Chuck please do an episode for those who are already diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. There are lifestyle medicine programs that cancer patients can take to heal cancer naturally. It's not mainstream and those who opt to take it suffer from all kinds of pressure.
Focusing on plant based foods. Increasing fiber intake to 30-50 g a day. 30 g per day is the minimum for women, 38 is the minimum for men. Diversity is necessary - 30 different plant foods a week. This includes veggies, fruit, herbs, nuts, seeds, legumes, healthy fats (olive oil). I would limit grains if not cut them out - common intolerance, not as nutrient dense, and contain phytates.
Applause for Chuck, letting Dr Kristi go on and do her presentation without feeling he had to stay involved with any additive comments. Good job, Chuck!
Nationwide, schools should hire, on a mandatory basis, nurses/nutritionists to teach this in a semester class. Mandatory. Our children and parents need to know about this extremely important research and dietary information.
I was listening the podcast and immediately went to UA-cam on Chuck’s request!! Loved it! Such an amazing doctor! So much information! I wonder if she ever sleeps. So much energy!
Love your book. Just had a lumpectomy and lymph removal on right side. Bought your book and following plant base diet religiously along with drinking your smoothie daily. Thank you. What are your thoughts on THC oil? Taking black seed oil too.
I listen to your podcast on my iphone while I walk each day, but I had to bring this one up on my UA-cam so I could watch Dr Funk and see her slides (as Chuck recommended). Fascinating information for us menopausal women who eat to prevent cancer- including breast cancer.
what a wonderful lecture about how to prevent breast cancer, I learned a lot. I'm a breast cancer survivor of stage 1 invasive, had 3 weeks radiation, took anastrazole for 6 years, had bi yearly mammos, US bilateral breasts and MRI's. I'm learning how to eat more plant based diet and other factors and causes of breast cancer. Dr. Fink's talk was very informative and excellent.
Thank you! I'm always studying nutritional panels to address my own needs at 73, and found soy is my friend. It's a great option, at least for me, to manage my protein needs.
I just loved this presentation and look forward to so much more! I will listen to this each day, There is so very much more to learn! And of course In can’t remember it all, so listening each day will be extremely helpful. Thank you so much!
I and my sister Beth who is now undergoing chemo therapy because she has malignant breast cancer, just watched your Podcast 'Top 12 Breast Superfoods. We enjoyed watching it's interesting.
Fascinating, enlightening, and so helpful. I lost my mother to bc in 1998 and both my aunt and grandmother had it. I don't see it as a death sentence and all of this research is so encouraging. Cool move with the breast buddies support network, too. I hope I never need it, but if I do and for those who do, I'm glad it's there.
You are wonderful Dr. Kristi . You are someone I wish I could ask a big ?. Am still dealing with breast cancer after surgeries...my ? is why is it always left without getting it all ...4 surgeries but comes back immediately leaves me wonderi n g if it was consistently left. One admitted he didnt get borders.
Any studies on Collagen & Hyaluronic acid supplements interactions effects etc on BreastCA tumor cancer cells metastasis proliferations? Also effects on hormonal therapy tamoxifen drug ER+ PR + HER2- Stage1? Thank you Sir & Dr 🙏🌎🌹
bile acids. do they turn into calcifications in breasts. does pooping only matter or does fatty liver and gall stones and high cholesterol lead to changes in breasts?
Be aware of the source of your turmeric: often turmeric from India is contaminated with lead. Also too much turmeric can hurt your liver. If you want it to stay in your bloodstream for anti-inflammation add a little black pepper.
@@k8eekatt If not from India, where should it come from? My bag of Tumeric says non-irradiated, organic and gluten free. The website says they periodically test for lead. I only use 1/4 tsp per day and always add pepper.
Beautiful! Please ask one of these wonderful drs to talk about true Raw honey and cancer. Especially buckwheat and orange blossom. The small amount of gov resources I found ( and not always understanding the language used ) …. If my Drs were on top I should have used while on Folfox ( 5fu ). Helps in a lot of ways. I appreciate. Thank you.
It's not true that red wine prevents heart problems. My FIL was French and swore his daily glasses of wine would protect him. At 79 he died of a heart attack. I was visiting France recently and saw a special TV program about how they are very worried about heart disease because the French people believed those studies.
That's so sad, I'm sorry! My grandfather was a surgeon who also believed that. He thought Vodka would keep his veins cleared and of course, he had a stroke.
I understand you feel the need to make information attention grabbing but I doubt it with ypur audience. Mention of Olivia Newton John although deceased was unnecesary and hit me in the gut . The tragedy for her family and Olivia is to be respected even by the bigshots AMA.
I so appreciate what you're doing here. I'm watching the whole video, but I have to say, I'm finding it very hard to follow you with all of your antics. The way that you're talking. I think you're trying to be cute and interesting. But it's actually really hard to follow what you're saying. It would be easier if you spoke just plainly and clearly. Because you are talking to people who don't know all of these studies and numbers. You're doing all this up-and-down tones with your voice and joking around and it's very hard to follow you. So constructive criticism is all I'm trying to share here because I'm finding it difficult t I follow what you are actuslly saying. And I really want to understand this information. And I do very much appreciate it. And yes, I have breast cancer, and I'm at the beginning of the journey, so i'm trying to make wise decisions.
She doesn’t drink-or at least recommends we don’t drink, and I am pretty sure she follows her own advice. She’s just very chipper and excited about the information she can share with us.
Dr.Funk, I think you are knowledgeable and want to help but your 1hr and 24 minutes of 4 ways to beat cancer was a lot of very FAS T PRESSURED SPEECH AND THAT should have been divided into 3 or 4 separate presentations! Way too much at once! I felt even more discouraged when it was FINALLY OVER,! THEN YOU BASICALLYsaid if I'm diabetic and on insulin none of this can help me anyway! Feeling worse than before I listened. Irritating to hear you brag about never sitting in a chair.you are young, skinny, energetic and in good health.. I do not feel guilty for sitting in a chair. Please recognize elders who have more than one difficult health issues to consider. I'm generally upbeat and optimistic.I wish you well!
I like all that she says except for when it comes to spirulina, I used to love It and thought it was the best super food ever. It create a false vit b situation, please look it up and do a study on it. I was disappointed. And a bit shocked, because the studies are credible, I don’t know what to believe?

