Why was Veronica's dish considered disastrous? The judges didn't fault it at all
It wasn't. They kept it in there for both a comparison of what a really good one looks like, and for the sake of not breaking up the pacing.
Not once did they refer to her dish disastrous.
Maybe it's just me but I feel that Claudio's last comment to Sean was unprofessional and uncalled for. Sean will never live down what he did in the team challenge but at least he got the last laugh since his food truck is still active to this day while Claudio has been closing restaurant after restaurant over the years.
I imagine in theory, a high end restaurant is a much riskier and more difficult operation to maintain than a food truck

@@doesntmatter964 Possibly, any good businessman will try to gather income from various sources. If Claudio can continue MasterChef while building up restaurants, then who is to stop him?

because Mary is really good at cooking(Won the season) and competition to Jennifer
If I recall correct Jennifer's only standout dish was the one previous this challenge, but that was while she was paired with Terry (and she said that she gave full control to him and that she would just be helping him achieve the vision he had for the tag-team dish). Aside from her audition dish, I don't think she actually produced any significant solo performances throughout her time on the competition. Not hating, just stating what I remember.
Oh yeah I do recall that during the Pumpkin challenge, Jennifer and Mary had the same dish concept (pumpkin gnocci) but Mary was able to pull off a dish with good reception from the judges whereas Jennifer's dish received bad criticism. Perhaps any negative sentiment is leftover from that challenge?
