Here at STIHL, we’re always finding new ways to innovate and improve our expanding range of cordless tools for professional groundskeepers and landscapers. And the new STIHL BGA 200 professional leaf blower is no exception to this, being our most powerful cordless leaf blower to date!
Petrol powered backpack leaf blowers require ear defenders and often the noise can disturb people in close vicinity, but the cordless BGA 200 is extremely quiet for such a powerful machine. Its low noise output means you don’t need to wear ear defenders during use. This also makes it perfect for when you’re working in noise-sensitive areas, such as schools and public areas.
The BGA 200 comes with an outstanding blowing force of 21 Newtons and a high airspeed of 84 m/s (metres per second). It provides exceptional blowing power for professional users when tackling tough clearing jobs. In comparison to our petrol leaf blowers, the cordless BGA 200 sits respectably between the STIHL BR 350 (17 N) and BR 450 (26 N), two popular backpack blowers amongst the professional groundskeeper and landscaper communities.
A useful feature of the BGA 200 battery powered leaf blower is that it allows you to adjust the blowing power of the machine during use. It has 3 levels and a ‘Boost’ mode to select from, which can be adjusted using the dial on the handle. This lets you choose the power you need depending on the type of cleaning job you are working on.
If you are blowing particularly heavy and wet fallen leaves from a lawn, you can set the BGA 200 to ‘Boost’ mode, which provides a high-performance blowing power of 21 N.
Alternatively, if you are blowing garden debris, dry leaves or grass cuttings from paved surfaces, you can set the BGA 200 to ‘Level 1’ which blows at a much less powerful 5 N. It also means you can conserve the working time of your battery for other uses throughout the day.
The BGA 200 leaf blower is part of the AP System, which means it is compatible with AP batteries, which can be worn on a belt or in a backpack. The BGA 200 is also compatible with the AR backpack batteries which gives you longer run times. We recommend the AR batteries for the BGA 200.
You can choose from two different ways of using the cordless blower. You can either use it as a hand-held blower, which is especially suited for narrow, hard to reach areas or cleaning around obstacles. You can also choose to use the new comfort carrying system, which hooks the machine onto a hip adaptor fixed to an AR battery belt. This option is great for when you need to clear large areas and when working for longer periods of time during the day.
Another useful feature is the cruise control throttle lock. This works in conjunction with the ergonomically designed comfort carrying system and second handle, allowing you to lock the desired level in place at the push of a button. As a result, you don’t need to hold the trigger and can direct the blower really easily making clearing jobs even simpler!

How long would you get out of an AP300 when used with this?

Hi, thanks for your comment. The working time varies quite a bit depending on which level you select when using the blower, but with an AP 300, on the lowest power level, the working time will be up to 78 minutes. On the highest power level (the Boost mode) it will last up to 12 minutes. Thanks, STIHL GB

@@johnb8956 Hi John, of course, the BGA 86 has a working time of 21 minutes with the AP 300.
The BGA 100 has a working time of 83 minutes on the lowest power setting and 16 minutes on the maximum power setting.
