I would say the fact that we are expected to participate in other peoples delusions is a bigger indicator of the fall of Western society, but you're not wrong.
I wish Windows 11 had an option when hiding the taskbar to get rid of the white line it leaves at the bottom of the screen. It's like a toddler hiding behind the curtains only for their feet to be sticking out at the bottom. It would also be good to get rid of static images if you are using a new OLED monitor or an OLED TV as a media PC.
I just switched today from Windows 10 to Windows 11. My motherboard ASUS ROG Maximus XII HERO (Wi-Fi) after upgrading BIOS to firmware 2701. I love the context -menu every time I do a right click, specially when Copying / Moving / Pasting / Renaming file. Very handy. I also love the dark themes for the whole Windows GUI. It is relaxing to my eyes.
Wow! So helpful as I've just bought a brand new PC with windows 11, I never thought I would be glad to go from 7 to 11 but now I'm really happy I've done it. can't thank you enough. Just subscribed...
Thank you so much. Just got a new laptop and I have been super struggling as Microsoft wants to dominate . I can’t get projects done without it popping up .
Just found my own one while watching the Snipping tool if you go to text options has the ability to collect all text form a screenshot and copy it, very useful.
Glad you asked, because I also wondered about it! 😎✌️ (Emoji for TGNO! 😉 [Yes, a possible symptom of a decline in civilization. 🐒 Unless it's a step towards universal understanding...? 🤔 🖖🤷])
Loved the video .I have a question about the backgrounds used in you video. Where can a newbie find such nice backgrounds. next question , how can i make the taskbar smaller ?
I was NOT going to accept Win 11's removal of toolbars from a top screen taskbar that I've had since the turn of the century. Through the use of a third-party utility, I was able to keep a Quick Launch toolbar that uses submenus for Graphics, Development, Productivity, etc. (over 100 apps), and a Favorites toolbar of over 50 websites that does not depend on importing bookmarks if I change my default browser.
Thanks for the tips and tricks, TG. I really like the improved start menu in Windows 11, it's more compact without those annoying live tiles. And I also like the improved settings app. However, I can't stand the right-click menu and I prefer the old snipping tool to the new one.
hello and thank you in advance if you can help me. I would like to know how i can save a computer setup so when i log in all the programs i need are saved automatically loaded on the screen/s. What i mean is when my computer at work it is restarted and i have to open 8-12 different program windows to do my work. I would like to know how to save it so when i log in all those program windows are already open and all i need to so is to sign in. Thank you if you can help me out 😀
Thanks ! Nice tips picked a couple up i didnt know ... i like to not use my mouse at all anymore , altho i cant seem t ofind the keyboard shortcut to right click in the empty space in the taskbar.
Also I was just curious why I am not able to easily download apps onto to my laptops desktop…..?? It just disappears??? It is also a challenge as I’ve been used to using my Apple phone and iPad . Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I did the snipping tool it opened up I used it but when I let go of the cross nothing happens it doesn't give me an option to save nor can I find thepicture i've copied in any file.
For me, the screenshot goes into the notifications section. Windows key + N opens that. It also saves it into a file, under Pictures, called Screenshots. If you want to mark up the screenshot, click on the result in the Notifcations panel and it'll open so you can make your changes, then click on the save button and save it where you want.
Gadwin has a nice simple free program that is way better than snipping tool. Push the PrtSrn key, or any key you designate and the whole screen is captured and saved to a folder you designate. You can configure some other choices also.
I want to rid my widgets view from displaying the annoying news feeds. Namely the area that displays "Discover Following Watch Play". I can't find a way to do it. In your example you only show the widgets. That's exactly what I want too.
One thing I'm always bemused by. Microsoft is heavily used in the corporate world. Yet their screenshot utility has no way of drawing a straight arrow for example. Instead you have to draw something that looks like you are still in kindergarten or something. Very odd
Not possible in File Explorer. Try using Total Commander, you have a left and right panel, source / destination. I’ve been using Total Commander for more than 20 years. It’s great.

@@extremelydave yes I have everything else. tpm 2.0, secure boot, 16gig ram. etc. it's just the CPU that is not supported. People who make it work, do it in a non legit way. I'd rather have my CPU be supported at some point. I really don't see why it is not. Since worse i7 cpus already are supported. It's a powerful CPU still, there really is no reason for it to not be supported.

The fact that when windows 11 first came out it took like 10 separate changes to fully change your default browser was criminal
I trusted you with my Window 10, I'll watch your great info on my new window 11!
Your suggestions are invaluable!

nice video! question: what's the app you guys use to highlight the mouse on the video? thanks!
It's called "Mouse pointer highlight". It's available for free on the Microsoft Store.

Disabled Edge as default browser, but get asked anytime I use it - do I want to make it the default? Any way to get rid of that?
edge is the best browser tho

I shifted to Linux a few years ago and completely love it, however The eye-candy in Win 11 are beautiful (and I'm not just talking wallpaper)
Use the built in Windoze virtual machines and load in Linux and have the best of both worlds!

Edge is possibly the best browser right now, by the way.
"Best" and only had 8% market share and now thanks to the new law, you will be able to un-install Edge completely
