Steve Carrell is absolutely tearing up those high notes, fantastic.
Perfect balance. Bass isn't too loud, Lead always in the forefront, Tenor and Baritone always solidly audible but not an ounce more. That's so rare.
You’ve got it wrong mate, the baritone was in Forefront! Cheers
I laughed so hard @pluto7373
@@pluto7373 'obligatory rim shot sound effect'
the person who clapped at 0:49 is never gonna clap first again 😂😂😂
This dude always hitting those tenor notes man, only first take has that
This lead is genuinely insane! So is the tenor. And the bari. And the bass, ykw you get the idea, First take is insane! I'd suggest listening to their work. Love their tuning. It's consistent across all ranges and sounds absolutely amazing!!
There is absolutely no margin for error on those belted high notes, but when Alex gets them right it's spectacular
The chord at "place" is just so perfect. First take is really good at being in tune.
the overtones at the end are *chef's kiss*
Listen that highest tenor changing from falsetto to normal 1:38 (find my WAYYYY) and singing loud and perfect till end. You can hear and see that it's not easy but he does it!!
I just wanna say... out of all of this, what impressed me most was the insane control they had on their dynamics at 0:33 'let 'em laugh in my face."
Didn't notice when watching for the first time and that's absolutely amazing. Thanks for pointing out!
So glad to have seen this live! In fact, that's me in the glasses behind Tony (Lead).
First Take is one of the next best quartets and they're going to win a gold soon!
Really cool harmonies! Thanks for the transcription!
Chest Cb no biggie
damn i never knew ben shapiro could sing that high hes so talented
Singing Overtones on last chord !
I just watched this twice in a row. Tears in my eyes.
1:47 goes stellar
An insane Theo Hicks arrangement - never leave a high note unused :-) Great job guys (Hey @drew wheaton)
omg the tenor at the end
Alex Corson is absolutely insane!
I remember singing this song for a music honors society project, I basically just did the melody in 8vb (or 15vb, hard to estimate) to fit a my bass/Bari range except at the end I did what the bass did here except an octave down with an octave gliss from D3 to D4
Love this song!
Just WOW!
Mmmm, mmmm. LOVE the barbershop versions! You should see Drew Wheaton doing the song from Hamilton as the king! I mean, this is epic, but Drew's "Remind you of my love" is possibly the best musical song I've ever seen in barbershop form :-)
The Bb in the bass at measure 7 are in the wrong octave, but otherwise nice transcription for a nice performance
Amazing job and skills. New subscriber and can't get enough.
'Ave Maria' by Kings Return is a must watch and a great project.
Looking forward for more on your channel ❤
Could of sworn Alex is Lester’s son lol. Full voice tenor needs some love!
Im just saying for First Take, don't be surprised if their medals change color in the next year or two
That’s a cappella a cappella
this is a half step from the original santa fe right? im not crazy and always thought it was an A4 when its an Ab4 right?
yeah it's different from the version from the musical
@@jasonfieler okay thank god im not crazy
You passed me by one sunny day
Flashed those big brown eyes my way
And ooh I wanted you forever more
Now I'm not one that gets around
I swear my feet stuck to the ground
And though I never did meet you before
I said "Hello Mary Lou
Goodbye heart
Sweet Mary Lou
I'm so in love with you"
I knew Mary Lou
We'd never part
So hello Mary Lou
Goodbye heart
I saw your lips I heard your voice
Believe me I just had no choice
Wild horses couldn't make me stay away
I thought about a moonlit night
Arms around you, good and tight
All I had to see for me to say
"Hey hey hello Mary Lou
Goodbye heart
Sweet Mary Lou
I'm so in love with you"
I knew Mary Lou
We'd never part
So, hello Mary Lou
Goodbye heart
So, hello Mary Lou
Goodbye heart
Yes, hello Mary Lou
Goodbye heart
lmao that regard wearing a mask
