- I recently put my Spanish skills to the test during a trip to Mexico. It had been a solid six years since I last spoke Spanish, but you know what? It only took one salsa party and a few chats with the locals to get back in the groove.
To give you an example of my Spanish, I filmed this short conversation with my snorkeling instructor, Adolfo. We didn't arrange anything beforehand. I just told him I would ask him a few questions. Did I make some mistakes? Definitely. Do I have a Slovak accent? You bet. But as you can see, none of that stopped me from using Spanish. And that's the beauty of reaching a comfortable level in a language.
During my two weeks in Mexico, I spent hours speaking Spanish to different people on a variety of topics and I enjoyed myself a lot.

Wow! Lydia In México, amazing! It's great that you were here to visit. I can say I understand pretty clear what Lydia says and she sounds too natural defenitely. By the way, I'm from México.
Brava!!!
Have you been learning the language for many years but you still cannot use it in practice? I believe there must be something wrong with the system you have used. If you want to know how to learn a language in a fun and effective way, check out my website 👉 bit.ly/3Fmd6BU
Cool! I intend to start learning Spanish in July (as my third language). I find it fascinating how you (or any language learner) can quickly use a language at a conversational level again after such a long period of inactivity.
It's possible (and quite easy) after you get your language to a comfortable fluency level - that was Lýdia's goal for each of her languages. Have a great time learning Spanish 😉 Barbara from the LM team
Great video ❤❤❤, Can you please, tell us about code switching, because when I try to speak in a certain language, I find myself speak some words from the other language that I speak some of its words?❤❤❤❤ Best Regards ❤
And about your UA-cam channel -> 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Me parece que este señor es un Latinoamericano. Lo noto, porque tiene una pronunciación de America Latina.
Y la cara
