Emerald Isle, North Carolina Shelling | Great shelling in southern Outer Banks!

- Shelling in North Carolina's Emerald Isle was so much fun! Located in the southernmost part of the outer banks, Emerald Isle is quiet, laid back and absolutely beautiful. We did a lot of shelling, but also explored some quaint neighboring towns and learned about the deep history of the area.

We used to go to Emerald Isle every year in the 80's and 90's. The first time I ever stepped foot on that beautiful island it was in the 70's and I was only 9 years old. I fell in love right then and there. As I got older and started planning the yearly trips for family and friends we always stayed at Gallagher or next door at Four Shore both ocean front. I have so many beautiful memories and shells from those years!! It is forever etched on my brain. One of the most beautiful places I've been!❤❤❤😭🐬🐬🐬
Your comment gives me the chills! We loved Emerald Isle so much - we think this might be a retirement location for us! Of all the places that we went to on our RV travels, this was our favorite. I am so excited to go back again. I'm not sure when that will be, but I think this special place will be in our future! ❤️🐚😊
This beautiful beach is near and dear to my heart...many lovely memories and the large majority of my shell collection came from here
Lucky you! I am hoping to go back there very soon!❤️🐚
Always awesome what can be found on the outer banks!
So true! 😊
i loved that you continued to label the shells you found. The repetition was exactly what I needed as a beginner. Just from watching one of your videos I've learned 5 new kinds of shells
Oh thanks - that is great! I'm glad it helped because it does make for more editing work! Thanks for watching 😊
Thank you for taking us along on your shelling adventure! Fun day!
Thanks for coming along! 😊🐚
Excellent I’ve been there years ago beautiful place
One of our favorite places for sure! Thanks for watching😊
So lovely to explore new beaches and places with you. Much thanks. Rachelle, Oz
My pleasure! Glad that you can come along!😊
That black welk is amazing.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I do love that whelk! ❤️
That was fun! Thank you for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊🐚
Really enjoyed this video. Never been to any OB beaches but I would love to go to Emerald. I have seen a lot of metal detecting videos done there. Love the Lions paw and those precious babies ears. The cockles are a lot like Edisto. Huge variety of colors. The fort was interesting also. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching! I did metal detect one day by the pier and literally found nothing! Ha! Someone must have been there right before me😜
Is this visit in September of 2022?
No, it was actually spring 2022. March I believe!
Are you nervous or freezing??
I'm not sure what you are referring to, but my guess is that you noticed (or I commented) on my hands shaking😊 I have tremors. I plan on doing a video soon about them since I get a lot of comments and questions 😊 Thanks for watching!
Why would she be nervous? She's obviously a pro at making these videos!
@@ng3069 Aw, thank you 😊
Emerald Isle has never been part of the true OBX.
I didn't think so either but we met some locals who told us differently 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ It's obviously quite a bit farther south than the rest of the OBX.
