    Hey Daryl, just wanted to say this video on Google campaign structure is awesome! Quick question - when you're organizing your campaigns by category, do you make use of the "Automatically created assets (text assets/final URL)" feature? And if you do, do you set exclusion rules for certain categories?

      Usually I don't use the feature.
      We are running some tests right now that might be showing the feature can actually perform well. But too early to say and tests do not have significant data yet. Until I have fully tested it and have more satisfying data I will continue with my recommendation of not using automatically created assets

    Thank you for the great video. I have a question about search terms. Why are they added as exact and not as a phrase? This gives me a lot of keywords with no search volume because the overall volume in my business area is very low.

      Because adding as phrase is not going to trigger anything that the original phrase isn’t already targeting. If all your terms are getting low search volume and in a small market then you can raise the impression threshold, eg more than 60 impressions instead of 30.

    Great! What do to if pmax spends more then I want on other things than shopping? Is there a way to get rid of video and display from pmax? Super thankful if you answer, thx

      A standard approach for that has been to create a “feed only” campaign. However it seems this option will be going away soon if not already.
      If you make sure your Target ROAS is above break even then usually one of two things will happen.
      The system will do some video and display but it will be profitable/ above target. Usually it’s mostly retargeting.
      Or
      The system won’t do any video or display. If they don’t hit ROAS target, system bids then down to the point where they just stop.

      @@DarylManderbigflare thank you! Our problem is that we still dont have target roas because the campaign is only 30 days old and roas is below our breakeven. It show much of display and video. Also spends all of the budget in the first hours of the day. Dont know if we should set a really really bad target roas or just go on with maximize conv value. Budget is 300$

    For your dupe campaigns, could you give me an example of the title change in the campaigns? Was it for example "orange fragrance oil" then in the dupes campaign changes to "halloween orange fragrance oil".

      An example might be that the original might say “Orange Fragrance Oil” then in the dupe might be something like “Pure Orange Scent Oil”. Not the best example but that’s off the top of my head. The idea is to test new and different keyword ideas in the dupe.

    In a PMAX campaign with all the products and another campaign with the winning products, do you remove this product from the first campaign or leave it running in both?

      If you have a dedicated winners campaign then I think you should have each product in only one campaign, not duplicated.

    What is your take in running both feed only pmax and a full pmax campaign targeting same products? I have great success running a feed only campaign however roas drops whenever i increase the budget even if it is just 10%.

      I'm hesitant towards feed only campaigns right now. End of last year Google released some documentation stating that what they will start doing is, in the case of a feed only campaign, start just grabbing assets from your site and making their own assets.
      I have noticed in some accounts now, since the update from Google last year, that feed only campaigns stopped working and started showing across other networks, presumably because the system is now just making its own assets.
      I see some feed only campaigns still working. If yours is still working then great. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. But I would be monitoring it closely as I believe the change from Google that kills feed only campaigns is on a slow roll out.

    How can I negativize the brand to be able to run a 100% new user campaign, I see that you put it there as non brand.
    Can you explain it? 🙏🏻

      Set up a Brand campaign and put your Brand keywords in there. Set up a non-brand campaign and put your other keywords there. Google already does a good job, under this setup, of making sure all Brand keywords actually go to the Brand campaign, not the non-brand one. But just to be sure, what you can do is take your Brand keywords and also add them as negative keywords to the non-brand campaign for peace of mind.

      Honestly it’s difficult to say without knowing more. But if cash is tight and ROAS must be profitable ASAP then Standard Shopping. If there is less pressure to be profitable ASAP and the goal is more to maximise potential revenue growth then PMax.
