      and the good part is, science will only get better, so the implants will become even better and closer to the human ear. Right now, they are just basic devices and aren't even close, like comparing the model T car, and hopefully will evolve into a Porsche racer.

      Yes. I cannot imagine what it would be like to hear a powerful piece such as Bach Brandenburg #3 or Wagner Entry of the Gods Into Valhalla. That would be epic to see how they react. Good call, I never even considered that they have never heard those things before. Hell, they would be happy just hearing Lil Wayne...

    • @capsuleboy
      @capsuleboy 6 років тому +24

      That must be really sad, but at least you heard. I always wonder about the people who could never hear, some die without ever hearing a thing in their lives. And then some of them get to hear, at young age, which is ok. But when you listen at the age of 40, 50 or 60, That is really sad because they feel that life has been unfair to them. At least that is what I think, for example the last girl (the most popular), that crying I think it is because all those years life has been unfair to her. At least my opinion.

      There was a deaf girl from Switzerland who got a cochlear implant. She had a lot of speech therapy and also therapy to learn to distinguish different sounds, because she heard stuff but didn't know what it was. People said they couldn't hear that she had been deaf. Sometimes when she wanted to study she just took the cochlear implant out so she could focus better.

    Does anyone know how this works? What with the doctor/technician controlling through PC software the progress? I mean will they able to hear after leaving the doctor's office? Did they had a type of surgery and something permanently fixed or implanted?

    • @alexisazuara9649
      @alexisazuara9649 5 років тому

      Nicholas No More yes they get a surgery and remove the parts of the inner ear that doesn’t work and put a a chip that can receive sound from the implant and the implant is just a small microphone

    My newborn daughter didn't pass the hearing test first time around. So they came back next day to try again, and she did pass. Turned out she still had some ear wax and liquid stuck in there after birth. But that's exactly how I cried when she passed the hearing exam. The technician thought I was crazy 😊 She said, I've never seen anybody cry so much because their baby passed the hearing exam.
