I watched a minute of this video . I saw your basket of scrap fabric and was inspired to make myself my own basket of beginning scraps. Getting excited for my sewing journey
Nice video, thanks. I prefer the method of doing the wraps in the oven then the wax is contained on the tray. When you remove a wrap from the tray you can add more pieces of material in a single layer and add more wax as needed.
Hello. I love the way you teach. Is there any chance you could teach a baby / toddler dress or even wardrobe series. I’m in Uk and would love to see for my granddaughters.
I’m not sure if that’s accurate but I can imagine that the beeswax would sink into the whole fabric when you melt it so even tho you only apply it on one side the other side also has bees wax on it (?)
Hi. Did I miss you say that it's best to prewash the fabric? Making some today.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Where did you get your scalloped shears? Spotlight, Lincraft, or online?
Not a silly question! I work in a fabric shop so know what a fabric is just from feeling it a lot of the time, plus I only buy natural (eg cotton) fabric anyway 😊

Maybe one day when I have my own kids, but not at this stage sorry!
I’ve never thought about using an iron! That’s genius!!❤️❤️❤️
Love this video! My friend and I made these wraps for our school market day! ❤️
I have leftover beeswax pellets from making chapstick. I'm excited that I can use them for this too!
What an easy tutorial! I'm thinking these will make a great teachers gift for my kids teachers
Oh I’m totally making these as Christmas gifts
Thank you for explaining how to use and care for them. I watched another diy and there was no explanation lol
Just found you today 😊
Glad you found my video helpful! Thanks for your lovely comment 💕
Love beeswax wraps! Did you have to put the wax on both sides or does it sort of melt through the cotton? Xx
It kind of melts through 😊
Didn't know it was this easy! Thank you!!
Love this channel. I have beeswax on my bench ready to go, though it seems I now need to find johoba oil and pine resin 😮
Thanks so much! All the best with your beeswax wraps 😊
Can do it with just the beez wax? What's the jojoba and pine do?
You don't have to use pine resin, you can just use beeswax
@@alizaday I prefer ones with the resin. They stick much better
@@silverbracelet6 The pine resin, help it to stick better and the jojoba oil is a natural antibacterial to help keep food fresh,
I love this! Awesome. Thank-you!
This is a great tutorials, if you want to see the history behind this tho of cover there was a midieval tutorial by modern history TV here on YT too.
Grazie. Ci provo 👍
Love your hair!!
Great idea! ❤️
Thank you so much for this! I am definitely doing this with my girl guides :)
Oh yay! No worries, have fun with it 😊
I’ve been making them for a while too.. sweet video
Thank you 💕
do you only apply the beeswax to one side? if so, which side is best to cover the food?
I’m not sure if that’s accurate but I can imagine that the beeswax would sink into the whole fabric when you melt it so even tho you only apply it on one side the other side also has bees wax on it (?)
Can I use white beeswax for fabric wrap like that ?
Bom dia, vc pode ver a possibilidade pra tradução, sou do Rio de Janeiro?
Hi. Did I miss you say that it's best to prewash the fabric? Making some today.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Where did you get your scalloped shears? Spotlight, Lincraft, or online?
Yes wash the fabric first, and I got the scalloped pinking sheers from Spotlight 😊
Noticed some add jojoba oil and pine resins! Are these two ingredients necessary?
I think they are necessary! The bees wax I used had those elements pre-mixed in 😊
This might be a silly question, but how do you remember which fabric scraps are 100% cotton?
Not a silly question! I work in a fabric shop so know what a fabric is just from feeling it a lot of the time, plus I only buy natural (eg cotton) fabric anyway 😊
@@RoseryApparel You can crumble the fabric in your hand. if it wrinkles its cotton
Hi, does the wrap clink onto the item or do you actually need a rubberband to tighten it?
The heat of your hands slightly warms the wax and makes it cling on 😊
Would it be even better to sew the edges of the fabric or do they not fray once the wax is on?
They don’t fray at all especially if you use the pinking shears 😊
What type of fabric I should use?
100% cotton 😊
Next project 🙂
Baking paper? Is this parchment or wax paper?
Yes it is. It’s called baking paper in Australia 😊
jonespilates it’s parchment! Wax paper will melt :)
رائع
You make it sound easy, but I just have zero confidence I could pull this off. 😂
It has potential to be pretty messy, but apart from that I don’t think you can go wrong with this project! 😊
👌👌👏
