Jason O'Daniel I have already acknowledged in my previous comment that Gisele doesn't have to worry about certain things that countless others do such as whether or not they can afford to pay the bills or feed their children, but that doesn't make her struggles with her mental health invalid. It is also true that variables such as having a poor SES can affect an individuals mental wellbeing and that those with lower SES are at higher risk of having suicidal ideation. These facts I won't dare contest. I agree that it would be nice to see stories featured on news outlets of other individuals, not only celebrities, speaking out about their struggles with mental health. It will help bring more awareness to the general public and hopefully decrease the amount of stigma. So there are points we agree on. However, Gisele shouldn't be retrained from sharing her experiences as well. She's not profiting from this book, all proceeds will be donated. I won't spend more time and effort discussing this matter with you. Especially since you have decided to resort to Ad Hominem statements. Attacking my character without having any insights of myself as an individual. You are also making such statements toward Gisele, referring to herself as an airhead, whore etc which does nothing to improve your stance.

Her practice of Transcendental Meditation has been a key for her. Me Too...and Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos also practice TM. It is a life saver...and a joy to practice twice a day.
Silly comment. There are hundreds of scientific studies published in the finest journals which have shown that TM improves health, strengthens the immune system, and improves brain functioning. People who practice TM reduce drug and alcohol use, and stop smoking. TM is now being taught in schools in more than 60 countries around the world. Grade point averages go up, problems and suspensions go down. Graduation rates sky rocket. There are far more doctors and educators promoting TM than celebrities. Why? Because of the proven benefits. Better to know what you are talking about before posting such nonsense.
The best, most sincere and committed Christians, Jews, Buddhists and Muslims I've ever met practice Transcendental Meditation. Why is that? Because by getting deep rest twice a day, and releasing the stresses, they can pursue spiritual growth effortlessly, spontaneously and naturally. And the tendency to get caught up in perpetual fear and hate are released as well. It's a big world, with lots of different cultures and ideas...be kind, be generous, and don't be afraid of all things unique and different than you.
After the birth of my first child I had panic attack, could not go in elevators and the NYC subway was a struggle for me, even cars. It's awful, you can't control it. The wold seams so normal and you feel like you're going to die inside. Awful, awful feeling.
I think it's so important for someone like Gisele to talk about mental health because I'm sure a lot of people look at her and say.....well she's rich and gorgeous so what kind of problems could she possibly have? But looks can be very deceiving. I can't help but love her. She's such a beautiful person inside and out and she's extremely down to earth and really cares about people. Money is great to have. I mean we all need it. That's no lie. People who are homeless and living on the streets without medicine. People who are sick and need medication but can't afford health insurance. People who don't have the right health insurance to get the right treatments. So don't ever let anyone tell you money can't buy happiness because it certainly can. Shes very fortunate that she has the money to keep her mental healh in a stable position. But we need our health.... physical and mental to live a wonderful live. I deal with this a lot. I have a severe pain condition throughout my head and body but since I look normal people don't treat me the way I need them to, with understanding. I think we all need to be a little more understanding with each other. This world is lacking empathy and compassion and we need more of it quickly. Thanks Gisele.
This is the third time she cried while she talked about her suicide attempt in balcony. Also she cried when she revealead this episode to one of Brazilian media. So glad that she spread widely her story, I do understand her so well, I almost did the same thing in the past with poison, now I know this is so wrong. Brave Gisele, she shows to the entire world, that even beautiful woman like her , sometimes feel so lonely and powerless. I love her so much , make all of us Brazilians so proudy. and I am so glad that she did not accept drugs to relief her fears and instead she made amazing changes in her life, I will avoid sugary foods again, and follow her advices . Bye bye chocolates . But I can not dare to cut coffee .
The comment section is full of comments about how she was always in a postion of privilege and wealth so what rock bottom is she talking about right? But the way l see it people have different struggles. For someone whose income and livelyhood is based on their looks, l cant help but imagine the constant fear of growing old, of being devaluated with each passing year. And i don't think that her having her first attack high up on a plane is a coincidence. Look at the metaphor. As high and as fast as a plane is, it has to come down, and come to a stop. The ride is fleeting. Just like a career in the fashion and acting industry. Or even in the media where they love to build you up and tear you down just as fast. It's a confining position. Like being in a golden cage of narcissim. The money is good but the adulation and fame fading must be hard.
