- Dr. O shares a patient story of how a patient suffered from a broken dental implant due to improper placement and dental material choice. He will explain the reason that the implant broke and how to make sure that when you get a dental implant you can be certain to avoid this problem for yourself.

Thank you Dr. Most of our patient think that an implant cant fail , and don't know that even the bone and gums around the implant can have recession and should have take care of their implant as a real tooth.
I thought the front portion of the lower molar that fractured, (2:51), is the buccal aspect of the tooth, not mesial. But a really great and informative video!
Hello Dr. O , Will you consider doing the zirconia implants for those who are allergic to titanium and the alloys ? Your placement method seems incredible . Also there are the one piece screws with the abutment options now and what is your opinion of these please .

🚨 I wish u were in California! I just went for a check up today and I found out that tooth decay on the top of two of my front four teeth, which is not that big. The dentist is recommending crowns on the two teeth with decay. She also said it would be better to just do all 4 front teeth with crowns to match better.. what are ur thoughts? It’s a hard decision.

Personally, I need to remove two broken lower teeth and replace them with implants + the placement of implants on 3 more teeth that were removed years ago or 5 teeth everything. Great video! But may be the new tibase height is a little bit short. Longer height i think will help to secure the Emax crown better in long term
Was it a tissue level or bone level?. It looks like a implant with vertically polished collar. The polished part isnt ment to be in the bone, or did the surgeon leave the sandblasted part out? Then it comes to the implant abutment connection. The previous doesnt seem to have stable conical connection. I really like your implant position and better emergence profile and screw retained crown! However with deeply placed implant I think the patient would be better off with higher Ti Base, 2mm at least. Also how much immobile keratinized mucosa in buccal area of the crown is there?

Hi had implant 2 years ago . Did not use 3D problems trapped food implant too large cut off next tooth to fit in and too deep at wrong angle. Result pushed lower teeth pushed forward
Bottom lower right . After failed deep canal filling . Pain and disappointment.
Can you do a video about the sinuses lift for the implant? I've looked online but I still don't understand where the bone graft comes from? Is it what comes out when drilling to get to the sinus and is placed back farther up to lift the sinusmmm or...??
Hello Doctor! I have a question and believe you may be able to help me. I have been squizing? my teeth during my sleep and suddenly started aching (one of my teeth on the back) I did go to a periodontilogist did x-rays and told me that there is an irreversible condition created to the bone from this "habit". He described it as bone has been loosed not beeing able to keep the tooth in position 100%. He told me that there is nothing that can be done and we will try to keep it as long as possible by using during sleep a .... (I do not know the word but I'm sure you understand) so that teeth do not come in contact and are kept together one next to the other for avoiding the shaking of this tooth as well as other teeth that may have the same problem. I did ask if there is a graft or a way to "close" this gab but received a negative answer. My teeth and gums are in excellent condition and feel awful of this situation that was unexpected and did not know about it. I was wondering if there is something or some progress on this condition. Thanks a lot for your help!!! Keep up the great work!!!
By the way, when the implant breaks, is that painful? Or is that asymptomatic?
I had a implant fail - - my surgeon was good- - it broke loose from the bone so it was easy for my surgeon to remove it
I sure wish you could help me get some help with mine my partial broke an needs two teeth pulled and some cavities filled on top front teeth. I can't hardly eat only have front teeth no back teeth on top or bottom back to eat, you can't see it from my front teeth I'm embarrassed to smile or even talk. I've been a widow for 23 yrs I'm disabled due to 3 back Surgeries. Just lost my dad that was going to help me & 4 mos later my son got killed in auto accident. I can't afford to get mine fixed. I had two implants put in. But I never got the teeth put on them because I retired and we took off full time in our RV. I think one of "plugs" is loose now, 3 years later. Can I just twist it back in?

Hi Dr, I put my whole poor life into fixing my teeth
I did it all, 2full bridges to cover my top teeth.
I need help what to do, it only lasted about 4 months, then re cemented ABC's lasted about 1 month, but I was able to keep them in for about 7 months. I couldn't go back to the Dentist bc I got mad and he just didn't want to do any work after what he was paid for but held nothing accountable towards warranty.
Now my back tooth cracked.