Please tell me more about this. What lifestyle medicine programs?

Chuck has my love and respect too!

1. Eat whole food plant based diet
2. Reduce/limit/avoid alcohol
3. Obesity
4. Exercise
I put whole grains in my smoothies! And beans sometimes, but most often silken tofu. 😋

I'm sure if people vote for school funding, they will do this. Let's bring back driver's ed and home economics too.
I was listening the podcast and immediately went to UA-cam on Chuck’s request!! Loved it! Such an amazing doctor! So much information! I wonder if she ever sleeps. So much energy!
Chuck you deserve my compliments too! Great podcaster!
She is so awesome. Thanks, Chuck and Dr. Funk!

OK... Couldn't get past the first Blustering " Funk Run" 5 mins ... I'll try again when feeling stronger !!!!
great video
Thanks for sharing this video
bile acids. do they turn into calcifications in breasts. does pooping only matter or does fatty liver and gall stones and high cholesterol lead to changes in breasts?
will taking the supplements HELP? for instance, taking sulforaphane supplement?
whole grain or whole wheat pasta? never heard of whole grain
Great video as always. I don’t like garlic or mushrooms so could I use a powder version? Also, is Tumeric anti-estrogenic?
Yes, you could. And yes, kurkuma/turmeric was on her list.

Why aren't you shipping those shirts internationally?
Can anyone assist with how to purchase the shirt from the website?
berries have sugar, isnt that bad for cancer growth?
Omg! Chuck was hoping for a breast cancer bra! That was so cute
Tt will take time haha
What about using mushroom powder?
"Total package" so funny. Both of them.
folate in multiv?
My husband makes broccoli sprouts from seeds but sometimes they don't sprout
When sprouting I find broccoli growth is compromised by air born molds. Spray sprouts with 3% hydrogen peroxide and then rinse. Sprouts grow fine.

Organic apples or any apple ?
Thank you
@@laetitiaumusindarwejo6526 I read apples that were not organic were taken off school foods due to hi pesticide readings😢so definitely organic😋

What about women who have B. cancer?????

Interesting but find this woman difficult to listen too. Slower speech and better enunciation would be helpful.
No beat cancer pasties? Disappointed