You know there's a way you can disagree with people without hurling out insults or calling names ? I don't know you so l can only speak for myself here, but you can air your views in a civilised manner. Either that or you're just acting out on the internet. Whichever way hope you're doing ok. Life can be tough sometimes.
Not everyone is from America. Check variations on spellings on google. Whilst you're at it get some more knowledge. Maybe read a book or two. Travel. Converse politely with people. A little self-help goes a long way. Bye now and take care.
She's so beautiful. I know a lot of people are like "I don't get it...she's not that unique looking, her nose is big, etc" but for me what's beautiful about her, if it makes sense, is that she looks very "fresh" and youthful. Like there's something that radiates from within that comes off as healthy.
She shines. Definitely. And even though her nose is a little big I think she's gorgeous. She has a beautiful soul and a passion for life and that is very attractive.
I can relate. some of us are worriers..some feel undeserving of success...some worry about death and have we lived the life we should be living. I get it.. and we share the same birth month a day apart lol. I understand it perfectly. the loving nature children life. i get it. And good for her. she was able to get out of her head and change her life...the natural way. reconnecting to who we really are is very important. I stopped doing things that didn't make me happy when I turned 30
OMG there are so many disrespecful people in the comments, can't you just show empathy? Everybody just sees the outside part of other people's lives, we never know what the other is going through. The world needs nicer human beings, share love not hate.
Great comment. When people don't feel strong or happy inside, then everything outside becomes negative. The world is as we are. Check out the David Lynch Foundation website to see how life can be transformed in the direction of happiness, health and positivity.
I couldn't agree more. This world is lacking a great deal of compassion for our fellow human beings. We all need to be more understanding and be able to put ourselves in other people's shoes. I wish people did that for me when I needed them to. I had to take the toxic people out of my life.
Cannot love her more! Everyone is asking me why I am so much in love with her?!? Just look at her, she is so natural, strong and beautiful inside and out! Could not have a better role-model ❤️🙏🏻🍀
We all struggle differently, it doesn’t matter she has so much money and is so beautiful can she still have anxiety and in the moment when she’s feeling so helpless her beauty does not matter or her money. Give her a break she did not take the money from any of us, or the modeling career or the NFL husband.
She is a very articulate woman I always thought she was stuck up and an airhead but she is open and smart and insightful and a nice person. We always think that ppl like her just have it all together but I guess they are just like us in the end. Proud of her that she was able to pick herself up and do stuff to help herself out of her panic attacks.
I had no idea Gisele Bundchen had any problems at all. Looking forward to reading her book! Good for her, helping others to inspire them that they too can overcome ANYTHING. I need help now and need to change. Love this young woman, as she is helping so many just by sharing her story with us all! Me included.
I can relate to this so well, to the panic attacks, elevators, flying, and closed in spaces, I can relate to all of this, all of this so well, wow i have something, in common with the Queen of soul, and one of the biggest beautiful est supermodels, ever, fears phobia's and panic attacks, I would have never thought, the best of the best have what I have, wow, now I don't feel weird, and alone anymore.
+Robin Cook Maybe not your preference, but statistics wise she is. She has walked the most shows, has been on the most covers and steadily been the top earning model for many years.

Gisele is in he fashion history books. Between SS97 and Fall/Winter 2001/2002, she walked in every major fashion show in all 4 cities. All haute couture shows and still did every single press junket, photo shoot n commercial spot for VS since becoming an angel in 99. Gisele also ushered in models being back on fashion covers. Was Forbes highest paid models for a record 14 years and has always been a socially conscious model.

I love her - she seems like an amazing/perfect friend, wife, and mother💕 she is so beautiful and the messages she preaches about peace & love are apparent in every project she works on. Keep shining your light!!
She had it all and she "gave up" all to raise her children and be more at home for her family. She put her family first because she won and achieve all her goals financially.
there's alot of comments about fake. what people should know is anyone who respects and love nature is some of the most genuine and loving people you will meet.
