Tried to setup a three position switch for 3 flight modes; beginner (AS3X and Safe), intermediate (AS3X and Envelope), and normal (AS3X only). I could not figure it out without forward programming...
I'm just starting to appreciate planes like the Consciendo and the MOA, etc. This UMX version might be the push i need to dive in. I steered a fella who'd been out of rc flying for a decade or so, to BPRC on UA-cam, today. He saw me flying my brand new, magnificent, glorious FMS Maule. When I landed, he was all up in my plane, amazed by the SAFE tech (put an ar630 w/avian 45) and telemetry, etc. And it was dead calm, so I had her 3ft off the field, landing flaps, at jogging pace, rock solid. Hopefully, he's mashing your links right now! 👍
This is a plane I will fly. I have the conscendo and its fine for a foam sailplane minus the skinny tail. Its lines suggest a fast plane but its not. This little hottie is small and light so its a great performer especially with the UMX system. Good job Horizon Hobby. Buy this plane fellow pilots!
It is quite fast on 4s, maybe you can't fly? It is evident in several yt clips, just how fast the 1.5m Conscendo is. Maybe you should've specified which one you have, bc the evolution is a barn stormer. We can't read your mind!
Brian, I love all your videos. The unbox, build, and radio setup videos are always so helpful! Buying this plane and batteries from your links and go Cali!
Want one so bad. Only trouble is they are going to be expensive by the time we can buy them in Australia. Love your vids and love the different view point.
Thanks for this awesome video and the embedded good laughs! The acceleration from slow sailing to full throttle is absurd 😂. like a slow-mo of a bullet and then going back to normal (ok, almost). I love the Conscendo Evo, big and small, and fully agree with you. Fantastic job from HH.
Brian and Megan, you guys are great.Really starting to love these UMX planes,I have a fleet of them already, between my full size Champ and these little planes I don't get a whole lot of things done around the house, lol
Yes. Thats a class HH had yet fulfilled. It reminds me of a plane I loved , the HK Super Kinetic 815. These are not just sail planes they are Warmliners which are the little version of Hotliners. They're very quick and fun. Thus is a plane I will own soon. Thx B and M.
You guys and the rc sailors hands down have the best camera crew out here! Thank you for the awesome reviews! P.S looking forward to the "pontoon extravaganza"!
Thanks so much! We really appreciate the kind words, and while we're hyper competitive with the Saylors, we've gotten to know them over the years, and know for a fact - THEY WORK THEIR TAILS OFF!!! (as do we, of course) Sometimes hard work pays off ;) More Pondstravaganza coming ASAP - I just tried to get him back out for the 2 week "warmup"...but he's got some family emergency going on, unfortunately. He's a great guy, and we're glad we got him on the hook for when it warms up. When we're done with the pond, there SHOULD be another project right on it's heels! ;) Keep an eye out!
The only two I watch period. You and that awesome camera crew are no nonsense and straight to the point on every aircraft you demo. I flew back in the day of 049's and such. Just getting back into it again because of the videos you guys put out. Gave me that "fever" again. Lol. The conscendo Evo and the umx conscendo is where I'm starting...I can't wait! Not sure on the transmitter yet though. Thinking the 8 channel or the white 7 channel that recently hit the market. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you both man...great informational video's! The greatest hobby on the planet hands down! And yes...getting 2 each...lol
Don’t get me wrong it looks like a dream to fly. But i had a really bad experience with my umx timber x with the durability. The crash was caused due to a faulty elevator servo 😢 completely killing it and the fusaladge was totaled. So i think i will get the full size as i thing its a bit more durable. Thanks for the review!!!
I have almost every umx plane and the umx timber x absolutely sucks. I fly large scale 3D and even just flying around in a circle I hate the timber x. Absolutely don’t let it discourage you… the umx conscendo is my favorite umx
Great video...actually they are all good. You make a fine team and you're a VERY lucky man. I have some Hitter radio gear, both transmitter and several receivers. I'm really not interested in buying new radio gear. This little ship apparently comes with a receiver built in as part of the whole control unit. Can I cut the spectrum receiver away and use one of my Hitecs? Also the front end looks very fragile. Will a nose in destroy this plane? Thanks for your time and all the videos.
