    Great video by the way I don’t mean to correct the shot doctor, but in viewing the video closely (Curry) and in slow motion the guide hand doesn’t appear to snap forward like a tomahawk. Also that would cause a lot of additional strain in the shot and the supporting wrist. What it actually looks like is the guide hand and arm remain on the shot until the very last second, and simultaneously on the follow-through on the snap of the shooting wrist snaps forward and the guide wrist snaps to the side so to do a double snap. That’s actually a more accurate description of the shot… one again great videos i enjoy watching sound advise 👍

    I'm not sure if you look at the comments anymore but if you do, it would be helpful to make a video on how to catch and shoot without getting thrown off by the seams of the ball. Because it feels weird catching the ball sometimes knowing my hands are not in line with the seams.

    Hey Colin. How bad is a thumb flick. Cuz I have one and I’m a knockdown 3 point shooter. I’ve heard that Kyrie has one too so I’m just wondering if it’s something I should really try to get rid of or if I shouldn’t worry about it too much because I’m still a great shooter with it there

    • @randombutright1222
      @randombutright1222 Рік тому +1

      From personal experience don't alter your shot, I was an elite shooter with a thumb flick and then one day I ended up changing it. It turned into a horrible one-handed shot that completely messed things up, I even got cut from my basketball team. Just stick with your shot and make sure it's the same shot every time. As long as you got that your good. Make sure your mid-range is good as well as I was good from 3 with my thumb flick, but terrible from inside the arc. This was one of the reasons that I attempted to change my shot but changing it clearly didn't help

    • @youlookindumb7002
      @youlookindumb7002 Рік тому

      no point of changing it just risking becoming a bad shooter + losing range

      @@randombutright1222 Thx man. Yeah. I’m good from inside the arc. I shot 90% from the free throw line in high school. Im 21 now. Was supposed to walk on in college but I took a gap year and then covid happened and fucked everything up. Im starting a UA-cam channel this summer. Like D’vontay Friga. Going around to parks in New England and dominating. Be sure to be on the look out