Gisele wasn’t from a rich family, she lived in a really small town and her family was really poor! she helped her family when she became a model. I read her book and I’m brazilian so I know who gisele is since I was a kid, so stop talking shit about her when you don’t even know her history
I just want to put out there that I have many illnesses. I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which is the highest ranking pain condition in medical history and I've had it for 14 years. My life ended 14 years ago and I've just been existing in a world of pain and isolation. Because of this I suffer from depression and anxiety. I know what it's like to want to die. To not want to feel anymore physically or emotionally. I also have OCD. Pretty sure I was born with that. If anyone wants to talk I'm here. I'm not able to do much physically but I can always listen and be there for someone. This world is lacking a lot of understanding and compassion. Because I'm not bleeding from every part of my body people don't think I'm sick. I've even had family turn against me because they don't believe I'm sick. Well you can't see ignorance and stupidity either but it exists right? Haha. My friend who HAD my disease which is known as the suicide disease, took her life three years ago. The doctors told us both that there is nothing that can be done for us and with a condition like this our futures are as good as gone. I don't know how much longer I am going to last. But if anyone ever needs to talk I want you to know I'm here. No judgements. I think we all need to start supporting each other so some of us have a chance at getting better. Lots of love and hope to everyone.
I really wish there where more understanding people out there about anxiety ocd ptsd panic attacks especially when I was getting fired from all my jobs for being late due to having a panic attack or trying to drive to work or driving to schoool...ahh I still get them once in a while and they still make me late I'm still trying tho. Even if someone called me right now and was like congratulations you just won 10 million but you will have to fly to New York to pick it up there is no way I would be able to do that I just can't get too far away from my house 😑 I guess you could say I am defined by fear
Meredith, thanks for sharing and hope that others begin to understand "panic attacks." I know what it's like too. I'm going to try yoga and hope it might help you too. God bless!
I have OCD. It's gotten very bad over the years ever since I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which is the highest ranking pain condition in medical history. Stress causes the OCD to worsten. I'm pretty sure I was born with OCD because everything always had to be even and perfect. But when I was 15 it really hit me hard. For two years I had repetitive thoughts that destroyed my life and made me want to end it. I got help with a wonderful therapist and I was put on medication. I got a lot better. But at 20 when I got sick with this physical illness the OCD crept back in. I have no quality of life anymore because of the CRPS. It's known as the suicide disease because there's no knowledge, awareness, or treatment for it so many people kill themselves. I've had it for 14 years. I'm 34 and have never known love. I'm unable to leave the house for long periods of time and I need my mother to take care of me. I'm not physically able to do much. Even speak. And this has brought me tremendous depression. My good friend who had the same condition I have killed herself four years ago. She was 31. I honestly don't know how much longer I can take this knowing I have no future in store for me. I've been isolated for too long and I love to be social. I'm so sorry you're going through so much fear as well. I get very nervous when I leave the house because I'm afraid I'm going to get physically hurt. I have it in my ears so I can't speak or listen to others and noise is brutally painful. I know what it's like to be in constant fear. I wake up shaking with anxiety having a hard time breathing. I'm always anxious. I'm always prepared for the worst. And I'm always sad. Who knew how cruel our minds and bodies could be to us right? I hope you are able to get help one day and live the life that you want and deserve. I'm sorry I wrote such a long message but I just wanted to reach out.

A número 1. Sempre será um ser humano iluminado. Felicidades Gisele Bündchen
The money is good but the adulation and fame fading must be hard.
did you skip the part where it says all proceeds from this book's sales go to charity? Must be horrible to be such a hateful little person.
You know there's a way you can disagree with people without hurling out insults or calling names ? I don't know you so l can only speak for myself here, but you can air your views in a civilised manner. Either that or you're just acting out on the internet. Whichever way hope you're doing ok. Life can be tough sometimes.
American English : Civilized, color, fawcett. British English : Civilised, colour, tap.
Thank you Gisele!!!!
A real supermodel 🖤
She's always been stunning but now her mature beauty is becoming classic, breathtaking, just like her gorgeous mother.
I just love robin roberts, she’s the best interviewer...
👏✨BRAVO GISELLE✨👏
Gisele goes down as a legend, she's one of those people who are among the BEST in what they do, but also a very kind soul.
She is Amazing!
I would never guess she contemplated suicide with how happy she always seemed. What an awesome woman. Brave to share that with us :)
It just shows you how deceiving looks can be.
Because she s so deep and intelligent
We all struggle differently, it doesn’t matter she has so much money and is so beautiful can she still have anxiety and in the moment when she’s feeling so helpless her beauty does not matter or her money. Give her a break she did not take the money from any of us, or the modeling career or the NFL husband.