I was amazed by the end result from the lab, but keeping them in not so happy with the work the dentist did. He didn't want to do any build up ect.

I'm concerned about implant screws from China that look like standard wood screw thread. They are listed as titanium but look like stainless . They say FDA approved but I found out many electrical items that have a CE approval stickers are not Certified but instead China claims it stands for China export !

Thank you for explaining CD fully guided implants. I just received a call from the Veterans administration who approved me for two dental implants, 29, 30 but 31 I don’t have enough bone density. My question I previously had been approved for three dental implants 29, 30 and 31 for bone grafts and implants. Without you knowing my history it would be impossible to know why one Dentist approved me for three implants and the other two.
How did you get approved by VA for dental implants? Is this possible for disabled rated vets at 92% but compensated as for 100%? Thanks?

Absolutely Sir, I was 92% rated TDIU 100%. All you have to do is make a dental appointment at the VA, don’t do the consumer care Dentists who are outsourced. Remember be patient and prepare to go through a series of X-rays, exams etc; if you are not approved the first time trust me don’t worry call or email the patients advocate. One other thing get a second opinion, you must have enough bone density for dental implants, sometimes they can give you bone grafts.

Nowadayes we don't use trrphine bur to remove implants, it is very traumatic. Implant removal kits, for ex, the kit by neobiotech is perfect, less traumatic, safer and easier for the patient. When U remove the failed implant, U can place another one. It is termed in the litelature as ( second attempt))(matchi, et al).
Its success rate is slightly lower than the first attempt, but still high.

Hey, remove the implant is more painful then when it was placed on the jaw? You said it's necessary to remove more bone, but it is necessary painful for the pacient? It's the same of a teeth extraction?

Today I have 2 zirconia implants inserted, all was very good. 😊

I have 4 zirconia implants done, 3 back molars and one upper incisor. They were done 5 years ago and are better than my original teeth which were not properly aligned.
They were all 3D guided implants.

Hello, my temporary all on four has broken in half in between teeth and come out. My permanent is not due till the end of September. What is the best glue I can use to repair it please?
Do not try to repair these yourself. It is very important for you to see your dentist and make sure you don't break a screw or lose an implant.
@@InnovativeDentalofSpringfield Thanks, but I'm not going back to Turkey before the permanents are due. They don't pay the flight, even though I think it's their fault ie the arch was probably not wide enough by a couple mm??
Instead, I am attempting to put it back on in two pieces. I've tried Fixodent and Polygrip, but the pieces won't stay on for long. Waiting now for non dissolving gum adhesive in the post.

Can you tell me how you are able to install implants and completely change a patient’s mouth in one day, when it has taken over 9 months for my dentist to place 3 implants which are still unstable so he encased the 2 implants in temporary dental composite material. The implants have movement. My question is simple, I would like to know the permanent dental cement used when operating on dental patients for the one day makeover. I’m not asking for a recommendation on the cement but just point me in the direction so I better understand the materials and methods. Thank you very much, Alan
Hello, do dental implants impair speech/makes speech sound muffled/lisp? A dental bridge does impair speech bcz it affects the natural air-flow in the buccal cavity, especially if it's a bridge that replaces the upper four incisors? I'm seriously considering going to Innovative Dental to replace the bulky, fused bridge with individual dental implanted incisors BUT I would not only want to look natural but SOUND natural as well.With a dental bridge one usually gets a lot of frowned eyebrows when talking to people.Please help & thx.
Great question! Really either of these treatment options when done correctly will not inhibit the speech and should be natural. I can’t think of any issues with patients and their speech.

Hey doctor, I had a cracked tooth and went to the dentist last week. He ground my entire tooth down into a pit and then filled it so that it's flat and below the level of my other teeth. He is supposed to put a crown on it but it won't be in for two weeks so I just have this flat, mini stump.
My question is how is a cap going to stay on when there is very little surface for it to cement to?
Did this dentist destroy my tooth? Oh, he only got his license in August 2021-I didn't know that until I got home. He is using the office of another dentist.
Also, he's charging me $1350.00 for this.

Only $1350? You got a deal. Crowns can be put on smaller stumps. I've had a bridge lasting years on stumps.
