Thank you! We have a small pond and have recently introduced Koi and Goldfish but needed to relocate the resident snapper. I followed your video and this 56 year old woman had her turtle in less than 12 hours
Hey this trap REALLY works. I tried it and caught 20 turtles in a week. Got tired of baiting the trap. Working on snakes now and came up with a great invention to share. Thanks a bunch
This really does work. I built one right after watching this video. Took me less than an hour. Caught 2 large snappers in just a few hours and then a giant snapper the following day. So big I don't know how he fit inside the opening. You will have to have a top on it to keep snapping turtles from just climbing out. Also catching normal slider turtles now. P.s. I used chicken legs as bait
Works. I used a smaller size crate, but still works. Thanks for posting, I too was tired of all the "awesome trap" videos which actually didn't work!!!
Firstly, why do you need to get rid of turtles out of such a huge body of water? What are they hurting? Secondly, what are you doing with them once you catch them??
Hi there, so I LOVE turtles in my pond actually- but too many turtles is a huge problem. They will overpopulate the pond and hurt the balance of the pond's ecosystem by destroying plants and vegetation that other animals (specifically fish) need to thrive as well as eat ALL your frogs and frog eggs and fish and fish eggs. My pond is about 4 acres or so and there are hundreds of turtles in it. It should support half that or less- so I help the ecosystem by catching them and YES releasing them. I'm not hurting any turtles- I usually give them away to people on craigslist or if I catch a ton, I'll drive them about 10 miles away to a huge lake where it would take a whole lot of turtles to cause a problem!!

Awesome! Now you have to watch out for Herons. Can't help you there, they're a protected species!!

This is great! I'm needing something for my turtle overrun in my pond. This may just do the trick! Thanks!
Couldnt you combine theses two metheds?
Do you cut the tops off the dog crate? Can I find a dog crate with a fold out top door?
Same here. If it's above water level so they can get air, it shouldn't matter.
How to bye this?
Works caught 27 in 2 days!!!
Noooo not bacon
That's good looking bacon
Nothing can resist bacon.