Excellent video as always! Out of this one, the p-51 and the waco would you say this is the easiest to fly and the best choice out of this three for less expirienced pilots? Greetings from Italy!
I’ve got exactly the same question. I love the look of the UMX Waco and the P51 as well, but the conscendo looks amazing too. Wish I could have all 3, but so expensive. Would love to hear others advice for less experienced pilots.
Hey Brian what's your verdict on the flaperon/spoilerons? Does it need them? Are you happy with your values that you chose? My Consendo UMX just arrived today with a new IX14 and about to start the set up
I think it's very cool to have them, but I haven't NEEDED them. THAT BEING SAID, I haven't had the opportunity to slope soar with this little bundle of joy just quite yet - if I were sloping, I'd want to be able to use the flapperons / spoilerons to help open up the flight envelope.
Thanks for the vid - mine just arrived 😁 Have you flown it on 2s? Mine won't respond to throttle on a 2s at 8.1v ... but fine on a 3s. Telemetry also reports 2.66v/cell on the 2s - as if it thinks it's a 3s that's very low (8v/3=2.66v) - any thoughts?
Same problem we had. Evidently there's an issue with some from the first batch. Please do contact Horizon Hobby for this...JUST talked to them tonight, and they will help you get this resolved. Very sorry for the issue!!!!
Hey Brian. Great video as usual. Got a question that probably nobody else is ever going to ask. Will the electronics in this airplane work on 2s batteries. Got a boat load of 2s batteries in different sizes and would love to get this thing for a stress free cruiser / glider to fly when the wind is 90 degrees to the stinking runway. If you’re not sure, just say you’re not sure. Thanks buddy. Oh. Almost forgot. Remind the Camera crew / Wifey that she’s doing a fantastic job. Your videos wouldn’t exist as is without her.
It's supposed to, but ours DIDN'T ;( They're working out the "BUG" in the software, but we don't want to mislead. We THOUGHT it was going to work too, but we were bummed to see that the 2S doesn't work *YET* - This is supposedly an EARLY production run issue, which has been caught, and they're trying to get it fixed. Most will fly on 3S, is what they're saying, and to be fair, they're right...3S is AMAZING!
I am genuinely curious about your property upgrades... hilarious how I used to think you were annoying and now other reviewers just don't talk enough for me. haha, thanks for your content and always showing how slow you can fly these airframes
Yes my initial impression back when I caught some of his vids for the first time was arrogance, slightly annoying but after a video or two I realized that was not the case. Just a personality that can be wrongly mistaken for that possibly. Now is one of my preferred reviewers as they are very thorough and always make good suggestions or points. Great channel.
Hi Brian, nice video! I have a Radiomaster TX16S transmitter, is it compatible with the reciever the Conscendo UMX brings with the SAFE option? Thanks!
I know that the NX Spektrum radios are better but if I have a DXS transmitter from the Aeroscout, will the DXS work with this plane. I’ve read that it will and some say that it won’t. I’m thinking it will work with SAFE enabled but that you can’t use the flapperons. It’s either SAFE or flaperons, is this correct? Thanks for your awesome videos, you’ve made me so excited about this hobby.
