Microsoft's Windows 11 is coming soon. Some say it’s just a “glorified theme pack”. Is this really true? And what's the big deal about TPM and Secure Boot? Are there any features worth upgrading for? Is it just a theme redesign or some changes are dramatic? What about clipboard history, adding a new desktop, private messages to family members - are there any major improvements here to the feature side? Find out now!
I'll also show you how you can install Windows 11 even though you have a red mark for TPM or Secure Boot. Many computers have these deactivated but you can activate these yourself in the bios. I'll show you how.

To your question I would love to use Teams as unique conversation tool for business and privat as well instead to continue to use additional apps like What’s up. As more apps you have as more duplicate data you have and that is not efficient. Schöne Grüße nach Wien aus Bozen.

(Sigh) and couldn't be further from the truth.
Nothing about Windows 11 would suggest it is similar to Mac OS.
There is no dock at the bottom
There is no panel at the top.
There is no vertical lining up AND behaving Stacks folder
And, the windows file explorer is nothing like what is found in Mac OS.

Great rundown. Best I've seen so far.
I hope there's a performance boost, especially for 32-bit apps (I'm looking at you, Office).
I am not happy that grouping pinned items has been removed. I use it extensively, especially since so many programs now install into the grand list portion of the start bar and not into a folder (I'm looking at you, Adobe and Microsoft). That side bar becomes a complete mess, and I don't think the Apple / Win 11 pinning on the Task bar is efficient once you have a few programs.
I agree with the suggestion that virtual desktops should allow rearranging desktop shortcuts and potentially start bar pinning (especially considering my previous statement).
Hopefully between the items you note that could be better and the users "suggestions", they will actually listen and make the changes.

amazing video!! I will ask you about the performance, what about RAM usage for Windows 11? and I am sure you will need an SSD too. It looks cool, fancy, but after using Windows 10 for almost 2 years I've got annoyed a lot with the automatic updates (the last one really annoyed me a lot and so I stopped them at all). It seems that they always wanna force you to update to the last hardware by destroying the old one you have (not that old really) with heavier updates, more resource consumption. I will give it a try if it's different to this, we need stability, control over almost all the OS features like controlling the updates with no need to enter several lines in the CMD, is not good at all when you are turning on your pc for work and it's updating and when it's on the explorer.exe doesn't work! great job :D

My first impression was Windows 11 was trying to emulate Chrome OS. Thank you for the full review. I will probably end up upgrading.

Your videos as always perfect. Yes I will upgrade, but if serious for me Windows upgrades just like change closes, nothin else. New look. I am using computer every day all my free time, watching movies, watching youtube, editing videos, uploading pictures from my camera or phone, reading docs, working little bit with Excel, learning to code. And for these tasks I Can NOT see any differences. It is windows 7, 10 or 11. Just new skin 😁😁😁

You have done an excellent job of presenting the new Win11. However you could have added 2 more very important points for potential upgrades:
    1. How efficiently is the battery managed? Is there more power savings?
    2. How is the response time to commands - an improvement or the same?

yeah i don't know seem like trash to me lol. the only thing it had going for it was the side loading of android apps which i can already do with third party apps. it seems windows 11 is a bust.

"Never combine taskbar icons" is the FIRST setting I do on a fresh Windows install. I cannot understand why someone wants to hover an icon with a mouse, wait, move the mouse, then click instead of just click.

Same here! Only people who do not know how great the task bar has been before use this annoying grouped icons and waste time with waiting to see fancy animations... There are actually many settings I have to set for a convenient workflow with Windows 10. E.g. "expand to open folder" in the File Explorer tree, showing file extensions, and many more... They will never convert Mac addicts with it, so why don't they focus on people who value working with Windows?!

Excellent overview, Leila! As a cyber security professional one thing that has always made me mad was how little use Windows made of features like TPM (you practically needed third party software to use it). There was also considerable political pressure on Microsoft not to use TPM (but that's a whole other story). I am very glad to see those improvements with Win 11 and will push for early adoption.

The BIGGEST security feature of Windows in any version, or any operating system, is the user. They are the ones that allow or not items that can be "dangerous" like viruses, malware, etc. into their system. If they are not conscious of what they do, do not blame the operating system when it was the user that allowed it to happen. If you do not keep your system up to date, virus definitions, etc. then you have no one but yourself to blame it something happens.

@@ackman3981 I agree. It's like blaming your car when you get fined for speeding. It's not the car's responsibility to make sure you drive within the speed limit. it's the driver's responsibility.
