Yes women should look up to women like this. As you said, sweet, humble, gorgeous even after having 2 kids. The reason why women don't look up to women like her is because this culture have conditioned women to believe that that being angry, combative, fat, and selfish is "empowerment" and that a man should feel lucky just to be with any woman regardless of how little she brings to the table. Of course fortunately not every woman buys into the feminism poison and those women are the happy, beautiful ones with a good marriage and children. I loved the entire opening ceremony. It was just wonderful! I'm the living proof of the diversity that there is here. I have German roots, as well as Italian, Portuguese and native brazilian roots. I'm very proud to be Brazilian!

I am not up to date on any of these models and just saw her model for the first time. I first thought she seemed very unhappy and wish she smiled more because she's such a beautiful woman. After hearing her talk in this video, it was a big WOW! She seems so down to earth and unlike many snobby models that I've seen in the past. Just an all around great personality.

There is no such thing as a Brazilian if you look at that way. Unless if you are (Native American or Indigenous)!! Tom Brady is probably not American (born in the US) either if you want to look at his ethnicity. Get it? Brazil was colonised just like the US, but we don't have Hollywood to promote our Immigration to the world and I don't see anyone questioning American models and saying that they are Swedish, British and so on. Gisele, is 100% Brazilian and she will tell you this, but it is correct to say that she has a German background, as do so many other Brazilians. Italians, Spanish, Japanese, Germans, Arabs and Africans are just a few of the largest number of immigrants in the world to come and settle in Brazil during the last few centuries and since the 1500s. If you know only the history of the US, the boats that left Europe they went to The Americas and that includes Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay. Gisele, is from a 6th generation of German immigrants that came to Brazil. In addition, she doesn't speak German at all. Sorry, for all the info, but you can google immigration to Brazil to learn more and understand your affirmation better! Is Lebron James from the US or is he African? Danny Guimaraes , thanks for being so spot on on your description about Brazil and the ethnic melting pot it is. It never ceases to amaze how people have misconceptions about Brazil and have a hard time figuring out that Brazil, just like the US, was colonized by Europeans, Africans and so on. My husband is Brazilian with a German background like Gisele, he doesn't speak German at all but looks like a German and has a German last name because of his German ancestry which is very common especially in the south of Brazil (my husband is from the same state where Gisele was born). The same goes to Brazilians who have Italian, Portuguese, Spanish. - among others - background. Like you said, there's no such a thing as a "Brazilian German" or "Brazilian Italian". What does exist in Brazil is European ancestry.
You are right. However, Brazilian is not a race, but I know what you probably mean. Brazil, like most colonized South American territories, was colonized and till this day is dominated by Europeans, or those with a lighter hue. The average Brazilian does NOT look like Gisele or have her German background. @Danny Guimaraes and @Lou Africans did not colonize Brazil like Europeans. Stop revising history. They were a stolen people that cultivated the soil and populated with the colonies. Brazil has the most people of African decent outside of Africa, that includes beating out the United States of America. And it's impact on the Brazilian culture is visibly and audibly evident, but ignored nationally and abroad. Gisele is the face that the Brazilian government wants to promote. It's appropriation. The music, dance, foods, exotic colors, etc. were influenced by the Africans brought there. The natives didn't dance, sing, or dress like that, and especially not Europeans. Germans, Swedish, and British people are like night and day to the people of Brazil. The fashion want the exotic colorful culture but not the exotic colorful skin; so, Gisele is perfect! It's not her fault; she's just a benefactor of the state institutionalized bigotry.

Imagine, if the average was like that? lol Brazil is bigger than the US without taking in considaration Alaska. If you go south you will see more of the German, polish, Italian immigration. If you go up north, you will see more of the African immigration, but in all states you will see all the mixtures of immigration that happened in Brazil. There's a lot of Brazilian in my school and almost all of them are cocky that there country is the greatest of them all and I hate it cuz it's not true. I debate saying it's a 3rd world country and government is controlled by the drug cartel and etc but they just deny it all.
Also they take too long in the bathroom like sometimes hours and these are Brazilian guys I'm talking about because they care so much about clothes and fashion it's just gay.
