This video is just a quick walk-around of our 2001 BMW e38 that we recently swapped a turbocharged LS1 and 4l80e into. The car made about 620whp on a Dyno Dynamics dyno (see other video).
The cruise part of the video is to give you an idea of it's city manners and how it drives. I only did one medium pull, all of the rest was very light throttle. It's super comfortable to drive and still retains that 7-series luxury feel.

Visible exhaust and perfect sleeper, WTF? It is the opposite, no exhaust visible just like stock.
Absolutely no reason to show the exhaust and make it more uglier.
Almost like modern cars where exhaust is faked, drawn on to the bumper. Like some kind of obsession to show the exhaust.

I respect the ability to not hoon the crap out of that thing at every possible chance.
The guages, exhaust and ground effects arent my style but the work is so clean!! The cab, engine bay and exterior 10/10! Then that ride quality!! nice build!!
Another dream build done!! Great job!!! But for a E38, just a couple more hours needed to go in to get rid and consolidate those gauges. Maybe removable pad or phone access of sight; and HVAC of course wether Prius style, or gm compressor with pressure sensor mod. And the cherry of top cluster without the faults. Coding cluster and manipulation with tools can make a few things go proper.

Nicely done my man! I LOVE BMW's. I've had several since I started driving, currently I have an 01 E39 540i/6 Speed-Mt Your E38 is Suuuuper clean to start off with, the swap is nicely done as well! Very clean install. Was it easier to stay Auto trans V.s. making it stick shift? Either way, Super cool swap. I love it! Best of luck! From Fort Worth, TX.

This Swap would be impossible to drive on the german roads.
The TüV a technical control unit which you have to visit every two years would cancel the car.
Without the control you cant registrate cars in germany.
Respect for the work you realised.
These engines are from Corvettes and incorporate the entire ECU and emissions from the corvette, there is a factory MAP and everything. The car would easily pass inspection. OBD2 would read as a Corvette. The car would be fine
What engine and transmission did you use in your build
did you leave the steering gearbox or convert to 5 series subframe with rack and pinion
Had the white on white ground effects stock motor changed exhaust all aluminum tubing flow master .Larger throttle body K. N. N cold air induction computer tuning no governor shut down eliminated its no ls turbo but it did well for a car that came with 300 hp the car would go 175 plus mph smooth as silk

ive got a 7 series with a m62b44 and im thinking of supercharging it too, ive been reading forums but cant find much on roots style supercharging, do you think the eaton m112 could be fitted to the m62b44??? great video brother.

I am so in love with this car with the exception of the gauges, why not just go digital dash?
Could get em done. And keep the oem just needs to do some old school coding. And. All those gauges could be access in a phone or android for recording and or viewing. But at least a monitor and delete all the FF2 shit and clean up the finish

Since you were doing all those mods, you should've added a back-up camera/nav/Apple CarPlay system too.

Just an FYI these guys and the rest won't make or sell you mounts build them your self and if he were to rip that car once on pavement the axles would break

And the gauges mount them inside the air vents. U would still be able to read them I used to hide all my gauges close the vents Then tell people my a/c don’t work 🤣🤣🤣

Did it with a friend on his E38, I'd say around 20K USD, maybe more because our motor mounts are 1 of 1 built for around 1500hp at the crank.
