There have been many times when games have received polarizing reviews from fans, with some absolutely loving the experience while others expressing feelings of dislike and frustration.
These feelings can arise from a multitude of reasons ranging from radical changes to a franchise’s identity to gameplay mechanics or even certain narrative choices among others.

Days Gone divided critics more than it did fans. It's a great game.
Days gone is one of the oddest games for me.
I loved it but i do justify those early reviews that trashed the game. Mostly the ones that focused on the bugs.
I bought the game day one and experience multiple crashes. Voices did not match the models during cutscenes. Some camps flat out didnt load properly and had invisible walls. I put the game down for like 2 months before trying again.
Game was night and day. It played a lot better and became one of the few games i actually cared enough to platinum. Wish sony had actually cared about this game enough to support it.
They never really gave it a good marketing push and they abandoned it after release. Despite decent sales

Same. The adrenaline of suddenly coming across a heard of 200 zombies, running for your life, preparing a plan and executing it to destroy them is like nothing else.
I wouldn't go that far personally. But I really do enjoy days gone, enough to play it 2 times since it came out on PC.

Arkham Origins is a brilliant game.
Maxpayne3 is one of then best TPS games of all time spinter cell conviction is also great. Gaming Nerds always bitch when a game is a bit differnt from previous ones.
Watch Dogs 1 always has been the best one in the series.

mass effect andromeda nowadays is actually kinda fun from a combat gameplay perspective..although using mako for exploration is kinda frustrating...

Days gone was only bad at first because it wasn't ready yet to be released. I got it on pc and it's incredible. It's def not considered weak anymore, just look at what ppl say in every comment section now
Nah, you still see a lot of dissenting voices on Days Gone too. It's pretty divisive today too.
Honestly think it's because the beginning is so clunky feeling. Shooting especially feels like shit in the first couple hours, and it feels like there's ammo scarcity because if you try to fight, you'll blow right through your ammo regularly, without getting enough money or loot restock.
I say that because that's a lot of the complaints I see, and it's what chased me off the first time trying it. Which was only a year or so ago.
I love MGSV. It’s sad they released such an unfinished game. It’s impressive how polished it is all things considered. It would be one of the best games ever if it could have been finished with Kojima at the helm.
Makes me sick to my stomach that both The Last Guardian AND Arkham Origins are on this dreadful list.

Talking about divisive: I really liked Starfield. It wasn't the ground shaking new game as advertised, but I enjoyed it for the game's flaws and I'm interested to see what expansions it gets.

whoa whoa wtf max payne 3 was fucking amazing so was arkham origins, splinter cell conviction, gears of war judgement, days gone, syndicate, halo 4, and mgsv to me they're all great games way better compared to games today
oh shit i forgot to mention hitman absolution that was a good game too yeah it wasn't as good as the other 3 hitman games but it's better than the new hitman games that are out right now

i still think resident evil 6 was just a disappointment.
im pretty sure there were 4 other videos with this list shuffled around...you guys gonna try something more unique or at least add less obvious titles? there were millions of games and its always the same ones in different positions with slightly different titles that mean the same.