Short answer - No, Don't even try. If you want a BNF plane, get an NX7e (or better) and use it. bprc.me/Tx Long answer, "Maybe"... Spektrum put together this video ( ua-cam.com/video/g7iOkc8-jd0/v-deo.htmlsi=P1AEWBTlPu-2-LhE ) showing how this kinda works. Please keep in mind, when you watch this video, it only shows what happens AFTER you've gone through the work of setting up the BNF Profiles, which also doesn't add elevator compensation, which basically makes flaps useless, if you ask me. This feature will allow for running some planes that have retracts and/or reverse thrust, or if they run on 7 channels or less, but buttons will not be configurable like we do on our DX/NX Transmitters, and it will be a tedious and frustrating experience. If you were on a desert island, and needed to fly home in your RC plane, OR if you're in New Zealand or Australia, and costs are anywhere form double to triple what we pay here in the USA, then you MIGHT consider this approach, but otherwise...if you know you're gonna get hooked, stop wasting time and effort, and get the NX7e (or better). I promise, if you waste the time to do this with your DXS, you will sooner than later (like maybe 2-3 weeks) be buying an NX of some sort. It will be a waste of your time, and might even make you throw the DXS at a nearest brick wall, or possibly even an innocent bystander - don't do it ;) Now, if you were running a training site, where you needed 25 of these transmitter, THEN, I'd seriously consider getting 25 of them...this might make sense, since the cost would be crazy for 25 NX7e's, but to be frank, I'd rather have 25X a programmable Tx, so you can have the BEST flight experience, and TEACH how to use the features. If you get the DXS working, you will be using whatever they setup for switches, directions, and very little to no flexibility. This will cause a lot of confusion and difficulty in an already difficult time for new pilots. Hope this helps. Good luck, and if you need help setting up the DXS, just watch that video, and buy the several necessary cables to get hooked up to you PC to update firmware, and install the profiles, and a few long and frustrating hours later, you'll be where you would have been in 2 minutes with virtually any programmable Tx that we've ever shared on our channel (less the el-cheapo jumper T8SG - which is terrible). DXS - bprc.me/DXS USB to PC Programming SPMA3065 - TX/RX USB Programming Cable - bprc.me/SPMA3065 DXS Servo End Adapter Cable (if you got the DXS with a RTF, you MAY need this) - www.dpbolvw.net/click-9240406-15735260?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.horizonhobby.com%2Fproduct%2Fusb-serial-adapter-dxs-dx3%2FSPMA3068.html ~$145 + S&H OR bprc.me/Tx - Get the NX7e for about $300 + S&H and use it for a few years worth of planes and heli's
Oh yeah, thanks for the question. I KNOW exactly why you're asking. I asked this type of question when I first got into the hobby, and within a few short months, I had bought a DX18, which was the at or near the top of the line card at the time, less a couple weird "QQ" models, which offered things I didn't need. If you THINK you're gonna get hooked, don't even get the NX7e, just go for the NX10 - you will almost immediately forget the pain of the high price, and start loving the experience. P.S. This is not a sales pitch, it's an investment into YOU as a new pilot. Your experience, and difficulty therein will play a huge roll in the difference between your success and failure. If it's too hard, you might give up, and we've seen it WAY too many times. We want you to find success and ENJOY it too ;)
Just ordered one of these and I paused the video to read the manual during the flaperon setup. Not understanding what or why they are suggesting in the manual? To offset the flaperons with rudder?? And how do you like your setup, did you end up keeping those settings?
Hi, I have a question, I purchased this model today but I noticed that in the package there is no adhesive velcro to attach the battery to the model (in addition to the belt which is already in the plane) I noticed that with the belt alone the battery moves, did you put self-adhesive velcro under the battery to secure it? Thanks for the reply.
Spoilerons will help you change the airfoil of the wing, to a degree. Some use them to speed up the glide of a sailplane, but I use it to bleed off LIFT when I'm ready to land. You don't really "NEED" it for most flying applications on UMX planes, but I want it ;)
Another question, I read that when the light is blue on the model the mode is SAFE, while with red light the mode is AS3X. The thing I noticed is that when the model is in SAFE mode, the control surfaces move quickly and noticeably, while in AS3X mode you can hear the noise but they don't seem to move (unless you they move very little) is this normal in your experience? Thanks for your answer.
I have the umx radian, it's extremely light and gets pushed around in 3mph winds. This is a much heavier glider. Were i am its always windy, or most of the time. Is this thing good in 7-10mph winds?
I dont know what I did wrong in the setup but the plane wants to just climb everytime i throttle up.. to fly straight I have to literally hold the nose stick all the way up so as to fly nose down.. in any other plane this would cause the plane to go straight down to the ground, but with this conscendo it goes straight. The minute I release the stick it starts climbing again
Sounds like you're in SAFE, and somehow you got "LEVEL" set as going up hill. Step 1) See if you're in SAFE. If you ARE, get OUT of SAFE. Step 2) Does the plane fly "normal" YES - You have a SAFE setup wrong...not sure how to fix on a BNF with MicroRX Brick - Call Horizon Tech Support NO - Try TRIMMING it in AS3X, and I bet she'll fly good. Then try switching back into SAFE...does it work now? If not, then same thing, contact Horizon Hobby. The reason I'm saying "contact Horizon Hobby" is that you don't actually setup SAFE on this plane...it's setup WHEN you get it, only have to turn it ON. If it were a PNP and you were setting it up from scratch, you would have to set the LEVEL in First Time SAFE setup...which you shouldn't have had to do... Lastly, if you haven't already fixed your issue, CHECK THE RX BRICK FOR LEVEL in the fuse - is it glued or broken out of level? This can cause the plane to THINK it's flying level, when it's going up hill... if it is, fix it, and retest. Good luck!
