I don't understand this interior issue. Mine is fine and it's a daily. My seats are fine. My interior is perfectly fine. Are people not taking care of their C5's? I just had a blast at a drag strip this past weekend. Car was perfect. My car is a automatic and in traffic it's great. No transmission issues. No clutch issues. Slightly modded and I'm quicker than a stock manual Z06. Comfortable and young guys love this car. Analog without all that tech and flat screens. The car does what you ask it to do. You are in charge when driving.
@NavsGarage Cheap? Sure but if you don't take care of any car then it will be rough. You can't go out looking for project C5's to restore. You will spend the same amount of money if you just save up and buy a good condition C5. I have owned manuals all my life. Stop and go traffic sucked. If it's a weekend C5 only then sure grab a manual. I wanted a fast daily driver that wasn't so loud I couldn't have a conversation in the car. Comfortable car. Great space in the hatch at the same time fast with Minor mods. You can't go wrong at a road course, time attack, drag strip or a cars and caffeine event.
@@leonlawrencez28 Yes that is true but again they are just poor quality when you compare it to other cars. And again it's my opinion, the auto is a 4sp, not for me. I daily manual have for years.
Love your videos. I'd like to add that bottles of techron fuel treatment works wonders for these cars. I drop two bottles over two fill ups in the tank of my 03 Z06 every 1K miles. As they age, the fuel gauge is know to act wonky due to the setup of the fuel tanks and fuel system. Techron prevents that.
Thank you! And that’s good to know I have sold my z06 unfortunately but my car would have used that. Like you said when the car sat it would act weird for the first few miles.
@@NavsGarage Oh, you sold it? A car offered to buy mine a few weeks ago while I was at a gas station. I'll more than likely never sell it. Want to add a C7 Grand Sport or Z06 to add, along with a base C8, for a small Vette collection.
Yah I sold mine a few months ago actually. Wanted the money and space. Plus I never planned to keep it long. Unfortunately it stayed broken for me so I didn’t get to drive it a lot but it was a good car.
@@NavsGarage Ohhhhhhhhh. Mine was at a dealership for 6 f--king months starting in mid-September. But it wasn't the car's fault. No one at the dealership knew what was going on until an older guy in management got back from his vacation and pinpointed the problem within about 30 minutes. It was the ignition switch. Other than that experience, the car has been problem free for me. Next year, I'm going to change the spark plugs and ignition coils. But not going back to a Chevy dealership. Going to take it to an independent Vette shop. The problem is due to its age, the dealership can't diagnose anything outside of an oil change. 😀
Yah I had my car need a lmc5 and it was acting odd. I took it to a shop and even they had issues. I also had a misfire because of spark plug wires. Small things but I had limited time to mess with it so it sat.
C6s are overrated and get crowned the best corvette of all time constantly. C6 owners are toxic af. Don’t get me wrong they might be up there for me and tied for second place along with the C5. The C7 takes the crown for me . I agree, looks wise the C5 has a more exotic car stance and the pop up headlights add to the charm
For what???! To scrap on every single imperfect road or bump or run over something as scrapes along your car? No thank you. You can already open the door and touch the road without even trying.

Interiors are cheap really cheap. If you look at cars for sale they are rough. And never said the auto had issues imo it’s just not worth getting.

im 15 and really want a c5 what kind of c5 or c6 should i get?
Depends on your budget and what you want to do with the car.
Cool video, thanks. 1200 is rare though.
1200 total might be rare. 1200 of a particular color not so much especially in 1200 in a year.

Shut the car off in gear , no noises
Or just clutch in
This car will be good looking for ever and it was the most transcendent corvette ever can’t say the same of the c6 is ugly asf
I find a proper c6 much better looking with the z06 flair. But there’s something about a c5 I love so much.
C6's rear just looks too fat. C5 looks slimmer and sportier. Plus C6 doesn't have the pop-up headlights

Dude lower that vette , it comes with lowering bolts , get rid of those fender tire gaps

A quarter of a million C5s made. Still, they are great cars. Good video, despite you selling it. LOL
Thank you. And yah I had my reasons for selling it. I never planned to keep it long.
And then you SOLD IT! lol
Yah I did…. Lol
