There were almost 400k concurrent players on steam today.. these players leaving are ppl that play 24hrs a day and they’re not the actual mainstream poe2 players. That’s the honest truth. By the time I get to where these ppl are in the game it’ll be like 3-4 months from now. It would literally take the regular poe2 player 4 months to get to where these ppl are in like a couple of weeks. No developers should listen 100% to these players leaving. Ggg should just listen to them and start fixing things slowly but surely
also if you're new to arpg or PoE.. people usually starts leaving by 2nd or 3rd week BUT are returning on new league.. also GGG's objective is not to retain people for the whole league (or EA), they're aiming for people retention by making sure people coming back every league.
@@DFOXZTV yeah, dont worry, this just getting started. PoE1 had it worse on its first 2 leagues.. PoE2 started strong and i believe GGG can make this perfect on release.
As a casual, I really enjoyed the leveling process, but Endgame is a nightmare. I for one would like checkpoints or a option to select a easy mode for the end game maps. I don't have enough time to no life this game and complete the endgame maps.
what rush are you in? You are failing because of a pre set time limit that is in your head. Take your time and dont think about keeping up with anyone. A map that your build is currently able to farm takes 10 mins max. In one hour you can do 5 -6 maps. Then chill and back at it for an hour the next day.
Got to endgame and wanted to push through, but dev philosophy is not for me. I don't mind the difficulty, but the way they implement is horrible, and they make every single step a grind. There's no balance. I know it's ea, but I don't think it's going to change. This game was never meant to be balanced.
Some of the feedback are valid, but since you wrap it in such a doomsaying way where in reality the numbers don't really reflect what your title is saying (POE2 is still the 3rd most played game on Steam right now, with the highest retention rate in record). Also regarding your other points. Players are not meant to have an easy time running double delirium breach, each of these adds a layer of difficulty on it's own, but in your example you're in a tight spot, on a delirium active map, opening a breach without ramping your spark, nor using sigil of power nor mana tempest to get things going, and probably a bit undergeared in this situation as well. You also talked about character progression comparing it to WoW. I've been playing wow since TBC, I'm a Mythic Raider with decent RIO. I've also had 30k+ hours in POE1 and 300 hours in POE2, and I can assure you, knowledge about gear progression is much easier to gain in POE2 than it is in Retail WoW (Blizzard legit don't even explain to you about crest crafting, your first free crest is a "hidden" quest that you can easily miss, you're limited to how many things you can craft every week, which in return gives newer players very little room for mistakes, you're practically doomed if you don't know how to sim your gear). In contrast, GGG simplified gear crafting and affixes by so much and removed most crafting currencies that crafting is quite intuitive. As long as you remember what the currency item does, you'll eventually know what to do. I've also run a decent sized POE2 community discord with 1.3k+ members, and gear progression is among the least of a problem that newer player ever ask the veterans. And what do you mean that you need to get to 3rd party site to get information in POE2? That's WoW, if you don't read and learn how a class work in wow from icyveins or wowhead or watch some genius explain the rotation and mechanics for you as a new player, you're screwed. There's no such requirements in POE2. And everything is written pretty nicely on the tooltip what each currency does, and GGG has done a well good job in POE2 ex. "Upgrades a Normal Item to a Rare Item with 4 Modifiers, Right Click This Item Then Left Click a Normal Item to Apply It" this is the description for Regal orb, you can also press alt to check what Normal or Rare means. In contrast, "Provides the following property: Set Item Level based on Crafting Quality (623-636). Usable with: Khaz Algar recipes for Epic equipment made with a Spark of Omens." tooltip for crest, what the f does these mean? Do I apply it to the item? Do I use it during crafting? How's the item level has a range on it, I want 636. See, you legit will need to ask someone else or check on a website to figure out how this works if you're a new player. You don't need to do that in POE2 as long as you're bothered to read.
PoE2 endgame, and PoE as a whole tbh, is very simple, kill everything before you see it, or die because you didnt kill it and it saw you first lol Leaves very little room for endgame customization as your build needs to have a build where you can hold right click in a direction and it would kill for you so you don't have to worry about seeing anything before hand. Yea, bosses are different, too bad you gotta do a whole lot of bs gameplay that is extremely not fun, tedious, repetitive, and rng based in order to get to those bosses that are actually the fun part of the game
I can't even bring myself to finish the campaign the first time. XD I want to finish the campaign at least once (like I've done in every other ARPG of the last 20+ years), but I feel zero motivation to continue. The game starts with this methodical combat then quickly devolves into the same sh*tstorm of visual FX and wiping things out in .3 seconds as most every other ARPG. The crafting is absolutely horrible. The trading is archaic. How do they not have a built-in loot filter? Everything I hear about endgame sounds absolutely awful, too. It's EA so improvemnts will be made. Hopefully.
there will be improvements but based on recent interview with Legendary Drops, he said that the goal of the game is still exactly that (blow stuff up, become godmode), just that it would take longer to get to unlike PoE1... very sad they just chose to remake PoE1 instead of make a different game entirely
@@framinthor that is the point of mi video im not talking to POE players with 10 years of EXP but for the new player base ... just that , thank u for the comment
I hate to say it but I find the endgame boring. That's my main issue with it. I think it doesn't help that I built my defensives with Armour and it turns out Armour is garbonzo so I have to take every map super slow.
yes i saw karparian talk about armor , sad for u brother ... try out witch is pretty funny and easy to level , i will come with a witch video probly tomorrow or so .. thanks for the comment
PoE 2 is far closer to diablo 4 than it is to path of exile. it is full of non choices and zero complexity. it is watered down PoE 1 for casuals yet the casuals are still struggling. and the PoE 1 players are left with nothing to solve or optimize.
I agree with many of your points here, although this is Early Access BUT complaining about breaches while having the most OP class + ascendancy combo is WILD. Your damage is ultra low. 2:36 look at this. You are not shocking them, electrocuting them, nothing. No damage, no CC. You should just give it a rest. You are already contemplating it. Also, if it's not fun dying in a corner, maybe stop going in to corners and walls? It's a beach and instead of walking north and south along the water & towards where the breach will expand you walk east to the hill and get trapped instantly... Slow down, decrease difficulty level, get better gear and more gameplay experience.
First of all , thanks apreciated the tips . Second Im new to the game Im learning and is ok not a big deal for me , the rest of the video is explaning exactly That from a new player perspective . .. Thanks for the comment
so he has the most broken class + ascendancy combo but because he cant one shot stuff before they one shot him (essentially precasting 100% of the time as you run around), then it's WILD that he makes that point... the game starts off as methodical combat and ends up as hold right click while using WASD to move is the main issue of the game, the whole video is just giving examples of this, but the issue is just that one sentence, the endgame is not the game you are "advertised" when you start playing for the first 20ish hours of campaign (yes u can do it faster)
@@framinthor You got any timestamp of him getting 1 shot? The deaths I saw were all due to block in corner which he walked in to himself. I haven't been one shot since Act1 boss on my first char. If you are BOTH getting 1shot AND having ultra low damage you've done something terribly wrong with your build & gear.
@Pupixario you are missing the point entirely. The game design at endgame devolves from methodical combat in act 1 and 2, into a 1 button screen wipe endgame, because if you don't 1 button screen wipe, you are the one who will get wiped.
