It's kinda explained over the entire show that Jonas was actually a massive arrogant dickhead that blackmailed other people and did almost everything for self gain. So uhh, probably plenty of things.
Jonas Sr seems too high on his own farts to feel guilty about anything he's done. If anything he'd felt guilty that his son was more interested in being: A kid, a teenager, and a college student than he ever was in being a super scientist like his father. Makes sense that he, when presented with the opportunity to clone his son, would try to genetically make Rusty "less whiner," and "more winner," just like dear old dad, only to wind up putting a little half clone of himself inside the unsuspecting Rusty Venture.
Landon Letterman naw man, we’ve never seen anything about Jonas being alone. They gave it more than one season. It's so rare that shows of this magnitude are able to some so far without insane merchandising. It's honestly fantastic that Adult Swim gave these guys enough of a chance, and look how far they've come.
I think we've gotta give Dean some credit for deducing that since this second H.E.L.P.eR. thought he was Rusty that his father was also a clone. I know everyone gives Dean shit all the time for... Well... Being Dean, but I think we've gotta acknowledge that he's got a lot on the ball. Not many characters in this show would have the common sense to put two and two together like that. Really shows that Dean has the potential to come out of everything as a normal, functioning person.
Except it doesn't prove Rusty was a clone. If Rusty had a backup clone and the robot thinks it is talking to one that doesn't prove his dad isn't the original. It just proves there was a cloning program which we knew Jonas had been working on in season 1 -just not specifically for Rusty.
Keep in mind that Dean has also gone through some crazy character growth in the process to the point that despite still being at heart Dean he so much different from how he used to be.

Seeing this again. I'm expecting this Helper to come back again and be revealed as to whom was used to help make him organic. Knowing the franchise, this is likely going to be touched upon at some point.
My fan theory - Jonas built two learning beds because he knew he would have twin sons. Using early cloning techniques (like those used by real life by Nazi scientists) he was trying to clone a 'perfect human' (i.e. himself) by using an already fertilised egg, one that contained his DNA and donor a woman's. With some 'interference', this would make one perfect son (Jonas jr) and another with 'all the crap left over' (Rusty) i.e. the plot of the movie Twins. This would explain why Jonas Jr looked so much like him, had his genius ...etc, and why Jonas' legitimate children were both more similar (Rusty and the Monarch).
Dean is Rusty 2.0. He would be a terrible father and an even worse husband. The only advantages he has over Rusty are his hair and the fact Rusty isn't a completely terrible father (especially once his clone insurance ran out)

That's a theory I've been giving some thought to lately. It would explain how their mom could just walk away Either that, or she left right after the original Hank and Dean died
The revelation that Rusty is a clone is cool and all, but it opens up a big plot hole. If he's a clone, then what's up with his absorbed brother Jonas Jr.? That kind of oddity would only happen if Rusty was born normally.
Perhaps he was scanned and then created as an exact copy of his last scan, instead of having a bunch of clones growing in a lab the whole time, something like the PROBLEM machine with adequate resources. Then the Jonas Jr. growth would be included in the scan and recreated by the machine.
In an earlier episode when Dean first visits the house and talks to Ben, he mentions something about absorbed twins being a possible side effect of the cloning process (although Dean did not have any signs of one).
that robot is so suspicious he is saying hey is part organic and hey think dean is rusty and a clone it wouldnt suprise me if the robots organic part where origenal rusty
Jonas was the one who started the clone program, and I could see Rusty having to be cloned at least once, and it might help explain some of Rusty's trauma, but this has me wondering. Did Jonas start the program because of Blue Morpho's death and failed revival as a cyborg, or was it already in the works? If it was already running, did he choose to make Venturion instead of a clone because it would be easy to control and program him?
Hear me out. Dean is a clone of rusty . theres probably way more i need to rewatch the show for but a line the master said to triana allways bugged me somthing along the lines of generations of cloning ruining his genetics (to the point where his and trianas baby would have a foot for a head) why would a presumably direct clone of dean have that much genitic Rot (ik this is like dean 15 but all the clones were presumably from base dean ) Since we know rusty is a clone if dean was sired legitimately he would likely have LESS rot then rusty . im gona throw out an assumtion that jonas may have cloned rusty out of sucessive clones thus basicly ruining his son geniticly then trying to fix his mistake by implantng a partial clone of him in the final rusty thus creating JJ
It's probably that The Master lied to her about Dean being so genetically degraded, he wanted her to become a new apprentice since even untrained she was skilled enough to enter the realm. Really wish Blue HELPeR and Red HELPeR had interacted, would've been interesting to hear them share stories
Maybe because he thought Dean was a clone of Rusty, he thinks Rusty feels guilty for his life that he feels fucked him over? Either way, Dean here is more of a 15th chance, considering how many times both he and Hank died
Makes me wonder if there is a original set of the boys left with the mother and grew up normal…
No
That's a theory I've been giving some thought to lately. It would explain how their mom could just walk away
Either that, or she left right after the original Hank and Dean died
dermott
One can only hope. Though it would be funny if her kids ended up like Jonas, perpetuating the cycle
The watches really got an update xD
Jonas was the one who started the clone program, and I could see Rusty having to be cloned at least once, and it might help explain some of Rusty's trauma, but this has me wondering. Did Jonas start the program because of Blue Morpho's death and failed revival as a cyborg, or was it already in the works? If it was already running, did he choose to make Venturion instead of a clone because it would be easy to control and program him?
so hey is the combination of tech and organics wel if the organic part are original rusty venture i wouldnt be suprised
Rhys Darby
the original murray
He was lying to her to get her to give up on Dean and follow him, something that her father was trying to prevent from happening.
Very few of them are given.
I love Kiwi helper.
So..... that robot is partially a clone of Jonas Venture?
It begs the question, whose brain is inside that helper?
and they canceled the show
IG-88 Precursor
I... don't remember this scene.
So is Hank a clone of Brock Sampson or what?