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thanks Brian for the detailed guide. I really appreciate it. However, I am not aware of how to check the rx brick for level. I don't even know what that means :) google search took me to Lego bricks and masonry related sites for some reason. I'm not savvy with the hardware stuff, so I just followed your video and bound it. The plane is all glued in shut and has a plastic covering the electronics under the wing so not sure if that can be taken off or not to get to the fuse. I was in SAFE, but the problem is not just in safe. It happens even when I am off it. I tried trimming it to the max setting and that helped some, but not a lot. It still wants to go upward anytime I throttle up to even 40% and I leave the elevator sticks on its own. Is contacting Horizon Tech Support the only way forward or is there something I can do still?
Great video! Unfortunately, I ordered the plane before I found this video so I could not get you credit for the purchase...bummer. I will send you some bucks.
Hey Brian I've looked through your videos trying to find information about the wind sock/ribbon you use. I can't find anything about it. Would like to know where I can get one please. Thanks
Great videos - informative & entertaining. I have bought several models based solely on watching your reviews - unfortunately not via your links as I live in Europe. My only critique (I’ve made to you before) is that the radio setup portion of your videos is near impossible to follow. You’re all over the board and scroll through your various menus and setup steps way too fast. You make long videos so time isn’t the problem. If you wish to improve AND if you’re true mission is to support NEW COMERS, then SLOW DOWN and be more sequential during your radio setup portion. Otherwise - keep them coming - love watching you!
I wouldn't say they "usually" release UMX planes at any particular point. They're released when the containers arrive, and when they want to release them. There's still some lingering supply chain issues in RC.
would it fly the same w my aero scout transmitter? Can i control flaps w that remote. i bought one but scared to bind. i bought a bnf timber, flaps went to a down angle when i bound it couldn’t get them to a rest regular and when i maiden it it flew away. lost it. 1st flight
Horizon Hobby customer service it's extremely terrible!! I have been trying to get to the customer service waiting for a reply for over a week now. My UMX crescendo will not initiate on a two cell battery. Tried to contact customer service they're useless. Do I have to update the UMX crescendos receiver in order to get it to work on a two cell battery? Thank you both so much for your time your effort and your wonderful videos
I think I know what you meant, but there's not really CROW on this plane, since it only has aileron. With only ailerons, you CAN do flapperons and spoilerons. If you want CROW, you'd need ailerons acting as spoileorns, AND inboard flaps to make CROW, since they would be working in opposition to one another, in a CROW configuration. Hope this helps! Not trying to argue semantics, just not sure if you're aware of this.
hey Brian you are mine and my two sons favorite rc channel by far. we are pretty tight in our finances or id love to be a premium member. that be said i have and easy question i hope you can help with. i was takeing off the wing and when i unplugged the alerons all of the pins pulled out of the plug. the boys and i were hoping you could give me the order of color the pins push back into the plastic clip. i dont want to mic it up and burn out the board or servos then we would be out of flying for the next month or so. thanks for any help you can give us. keep up the best channel on yt

Please do a video on the blind spot on the so called Night Radian. At a certain attitude the plane goes totally dark. Ask the Horizon Hobby service rep. He owns one and admitted he knew what I was talking about. 30 year pilot here. Third fight the plane is in pieces. Horizon Hobby has forgotten a thing they used to have, customer service. Very sad.
