Hose Kit: amzn.to/2sZ7EPk
cheap ass headers: amzn.to/2tiTElV
good headers: amzn.to/2tmsZ8q
Put the damn gasket on bro. And you have enough clearance done.
u bought for 200 $ and u want it to fit like 2000$ headers ? cut the edge and install
200? those headers are like 85 bucks bro
Scratch. I got mine for 60$. And put them upaide down. Pointing up
fabrication comes with working on cars, i agree lol
I've had ebay stainless headers on several vehicles and they usually take a bit of tinkering like bolt hole alignment or belt sanding the flange flatter but once mounted I've had no issues after years of use.
Your comment eases my mind so much about to throw some on a 5th gen Camaro SS it already had a K&N CAI on it when i bought it.... hoping for alteast 440whp
Firstly, there's no reason to pay more than $250 for shorty headers for any car! Secondly, header fitment issues are one of the most common problems known to anyone who's modified a car. Thirdly, there are multiple solutions to ALL automobile-related setbacks! People who piss and bitch about small things like needing to modify aftermarket parts shouldn't try to mod their own cars! #Simple
Why waste time on a product that doesn’t fit when you can just buy one that does? Lol
Wtf does everybody who have a mustang, have to buy the most expensive parts it can by for the car, and call every thing else “junk”, don’t you realize it’s the same shit just branded??
jacob bartlett definitely not the same stuff considering they literally don't fit...
Some sre the same some are different its just the difficulty to installing them
They are the big names mishaps
I purchased a new set of stainless steel headers on eBay for my 88 Chevy Silverado and to be honest they fit and work great, to be honest even expensive headers can be a pain to install trust me I've been installing headers on my vehicles for almost 20 years now. Sometimes you gotta get a little creative and it works out.
heat it and beat it
Is that "wheres waldos" son?
Personally I've been extremely impressed with the headers I got on eBay. They're pacesetter knock offs, but they are built much better, and they came in stainless steel which the pacesetters did not for my application. The flanges were thick and straight.
get long tubes, you wont have that problem. im using long tube ebay headers and they are amazing so far.
Do you have a link? and are they still holding up?
they hold up amazing man, been a few months so far, and it depends what car is it for ?
MonkeyManStan gotta 2014 5.0 gt premium. Didnt wanna waste my time if they didn't fit which is what i was kinda worried about but if they do then i definitely would like to try em out lol.
Which long tube headers would you recommend for a 1998 C5? No cats would be a plus also lol.
sonicmanx20 I’m late but I’m looking at black horse racing headers and they cost 150.... I’m considering getting them
Mine fit great on my silverado 5.3 and i also bought a exhaust system and saved a crap load of money. The throttle response is way better now. Did i gain power and torque ? Probably a little. Gas milage is slightly better and it sounds way better.
Where did you get yours, i need some for my tahoe
So. When they hit or are to far.. there is this thing called heads with angle plugs or not angle plugs. They aren't crappy. They are the wrong ones . And everything is made in China ..
I just received BBK Shorty's for my 331 Stroker and they are Junk too. They are suppose to be 1 5/8" ID with a 2 1/2" Collector. BUT the headers are welded to the flange on the inside. This is ridiculous, due to the internal welds most of the ports are only 1 1/4"- 1 1/2".. So now I will have to weld the outside of the headers to the flange and grind all the junk welds out of the inside. A ton of work and money to spend that I thought I was saving with these $200 Headers.
I bought some. No hugger headers fit becyse they touched the block all the way. So what did i do? Flipped them upside down like those derby cars with th exhaust pointing up. And sent it. Honestly love the look and almost ear raping sound of the engine screaming xD
I have had my stainless eBay BBC headers for 4 years plus and not one issue yet on a 13 to 1 496 . Fitment was perfect . Turbo headers work really well at people on eBay like CX racing make a good product .
