I think Dave is spot on with the relationship space. Being married 16 years is equivalent to 25 years in 2023! This is the perfect time to talk about relationships. Also, you quit football for a reason. And quitting is not always a negative. Your message could be about knowing when to quit, and when to keep going. There is a time in business, relationships, sports etc when you have to know when to quit, or pivot. You spoke on you and your queen being separated for a few months.. at some point you had to know when to quit "the streets" and go back home to your woman. Knowing when to quit is just as an important message as overcoming obstacles. I think if the brother retune and refine his message he can kill the motivational speaking space! Dope episode family!

WOW, this is a mind blowing perspective! I love it. I was very VERY reluctant to take heed to his advice at first. But the more I've sat with it the more it makes sense. MY wife and I have something really cool in the works exploring this lane together..

I think the marriage aspect is a wonderful point to hit in being with the same person that long. Especially in a time where people believe side pieces and infidelity are normal occurrences in a committed relationships. I want to learn the challenges and the benefits of building with one person for a long time and how to communicate and listen.

Everyone has a story, big or small, it can still be used to impact or inspire others. I will not discredit this man. He knows he can impact and motivate them kids and that's important. At least he's doing it. And along the way, he might discover his purpose even more.

PS: I really appreciate David honesty of “of not knowing everything “ I can relate because last year during my recovery period the Lord inspired me to paint abstract paintings. I had a collection of paintings then I was invited to exhibit at a community college I was afraid of not being able to answer questions about my paintings! Well God put His words in my mouth! The young people when crazy about my drawings I was so grateful and inspired. I was also counseling and sharing my testimony . So Mr David I’ve got my receipt💕😁🙏

I agree, David. I have a channel/podcast. When I post stories about money/career, I get some views, not as many. If I mention about relationships sometimes there’s a bump in interest. The thing is I study career and money more than relationships. I see those changes more readily. I’m trying to figure out how to bridge the gap.

Prenups are a hard conversation to have but is very necessary you don't want to look stupid after the fact no matter how nice they seem what I'm telling you is a person is one way one year than 10 years down the line everyone changes everyone including you you won't be the same man she won't be the same woman so it doesn't matter how hard it is is necessary to see ya cover your ass

I COMPLETELY disagree with David. The individual in the video is all over the place...sure. But he does have a story. He just has to find his story...he has to spend that time to find it. For David to say "I have 2 parents"..."never been homeless"..."so that's why I'm not a motivational speaker"...that's the wrong mindset in my opinion. Now if he doesn't want to be a motivational speaker, fine. But I believe the individual has a story(outside of speaking on marriage). He just has to discover it.