I have experienced this "Blind Spot" on many planes too, but it's not like it's STUCK there! You just have to move the plane into a different attitude to resume your line of sight. I've flown them in fireworks displays, and that's where you'll REALLY lose them ;) We also cut out some of the decals to expose the OUTBOARD WINGTIPS BOTTOMS to help with visibility. You could also add some more to help too...don't want to lose a plane. I think Horizon Hobby need to work hard to get better with regard to some recent decisions, so YES. Fortunately, it's gotten SO bad lately, that they have had to start listening, and they ARE!!! Be on the lookout for some positive changes in the weeks and months to come. I agree there's some issues, and don't want to beat them too hard over the head, since we do work with them, and want for their success, both as partners, and as customer, but also as RC addicts, but some of the "powers that be" DO understand, and they are fighting hard to help fix some of these issues. They're getting traction, but it'll take years to undo some of the worst decisions, while others can be fixed at the drop of a hat, and they're working both fronts. We DO give them a LOT of feedback like this, if you weren't already aware. WE CARE, and most of the time, at least, they do too...but it's a hard market out there! Don't forget - there's a million easier ways to make a buck!!! We need to protect some of these American RC giants! If we don't they'll just stop and let China take their small hold-out in the market!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC That seems obvious and not an issue with the model and no reason to beat up HH! I have had 99% great service from them. They have fixed all issues related to “manufacturing issues/quality. Like a bad ESC.
@@BrianPhillipsRC I normally don’t complain too much to HH but the Night Radian is a joke. I flew it 2 times in daylight to trim it out perfectly. The night I decided to try out the “Night” portion of the plane I noticed the stock led settings were severely confusing in the air so I landed and changed the pattern to something better. Everything was good until I banked the plane in a left turn and only about 50’ high. The plane disappeared from sight! The support tech said he had experienced it also. So basically I’ve got a brand new worthless plane now and I don’t believe it’s my fault. The plane is advertised as being a night flyer and it isn’t necessarily so. Years ago I had one of the first Radians that came out, I decided to put my own navigation lights on it. Flew it for years with no blind spots and loved it. I’ve owned just about every plane E-Flite has made over the years, I’m just very disappointed in the service now.
@@Sircrashalot1993 no it’s just at a certain attitude the plane cannot be seen at night. Basically when you’re fairly low and turning away exposing the top of the fuselage the plane goes dark with the lights still on. It’s a known blind spot.
Brian can you fly a umx under 250 grams under a TFR what are the FAA rules no one can tell me. please help. I live in Delaware and we are under a TFR every weekend. thanks Bill
I don't think the FAA recognizes the sub 250 gram airplane as anything, let alone a DRONE. This is why we love it so much ;) They're very purposely ambiguous, as they want to be able to throw the book at you depending on who's arguing against you in court. If I had unlimited financial resources, I'd fall on my sward, and be the "test case" then bring a suit against the FAA, but we aren't in that position, and probably never will be, so for now we'll just do our best to "keep our nose clean" and not get in trouble. The new FAA rules are so ridiculous (and kinda always have been too). I can't help but likening their over-reach to a breach of our understood, Separation of Church and State. Right now in the US, the Federal Government of the US and their bureaucrats are demanding that we celebrate and worship THEM. We not only need to follow an impossible list of made up rules, which are many times borderline or outright unconstitutional, but also we must obey ever possible interpretation of the rule, no matter how egregious it may be. This sure sounds like a religion to me! We really need some super rich, popular, and beloved actor, comedian, or celebrity to lobby for us, which is also ludicrous in it's own right, but it's true. We're just becoming subjects here in the USA. We're losing freedoms in every conceivable direction (now UP too), and like many other bloated bureaucracies, the FAA needs to be reigned in, and they need to stop thinking they're in a Kingdom, with unlimited, unchecked power...but they will only back off if they're defunded, and slapped down, which congress is not willing to do, since they're getting cries from Karen's of the world over drones that were "filming them while showering" or some such nonsense. Can't we just classify a PLANE as something other than a drone?!?!!? How hard would that be. We have 10,000,000 classifications in aviation, but in RC, we can only have one...the most vague of them all???? Anyway, I'm rambling here, and wish I had the willpower to fight this fight more publicly, but we can't right now - way too much on the line to pick a fight with the Feds, since we're currently fighting one of the largest companies on planet EARTH, Google. I need to keep my "un-winnable" fights to no more than 1 or 2 at a time ;) LOL
Yes, but such is life ;( - That being said, ONE good thing about "houses popping up all around you" - they will keep the prices high, so if you want to sell one day, you may be able to capitalize on some appreciation. We hope to get this aerodrome setup, and love it for a few decades, or longer, then jump FURTHER out of town...but that's just our long plan, and we don't have specifics worked out.
