don't want to look back and wish you would've done a thing. Even if he isn't meant for what he's trying to do at least he's challenging himself. Surrounding yourself with leaders will make you more of a leader than you were before... even if you're still not a full out leader. Though he is where he is he may not be in the same place 6 months from now.

Dude problem is that he needs to stick to and master one lane first. He really sittin' on a gold mine with the transportation biz but he really playin'. He's saying how he really doesnt wanna do it but fr, if he gets into government contracting-- (since transportation is one of their most needed service) he can seriously scale that business to the point where he can remove himself from actually driving, hire some drivers and let the biz run itself. I get wanting to be a serial entrepreneur but have a PLAN! It sounds like he doesnt have any direction....great ideas...but no real direction, a business plan and mentor will help him with that. Oh and the nails/beauty product niche is also a billion dollar industry, theybcan definitely scale that also but again....where's that business plan!!?? He just gotta turn it ip a notch and quit treating his ventures like hobbies....business is not for thr feint of hearts, you either sh!t or get off da pot.....lbs.-- dont play wit it! You shouldve asked him what's his "WHY"-- whenn youre trying to build generational wealth and establish a legacy, you move different!
