  • In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1999 Infiniti Q45t. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I bought this exact identical car back in 2007 used with 99,000 miles on it for $7500. It was an absolute pleasure to drive. Like a sofa on wheels. I kept it for about 3 years. Never a problem with it at all. Just regular oil changes. Very smooth running and lots of compliments back then. I miss that car a lot. That was back when Nissan/Infiniti vehicles were a true Japanese company! Now they are owned partly by Renault.

I have the exact same car current day. I, as well, purchased mine in 2007, with 76,000 miles. Current mileage, 288,000 miles. The only major repairs throughout ownership are alternator, radiator, front/ back struts, and high-pressure power steering hose. Cosmetically, the exterior looks 80% of new. The interior is only aged by worn front seats.

I have a 2001 with the two suspensions fantastic handling been all over the country with it.engine is the best v8 i have ever had and the transmission is perfectly matched for this motor.24 in the highway and 16 around town .everything is built to last no problems .You cannot beat this car for the money look for a well cared for garaged used one and you will take it a half a million miles

Looks like a beautiful car. These were the good years with good build quality before they all started to go downhill. But I would love to pick one of the Cadillac's in the background. Cadillac styling is unmistakable and timeless luxury cars.

Very nice tour...Infiniti's V8 sounds very refined. Although I normally prefer sound of I-6, V-6 or V-12, I would love to hear how it sounds under WOT acceleration. Too bad you can't take the cars for a test drive.

That vintage of Q45 was one of my favorites!!
My uncle had a 1998 Q45t from November of 1997-2000 and he would always let me drive it when I would visit him. He traded it for a 2001 Mercedes-Benz E430 and has since replaced said Benz with S-Classes which were about the size of this.
The current generation Toyota Camry looks like a shrunken version of this! which makes me consider it...though the Avalon is good too!

I have a 97 Q45 base, The body styling is gorgeous and it gets looks every once in a while. My only dislikes are fake wood panels, the boring console and gauge cluster. Mine gets around 23 combined gas milage. I don't drive it too often as it has only 58,000 miles. Just need to fix the ABS issue (lol the light is on in this video too) and get the alignment done as it starts wobbling after 50mph.

I think this may just be my next car, assuming that I find one in mint condition and with low miles. My other top choice would be a W140 Mercedes-Benz, preferably an S320, and I'd consider some other luxury cars like the 1990-2000 Lexus LS400, 1988-1994 BMW 740i/il, and 2004 and older Acura 3.5RL but this Q45 is one of the most dependable and unique of them all. All I need to do is test drive 'em all but I'm really leaning towards this!

That’s for the HID headlamps. It adjusts the beam height- sort of “auto adjustable” for back in the day. Pretty common for Infiniti to put this on the cars w HID lamps until the computer that controlled the height came out.

Remember Consumer Guide said this was a competent but not exceptional car. Just remember the first ones from 90 to like 94 were awesome, definitely one up on the Lexus LS. For some reason I guess Infiniti decided to make it more dull like the LS which was a mistake and I guess killed it. Bring the Q45 back as a more updated version like it was in 90 and they'll have a winner!

I think a 2000+ Avalon XLS has it beat with better (much better JBL ) sound and dual climate controls getting 30 MPG / HWY. 215 HP V6 - but lighter car and info display in dash. But a 99 Lexus GS-400 - blows them both away if you are looking in this current price range with REAL wood BTW and ' tip-tronic' shifters on steering wheel and 300 BHP !