Why do all the UMX airplanes climb under throttle? not happy with my UMX turbo timburr evolution because of that why can't they make them fly straight?
@@prowlus I tried it with both 2s and 3s. It's still crimes aggressively . On 3s I just about have to give it full down in order for it to fly straight and level makes it a pain in the butt to fly

This one is AWESOME!
Just crashed my umx timber yesterday. The whole wing ripped off mid air while I was doing Flips
Set the throws down to 97% or so, and this will help!!!! Sorry you had that happen! Did you ask Horizon Hobby for help?
@@BrianPhillipsRC yea I contacted them but they did not replace it. Or even the servo for that matter.
@@sanders457 oh wow thats sad 😔
Definitely need this plane. So cool!!
Thanks for the vid - mine just arrived 😁
Have you flown it on 2s? Mine won't respond to throttle on a 2s at 8.1v ... but fine on a 3s. Telemetry also reports 2.66v/cell on the 2s - as if it thinks it's a 3s that's very low (8v/3=2.66v) - any thoughts?
Same problem we had. Evidently there's an issue with some from the first batch. Please do contact Horizon Hobby for this...JUST talked to them tonight, and they will help you get this resolved.
Very sorry for the issue!!!!
Very nice job Jack Black im sold.
When you went from zero to Full throttle it reminded me of a X-Wing fighter jumping to hyperspace. lol lol
Thanks Buddy@@BrianPhillipsRC

Hi Brian, great video like always.Does the Spektrum 3s 450mah 50C fits in this or is it to heavy?
I doubt it, I think it's a bit too big... I assume you mean the new "Smart" battery, right?
@@BrianPhillipsRC Yes Brian, with IC2 connector.I will let you know when the plane is delivered.

Thanks!
I believe the Radiomaster will work with DSMX, but since I don't have one, don't want to speak to it with any level of authority.
thanks!@@BrianPhillipsRC
I know that the NX Spektrum radios are better but if I have a DXS transmitter from the Aeroscout, will the DXS work with this plane. I’ve read that it will and some say that it won’t. I’m thinking it will work with SAFE enabled but that you can’t use the flapperons. It’s either SAFE or flaperons, is this correct? Thanks for your awesome videos, you’ve made me so excited about this hobby.
Short answer - No, Don't even try. If you want a BNF plane, get an NX7e (or better) and use it. bprc.me/Tx
Long answer, "Maybe"...
It will be a waste of your time, and might even make you throw the DXS at a nearest brick wall, or possibly even an innocent bystander - don't do it ;)
Now, if you were running a training site, where you needed 25 of these transmitter, THEN, I'd seriously consider getting 25 of them...this might make sense, since the cost would be crazy for 25 NX7e's, but to be frank, I'd rather have 25X a programmable Tx, so you can have the BEST flight experience, and TEACH how to use the features.

~$145 + S&H
OR
bprc.me/Tx - Get the NX7e for about $300 + S&H and use it for a few years worth of planes and heli's
We want you to find success and ENJOY it too ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC WOW!! Thank you so much for taking the time and effort here. You and your videos are a class act, keep them coming!!
Just ordered one of these and I paused the video to read the manual during the flaperon setup. Not understanding what or why they are suggesting in the manual? To offset the flaperons with rudder??
And how do you like your setup, did you end up keeping those settings?

Welcome aboard!
Hi, I have a question, I purchased this model today but I noticed that in the package there is no adhesive velcro to attach the battery to the model (in addition to the belt which is already in the plane)
I noticed that with the belt alone the battery moves, did you put self-adhesive velcro under the battery to secure it?
Thanks for the reply.
They finally released it no more pre-orders I ordered mine today through PayPal I wonder how long it's going to take to get to Canada😊
Not sure how much extra time it takes to get to Canada.
I got my airplane today.
