John performs his hit Jackie Brown on the Late Night Show With David Letterman back in 1989 to promote his album Big Daddy. John also performed his other hit Pop Singer. He performed Pop Singer at the beginning of the show. This is one of the earlier videos of him being called "John Mellencamp" instead of his stage name at the time "John Cougar Mellencamp".
