@@davidharding200 A gibson is a guitar you will want to keep your whole life. Epiphone is a replica. It's not hard to save up $1500 USD for a heritage instrument. It may sound like a small thing also, but the nitrocellulose finish is something you want for sure. It will break-in over the years and fit more and more like a glove compared to the poly finish which will always feel like you're playing a plastic guitar. I agree the epi sounds and plays great, but I think this guitar is a steal, especially compared to other Gibson LPs. AND don't forget the hard case which would cost $200 on its own.
I've been wanting one really bad I have even thought about trading in my american-made fender ultra Stratocaster will I'd be taking an 800 dollar loss on it inless the music store would give me a few hundred bucks and the TV special but I really love that strat too
My TV Yellow’s neck pick up does not sound like that. It sounds muffled like its tone knob is set to 3 when it’s already set on 10. I adjusted the pole pieces but it doesn’t sound similar to my other P90 guitar
I feel you, everytime I see footage of someone playing one, it sounds much clearer and more articulate, whereas mine is super dark, bassy, and muffled. Never understood why I couldn't get mine to sound the others.
The Special, with its P-90 pickups and stripped-back vintage vibe, offers raw, punchy tones perfect for rock and blues. Meanwhile, the Studio with humbucker pickups provides the classic Les Paul sound with modern features like weight relief and Push/Pull Volume controls for coil tapping, making it a little bit more versatile. @@chadhagene7665 But why? Is it more comfortable than the special one? My question is more focused on how the body feels, a flat top vs a carved top. Thanks for answer me.
@@elb64x2 honestly, I dont think the top makes any difference playing really. The carved top does look a lot nocet though. My reason was mostly because I prefer humbuckers and the ability to adjust the intonation. For the same price I think the studio just makes more sense. But, I have and do like both guitars.

Sounded pretty damn in tune to me. This was enthralling.
Specials are the most underrated Lesters. Glad to see them get some love. Tasty playing.
For the price, you can’t beat a Les Paul special. Sounds fabulous!
1700eu?
@@jipke7430 it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than some of the other guitars that they showcase. And in my opinion, it sounds better than a lot of them.
I’m wondering if you can. The Epi equivalent is maybe 90% of the experience for 30% of the cost?

El estuche 200 euros y el IVA en España el 21 por ciento se va a 1980 euros,.osea la guitarra vale unos 1500€.
I love these videos. No talking just letting the guitar speak for itself
They hit the gold mine in this reissue….probably the best guitar for the money
Somehow, every time I consider selling mine, I get a reminder from the universe to keep it. 😮
Ditto
Don’t do it you will regret it
No man! I did and ended up buying another one. I learned my lesson
I have one for sale right now… but after listening to this….
@@woolyfuzzy don’t do it. You will regret it.
The 2023 models are a slightly different yellow - a paler yellow that the CS models havehad the last few years and I am really digging it.
Very tasteful and melodic playing here
Excellent tones !! I absolutely love my gibson TV !
I like the clean sound more than distortion
Of course, the LPS works better in clean / crunch, because of the P90
Just got one , I’m loving it
Great guitar and playing
Bought one and wow everything I wanted
Tried one in a shop few days ago.
Damn, cant stop thing about that feel and bitting sound...
really beautiful playing
I'd like to know what pedal he engages at 02:43. What a kick in the ss. Pretty beefy!
Amazing strat-like sounding les paul!
Would help to know what amp he’s using

Must always have at-least one Strat.

Check your pots and the potentiometers

lower the pickup height. Lower the guitar volume. Lower the tone pot setting (you'd be surprised).
Turn the amp way up and turn the neck volume to about 5. Instant sparkle.
Remember this is close mic'd, so will sound much different to the actual sound in the room.

Depends on what music you play. I like p90's but if I could only 1 I would go with the studio.

Every video I hear of this guitar, it sounds like a mosquito when overdriven. Do these pickups ruin the guitar?
Incredible playing, guitar sounds great
Doesn't sound any better than the epiphone version
Omg now I got to get one. The tv yellow special is such a classic.
All time classic❤
