    1:26:00 JUDGE! The copies created by Storm are not cast; they are created directly on the stack. (The easy way to remember this is that if they were cast, they'd trigger their own Storm ability.)
    Also, later, at 1:38:01 - Crim does have a maximum hand size 2 from Recycle, since it entered later and hand-size-modifying effects apply in timestamp order.

    • @therealax6
      @therealax6 10 місяців тому +33

      @@justinkopy3354 All four cascade triggers go on the stack. Then the topmost trigger resolves, which lets you cast a spell, which itself goes on top of the stack (on top of the three cascade triggers still there). So the first spell resolves before the other three cascade triggers do.

    Honestly one of the best exercises I could do for my deck building skills was to build a mono colored deck for each color. Especially for the colors I don’t enjoy/understand.
    It helps you understand the fundamentals of each color. And helps you build multi-colored decks more efficiently.
    (And it was unfortunately my gateway to the ways of mono-black)

    Great vid. In American English, : A primer (pronounced "primmer") is a schoolbook, and a primer (rhyming with "climber") is the first coat of something, or preparation like the white stuff you roll onto drywall before you put on your real paint, or an explosive cap.

    I know, minor detail, but Giselas effect was played wrong: she prevents halfe the damage dealt to you and your permanents rounded up. So any 1dmg ping just dissipates to nothingness, and eg the indoraptor damage at around 1:20:55 would only be 1, since whats prevented is 3/2 rounded up = 2

    Props to whoever counted up all the damage at the end, that couldn’tve been easy

    Small note: Gisela prevents half of the damage dealt to you, rounded up. So if Gisela's controller would take 3, they instead take 1. And 1 damage becomes 0. It's the damage prevented that gets rounded up, not the damage dealt.

      @0rphio333 Місяць тому

      You are absolutely correct
      @darkusdudemedia However, and it can be easy to forget as a viewer but, these are entertainment personalities and in this style of show only about half of what is likely happening for these folks is actually gameplay. Banter, comedy, and "good show" almost come foremost to correct play and detail oriented attention. Mtg is already a complex game let alone the cameras.
      I'm right there with you, I sometimes find it difficult to go with the flow when I see things in the game that are obvious to me. However at the end of the day I make misplays or rule violations and what puts them in front of a camera is a mixture of gameplay, game knowledge AND charisma.

    Princess' gisela had a couple misplays. Gisela prevents half the damage rounded up, so she takes the lesser damage. She would have taken nothing from the creeping bloodsucker and 1 from the enrage trigger.
