PQ - I just wanted to thank you for this video, I requested it in the Sevastapol video comment section, and I can't believe many others wanted to see this! I appreciate it so much - your content has helped me enjoy this game so much more. My son started me with WOWS, and as someone old(er) with no modern video game experience this game has been so much fun. The Bagration was my first premium, and I have a love / hate relationship with it (for many of the reasons you pointed out!). Thanks again for all you do!

ah yes seatle i think it is the worst ship in the American light cruiser bc its weird turret angle just use your free exp go for the Worcester 100% better or just play the Cleveland

For the sake of old man Pyotr Bagratyon - his second name is pronounced not like 'nation' but like Bagrat-e-on, last syllable stressed. The guy was a Russian general in Napoleon war times, comes from Georgian nobles.
That Malta was LARP:ing the post-nerf 13.1 version, refusing to use AP bombers. He would have devstruck you with one run.

The struggle is real trying to rely on fires for damage. Even more so vs American Damage cons. 28 second duration with Damage Con mod, an extra 2-2.8 seconds from ERE. They can basically keep their damage con up for half a minute easily, meaning their damage con basically lasts the same duration as a max reduced duration fire. Also 2500 base damage is normal for 180mm guns. Putting it 300 damage higher than 152mm, 300 damage lower than 203mm.
Gotta say though, Bagration looks like Rochester, but with an ever so slightly faster reload and torpedoes. Think Rochester is just better. Rochester gets better DPM and has a smoke screen, as well as AA that will make a CV think twice if there is a better target.
The AA on Bagration isn't that bad for T8. Total values are not impressive, but almost half of it is in long range. If flak did anything to non-potato CVs, it would have been great. Those turret angles are decidedly not great, though.
Would love to see the Hyuga. Really underrated t7. That reload booster absolutely slaps.
I’d love to see you play the Neustrashimy if you have it/can get it. That think is like a unicorn, I swear only 3 people ever bothered to get it when it was a steel ship, and maybe 3 more people bought it for its ridiculous coal price. Would love to see how you handle the Russian zombie.

I noticed that till the last salvo on the GK, you were aiming at the waterline (habit?), but the last salvo of AP as you switched to HE was mid-hull, doing over 6K. Seems like the guns are right of Tallin, meaning AP can really hit hard, but aim point is critical because they're NOT 203s. I'd like to seen Druid.

It’s a very interesting ship. The guns are pretty terrible but the utility is great if you know how to use it. The smokes are just long enough that you can’t just sit still after they’re set but they’re just short enough that, after you set it and reverse, you pretty much have to go full speed to be moving by the time it expires.

Bit of a weird one, would love to see you cover Cleveland, am working up the US light cruisers at the moment and the Cleverino seems to be where the line comes into it's own.
Can you do a kii video, i rarely see that ship in game, is it because it's bad or something?

The Borodino is a ship I've not heard about in so long, and I'd like to see some of it. A Stalingrad hull at tier 8 with all-fore 406s and a radar sounds like a very interesting combination, and I'd like to see if it's held up.
The Constellation is another one I'd be interested in seeing: also t8, also with a radar, and also not talked about much anymore.
Love your videos man, informative and entertaining. Glad to see a P Bag review, I've gone through a lot of phases but ultimately a Russian cruiser sloot by far. That said I've yet to find a reason to choose Bagration over it's brethren. The heals nice but nothing else about it feels exceptional.

ok, i'll be honest. I watch his videos for the laugh sound. It's basically me when i get into a tier VI game with two CVs.

Yugumo with reload booster. I've been trying this recently and it's pretty fun. I feel like with all the radars/hydros in the game now the smoke doesn't really help anyway. It's only useful when trying to evade CVs imo.

I got this ship in a crate once, and can't really understand what it's supposed to do well. The guns and range are good, but when you think about how many Cruisers start getting over 200mm guns since T6, it seems weird to still see 180s at T8. It doesn't help that you can see similar guns on stuff like the Molotov, which is 2 Tiers lower.
The quirk of it seems to be it has a bunch of Neustrashymy turrets as secondaries, so maybe it was intended to use those?.... But who the hell would spec into that in something with so little armor?
Really can't tell what it was intended for. There are other Premiums at this Tier which either do a better job at surviving (Prinz Eugen), are senakier (Atago), or allow you to have more fun before exploding gloriously (Bayard).
Minekaze, full torpedo/stealth build with Yamamoto, 5.4km Det and 30 sec T/reload, this is lots of fun to play :)

180 mm guns: light cruiser impact, heavy cruiser reload. Kind of a challenge. IFHE is worth trying, although fire chance is quite a penalty.
Play the Mikasa (it’s best as a secondary build)

Can you play the tier 6 pan-asian cruiser Rahmat? For me playing this was such a struggle, that it was fun again. For me it just felt like I needed to outplay every enemy ship.
It's not very good. Tha PA line gets better as you go up, but the only really strong ships are the T9 and T10.
Even then you need to know what you're doing and they're not good in every situation. I wouldn't call them new player friendly or well rounded ships.

I use this ship in Operations - it works pretty good there and the AP shows well.

I know it's a CV, but I find her quite interesting to play. Her squadrons are really really strong but it's also extremely easy to get deplaned in her. She is one of the least brain dead CV out there imho.

Got this ship in free xmas crates, it's decent for operations because of heal. Still I think Tallinn is the king of operations.
No way, Mainz and Baltimore way better.
@@EvoraGT430 Balti is solid but Tallinn is my most consistent carry boat for operations regularly hitting 2k+ base exp. No one denies Mainz is great but it's a premium so not achievable for everyone.

I have always struggled with this ship. On paper this is a good ship, amazing AP with improved angles, but I just can’t make it work. Always low damage and impact, never feel like I contribute other than farming damage.
PQ over here with that 100%, 15% fire chance.....5 fires in like 7 salvos...
Tallin is a much better option at tier 8 with hydro and 12km radar. Same great guns cause major damage to any broadside even BB's

I like kutuzov better. Bagration has better AA guns. So it is really useful if you are teamed with a carrier.
And it is pronounce bag-ra-tion. Famous field commander during the napoleanic era. Would die at the battle of borodino holding the readouts that held the russian central guns. His forces held the central line so long it forced Napoleon in the battle to throw his best troops to take the artillery guns.
