@@pilonji. The literal meaning is correct, but "fateful" usually is relating to like a bad outcome. Basically "fateful" has a negative connotation in English.

This band knows how to play down to earth music, no stupid synthesizers, sound effects!!! All the great bands in the 1965-66 era were all garage bands! I'd be out in the evening on my skateboard or sting ray bicycle and suddenly from 2-3 blocks away a band would start practicing, yeah several different ones and it was sheer beauty as the garage door was up/open and a rock show several times a week!!! Then the stupid Vietnam war started and all of these bands vanished as the guys were drafted and sent over there to war. All of the incredible music died except for A M radio!!! Another fantastic single. Catchy, witty, joyous, and so many musical details to discover. The abbreviated second pre-chorus, the bass mirroring the guitar lick in the second verse, the exclamatory backings in the second bridge that lock into the chord the third time around.. Hope you'll release some more tracks before July!
Tom van Nuenen - nice ear - respect. These kids put such attention to detail in all their incredibly well written pop/rock songs - It's kinda next level. Their debut was record of the year
The second prechorus wasn’t abbreviated-the first was elongated!