I bought these cheap headers. The flange bolts dont line up and mine also hit the block. Cheap crap, but what do you expect for $65
The eBay ones I seen are t304 stainless Gibson and some other name brands use that same material
Just pick up some bbk shorties for cheap. People always selling them from $40-100, my fox sounds great with them
cburford Where? Lol
That's the risk in buying cheap universal parts. Just make sure the return policy is solid in case things don't fit. I'm glad he didn't cut it up and beat it to force it to fit. Not worth it in my opinion if you can just return or swap for the right part.
Absolutely.
This is a normal occurence with any brand or quality headers. Bolt them up and wedge your porta-a-power in there and tweak them. Have to say more so than not I have had to do this to most headers. Or you could be a hack and scratch up and discolor them by beating and heating (not the correct way)
my experience with buying headers on ebay was sort of good and bad the first set i bought they didnt arrive until 4 weeks later so i bought another set that were machined quite well all except a hold that made it impossible to put a bolt through but i took a 1/2" drill bit and drilled it wider and it fit on perfectly. i think the hardware they gave me was a 3/8 bolt when it was suppose to be a 5/16 bolt so i had to tap and die all the holes on the heads to 3/8 to me that made the headers stay on better and the bolts didn't come loose as easily. i still have those other headers that arrive later and the seller on ebay doesn't seem to care to want them back so ebay just refunded me my money after fighting tooth and nail with them lol
long tubes will fix that usually..my DNA 123 dollar Amazon headers work fine and sound great...NOTE..always use Percys gaskets with these headers to make sure you dont have any sealing issues, always.
Just face it forward and add a turbo! Duhhh 🤣
Old saying. . You get what you pay for..
i got a name brand header and i had to cut the 2 center tubs out and fliped them to clear the stearing box
What a shame tonot paint that block while it was apart before getting new freeze plugs!!!!
Bob's burgers dad??
Your right buddy i have to make some adjustments like cut my exhaust pipes on a Chevy 350 engineto make it work
T
why not ..my 65$ Ebay shortys worked and fitted perfekt... but dont think they make any HP ..same like the originals just a bit nicer to look....but for the Mustangs .the way to go are Longtubes ...
Did you think about the gasket? you did not put one on to fit it. Also you could use 2 gaskets.AND OF CORSE A LITTLE GRINDING WON'T HURT ANYTHING
Kent C. Reed maybe put in a vice and stick crowbar at bottom and do some adjustments 👍👍😂
Bend that shit
Your links took me to mustang parts and dog shit. You need to check that out lol
Thanks for sharing your individual experience.
The thick Hooker Headers gaskets should pull that away from the block.
my flowtech headers for my s10 fit pretty well and decently cheap I got them for 200
Man, whatever happened to the V6 drift build? It was like Part 9 and then nothing.
those are still cheaper than hemi headers.
If you're using an aftermarket mid pipe from sve of something, I think it will work with the headers. The socket does not extend all the way over the ball connection on the header. All you need it to do is form a seal. Also, If you haven't done so already, RTV the front and rear oil pan seal. I just did my swap and I didn't put a thin bead over where the rear main is and it's the only spot where the pan leaks. good luck and happy building!
Alan Burkett I went with a one piece on the oil seal and followed felpro's directions. not a drop from anywhere. as for the exhaust BBK's went perfectly with the Mac h pipe. she's getting magnaflows this week. thanks for watching!
Mods are always needed!
I bought a set of stainless shortys just like that about 8 years ago off ebay for $89 I believe I just said what the heck and took a chance on them and they were awesome. They fit like a glove and made great power. Sux you had bad luck out of those..
Jeff May I was thinking about getting some cheap de motor headers for my original 305 what kind & size did you get I'm thinking about the 2.5 inch
Wow, engine is coming out great!! Thanks for the advice..I will go ahead and ignore the cheap asian parts from eBay/Amazon lol
🌽 corn-fed
What kind are they??? Buy bbk or mac
Joe Reain bbk
Can never go wrong with bbk
