Xylophones and marimbas differ in the types of wood used to produce them, and xylophones usually have thicker and thinner bars. Hence xylophones produce a brittle and "pingy" sound, whereas marimbas produce more mellow tones.
Funny! The marimba player plays Burton grip and the vibes player plays Stevens. Normally it is vice versa... Idependently of this an excellent performance!
Wenn du auc hDeutsch verstehst können wir auch auf Deutsch reden :) Das Video kommt aber aus Deuthschland oder zumindest haben die Videos auf diesem Kanal Deutsche Titel ;)
2 instruments, same heights. 2 humans with very different heights...I think the vibraphone player is suffering greatly (as all tall percussion players do with the default 5 foot 4 setting for mallet instruments. Burton, Stephens, Abe all short.) Great work despite that. !
I usually don't understand music with this kind of tonality. This one I actually get! BRILLIANT!!
You guys are amazing
Well played, well played.
This is what a call great xylophone performance!

I love this but want a CD - where?
What's the title of this piece?
Where do I find it to buy it?
xylophones arent necessarily always smaller, they have a much higher tone though, much more "pingy"
What is the title of this music?
A lesson on Percussion Appreciation - should be taught in college: "Roustam Baimatov3 years ago
This is what a call great xylophone performance!"
IT'S VIBRAPHONE GODAMMIT
No, a xylophone is a other instrument, it a smaller marimba. the proper name for those is called percussion instruments.
Do you not see it says MARIMBA and VIBRAPHONE?? Not xylophone, do you know how to read???????
In German it´s Vibraphon ;)
I thought xylophone was the main name for those instruments. I guess I was wrong:))
Ah, Siebentanz.
Where can I get this?

+Muman321 Agreed, no excuse for the vibes not to be up on blocks! Or get a Yamaha or Adams set - easily edjustable. (Musser not easy)
It's a shame we are conversing in English.