Hey Brian, just pre-ordered the UMX Conscendo through your link . That thing looks awesome!!!! Thank you

Nice!!!
What a fast sail plane… 👍🏻😎🇺🇸
Wonder how it slope soars. Probably great
Ordered the UMX Conscendo plus 3S 300 batteries (3) using your link. How do I know you got credit from HH?
Whats the benefit of adding spoilerons? Ive not added it so was wondering if it made any difference for flight before I did a maiden
Spoilerons will help you change the airfoil of the wing, to a degree. Some use them to speed up the glide of a sailplane, but I use it to bleed off LIFT when I'm ready to land. You don't really "NEED" it for most flying applications on UMX planes, but I want it ;)
What camera do you guys use for your videos?
Currently, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in 4K @ 60FPS
Thanks!
Thank you! We appreciate your support!
I would kill for some of that beautiful black dirt. 😉 Here in TN all I have is Rocky Top red clay and gravel. 😞
lol gotta love a glider that's more aerobatic than some "aerobatic" planes 🤣 👍
1000%!!!
Hi brian great videos can you tell me how I can get forward programming on my dx7 gen2 radio many thanks Graham
This is awesome!
Why do I foresee Brian jumping RC cars and motorcycles over and partly across the pond with his son?
Step 2) Does the plane fly "normal"
YES - You have a SAFE setup wrong...not sure how to fix on a BNF with MicroRX Brick - Call Horizon Tech Support
NO - Try TRIMMING it in AS3X, and I bet she'll fly good.
Hi Brian! Have you ever tried this plane with radiomaster?

Hey Brian
I've looked through your videos trying to find information about the wind sock/ribbon you use. I can't find anything about it.
Would like to know where I can get one please. Thanks
Is your windsock/ribbon homemade or can it be purchased somewhere?
That is fricn awesome 🔥
How is that thing so quick? I had to double check my UA-cam settings to make sure I wasn't at 1.5 speed.
Damn you Brian you cost me so much money...now I have to go buy this one... I have a full size one and love it but this one is certainly fun sized
Brian. Love the video. Love the plane, especially the easy flapperon setup.
Question: Can I set up flapperons the same way on my Aeroscout S 2?
Great videos - informative & entertaining. I have bought several models based solely on watching your reviews - unfortunately not via your links as I live in Europe. My only critique (I’ve made to you before) is that the radio setup portion of your videos is near impossible to follow. You’re all over the board and scroll through your various menus and setup steps way too fast. You make long videos so time isn’t the problem. If you wish to improve AND if you’re true mission is to support NEW COMERS, then SLOW DOWN and be more sequential during your radio setup portion. Otherwise - keep them coming - love watching you!
Guys what's the concensus on the best all all around UMX performer? If you had to pick one UMX plane to fly which would it be?
🤠👍🏻 Thanks
When do they usually release umx planes?
I wouldn't say they "usually" release UMX planes at any particular point. They're released when the containers arrive, and when they want to release them. There's still some lingering supply chain issues in RC.
Fun!
Does this handle wind better than the umx radian?
10000% better. It's almost IMPERVIOUS to wind!!!! No joke, this thing penetrates wind, like it's not there!!!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRCgreat, had the umx radian but conditions where I fly was too windy for it.

would it fly the same w my aero scout transmitter?
First one to like it I need to get me this airplane
What is the flight time and how fast can it go? ☺️ Thanks
I love this little plane. Please edit your setup for flaperons. Your explanation was VERY confusing!
Did you set up crow?
I think I know what you meant, but there's not really CROW on this plane, since it only has aileron. With only ailerons, you CAN do flapperons and spoilerons. If you want CROW, you'd need ailerons acting as spoileorns, AND inboard flaps to make CROW, since they would be working in opposition to one another, in a CROW configuration.
Hope this helps! Not trying to argue semantics, just not sure if you're aware of this.
Awww mannn

Very NICE! 👍👍😜😜🤣🤣😁😎
The FAA needs to leave us Foam pilots alone. Focus on the quad copters buzzing Freight trains.
Very sad.
Like all the lights turn off??
I hate when you have a good piece of property then houses start popping up near you!
@@BrianPhillipsRC sounds awesome!