Tão orgulhoso dela! Um exemplo de ser humano
She's beautiful inside and out. Beautiful soul.
wow convinced. want to read her book
She is a very articulate woman I always thought she was stuck up and an airhead but she is open and smart and insightful and a nice person. We always think that ppl like her just have it all together but I guess they are just like us in the end. Proud of her that she was able to pick herself up and do stuff to help herself out of her panic attacks.
yeah
not good to judge a book by its cover
great interview! Gisele is amazing!
I had no idea Gisele Bundchen had any problems at all. Looking forward to reading her book! Good for her, helping others to inspire them that they too can overcome ANYTHING. I need help now and need to change. Love this young woman, as she is helping so many just by sharing her story with us all! Me included.
She's donating all proceeds to a water project in her home country Brazil. Bravo!
That was a really beautiful interview, I see her and I see myself but its good to know that we are not alone ...
gisele bundchen made tom brady the goat after he meet her he started playing better
Gisele you are so strong and beautiful! Everyone should read Lessons!
Thank you for recognizing teachers!
Love her ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was very pleasant to watch.
I can relate to this so well, to the panic attacks, elevators, flying, and closed in spaces, I can relate to all of this, all of this so well, wow i have something, in common with the Queen of soul, and one of the biggest beautiful est supermodels, ever, fears phobia's and panic attacks,
I would have never thought, the best of the best have what I have, wow, now I don't feel weird, and alone anymore.
Gisele! THE BEST MODEL EVER
Not at all
+Robin Cook Maybe not your preference, but statistics wise she is. She has walked the most shows, has been on the most covers and steadily been the top earning model for many years.
@@jeseniabrady862 being a model is also. Being a celebrity when you're that big ,and she's an amazing person from what I see so yes she's the best model!!! It's more than just look and a good walk
yeeeeeeeeeeeees
Gisele is in he fashion history books. Between SS97 and Fall/Winter 2001/2002, she walked in every major fashion show in all 4 cities. All haute couture shows and still did every single press junket, photo shoot n commercial spot for VS since becoming an angel in 99.
Gisele also ushered in models being back on fashion covers.
Was Forbes highest paid models for a record 14 years and has always been a socially conscious model.
Great interview!
Gisele vejo suas entrevistas sem entender uma única palavra porque gosto de você. Só falo mal o português, mais Mesmo.assim te assisto.voce é uma fofa.bjo
“Small spaces give me anxiety- 1 bedroom apartments, flying coach, sharing the elevator, less than a mile red carpets”
Proud of being Brazilian!
Love this interview much respect to her and robyn
I love her - she seems like an amazing/perfect friend, wife, and mother💕 she is so beautiful and the messages she preaches about peace & love are apparent in every project she works on. Keep shining your light!!
Even the interview got me crying, too. It just feels close to home.
Can anyone else hear high and low pitched tones in the background? Beautiful Soul GB.
She had it all and she "gave up" all to raise her children and be more at home for her family. She put her family first because she won and achieve all her goals financially.
Beautiful inside out🌹
She is so gorgeous ♥️✨
there's alot of comments about fake. what people should know is anyone who respects and love nature is some of the most genuine and loving people you will meet.
She is so beautiful and smart 💕
WONDERFUL WOMAN GISELE!!!! SO PROUD OF GISELE FOR BECOME THE WOMAN SHE IS GROWN TO BE. SO INSPIRING!!!!!!!
Gisele wasn’t from a rich family, she lived in a really small town and her family was really poor! she helped her family when she became a model. I read her book and I’m brazilian so I know who gisele is since I was a kid, so stop talking shit about her when you don’t even know her history
How want to buy this book.
Such a beautiful person inside and out :)
I love her
Gisele amazing 😍❤️🇧🇷
There is a Ganesha Statue in her home. Ganesha is the remover of obstacles. Bless you people
Love and Light
She is a beautiful person! Lol when your son asked you what's celebrity? You should've told him here is the perfect example. "that's me mommy!"
I really wish there where more understanding people out there about anxiety ocd ptsd panic attacks especially
when I was getting fired from all my jobs for being late due to having a panic attack or trying to drive to work or driving to schoool...ahh I still get them once in a while and they still make me late I'm still trying tho.
Even if someone called me right now and was like congratulations you just won 10 million but you will have to fly to New York to pick it up there is no way I would be able to do that I just can't get too far away from my house 😑
I guess you could say I am defined by fear
I understand . I feel the same. Yoga had help me. Take a try.
Glad I stumbled across this. What a blessed life
