- We visited Baloy’s Bakeshop in Cavite to try their famous bread that is best known for its fluffy texture and creamy taste. Anthony Baloy proudly tells his story about how he first started Baloy’s Bakeshop from scratch and how his ensaymada compares to the original “Ensaimada de Mallorca.”

Having watched most of the food documentaries from Featr and Tikim TV, I've noticed a common denominator for a business to flourish: the tight-knit bonds and collective desire of the family to work together in one business and help others in the process. God is teaching us the value of family, servitude, and generosity.
This made me cry and crave the ensaymada at the same time.very inspiring story.

That pastry truly is as soft and authentic as his heart is, embodying the traditional ensaimada we all grew up eating. And the Filipino faith that has reigned in our hearts ever since.

Oh, I want to go to Cavite and visit the shop. Malolos used to be famous with ensaimayda but the best one who makes it the Barasoian Bakeshop across Barasoian Church has since closed shop. For me nothing comes close to iit. It was decadent, Sweet and savory. Topped with itlog na maalat.
