He is so genuine and down to earth. I loved when he said “our relationship continues” about his dad. My dad died 5 years ago and I agree. I still have a relationship with him.
glad to see an interview about him talking about his cancer. my husband was diagnosed with hodgkin's right after we got married in january and is done with treatment & currently cancer free. i'm proud of both my husband & michael for being such champs :)
2010 - exactly on the day I turned 21 I was diagnosed with the same cancer. Michael is such an authentic and sensitive person. I think I know what he felt and that makes him even more adorable. He did the perfect thing: fighting down this awful disesase and keep on going! What doesn't kill you makes you stronger...
I was diagnosed with NHL in 1997. They caught it early in My case & didn't do chemo because of autoimmune type 1 Diabetes. We used food & supplements & went into remission after 6 months.
I can relate about the age thing. Turning 70 was the critical year for me. My mother, younger brother, late husband, and ex-husband all died at age 70. I am not 74 and my current goal is to survive past 93, the age at which my father died.
It is so bizarre to hear all of this now. I was diagnosed with breast cancer just weeks before he won the GG, and it was on my mother's birthday two years after she had passed from Melanoma. And I am a redhead like Michael. When I found out he had cancer I was crying because he exemplified a bravery I aspired to. We've both, clearly, survived, and I am grateful to him for showing his courage to the world at a time where I (and many like me) needed to see that.
Michael is such an amazing actor! You can tell just by listening to him speak all the time at how brilliant the man is! I was so happy to hear that he beat that cancer! What a great attitude about it as well. My wife loves him, and I think she has a secret crush on him lol.. I think so highly of Michael C Hall that I'm totally fine with it :) He's just a genuinely great person from what I've seen and heard about him. Too bad people couldn't be more like him. Best wishes to Michael C Hall! You're awesome man!
He is such a calm, well - mannered, wise and brave man, quite like Dexter in his usual polite mood. So glad he pulled through it and I have got to say he is an iconic actor!
Wow. I never thought just having the same disease would make me feel connected to an actor, but a lot of the things he said he felt, I'm feeling too! I was just diagnosed a week ago, I turn 18 today, and it's the end of my senior year and I feel like I've won the "cancer lottery!" I feel fine and everyone is so helpful! Just wow.
My brother was diagnosed a couple years ago and is now in remission, but I find my brother as well as Michael C Hall to be a great inspiration in my life.
I relate. Went through a similar health crisis that also required surgery and treatment, but I'm fine now, years later. I wish Michael every happiness and success and that he enjoys excellent health in his future! I'm an admirer of his amazing talent!
I love Micheal C Hall, he is so talented and so handsome, I also, absolutely love Dexter and I am so relieved that he didn't get caught, but I was so sad that he lost his family in the Dexter series finale, I cried my heart and soul out watching it, the thought that Dexter ended up separated from from his beautiful son was more than I could bear to think, the final scene with his sister Debra was also heartbreaking.
Oh man,I just finished watching Dexter last season and i came to know that you had this disease and if something had happened to you i would be shattered.Glad you made it
Here seeing this vid for the first time in 2024. He stays humble and so relatable. I lost my dad suddenly 3 years ago and he truly lives on through me; and now I can see it through my 2 daughters, whom he never met, as well. 🙏 God bless, cheers to continuing the legacy and fighting on. ❤
A very powerful, gentle and attractive man. Loved the old Dexter, 6 feet under and now the new Dexter.................Continued success Michael..................from a fan downunder..............xo
I am currently battling stomach cancer right now and both of my parents have had cancer (my mother had to quit her career as a muscian due to stage 3, late stage 3 breast cancer, my dad had prostate, I just got diagnosed with stomach cancer at 27, we're a regular cancer family :P) and seeing Dex battle it and get better is helpful. It is EXTREMELY painful and scary, I got lucky, I got good family, friends, I watch plenty of good shoes and smoke lots of weed, pop some happy pills, and so far am-
As a oncologist,i learn from my patient. Their ,courage, calmness amaze me.many times i would be crying when i have to tell them that nothing can be done and they end up comforting me.I have also witness miracles .. suddenly nothing everything is gone..I believe science and having faith are not mutually exclusive
Your emotions are betrayed by your impossible to hide “dry” vocal tract, which means you are a simple and stupendous STRONG human being ❤I’m grateful and happy you exist and we are in sharing the same time lapse in this world ❤
He's such a great actor, I totally enjoy his performance. .I just wish Jenn and Mike stayed together. I'm glad he won the battle against that terrible disease.
omg poor guy i never knew he had cancer :( and heartbreaking bout his dad :'( Michael is a strong guy and incredible actor hope he'll be okies in the future :) i was thinking with what happened to his dad it probably helped him with the character dexter cause dexter went through the same thing with his dad, heartbreaking to know he actually experienced it though :(
Merry Christmas 🎅🎄.. i remember hearing about this .. glad he pulled through .. god bless 🙏 .. he's still here .. life is fragile .. Dexter New Blood .. great show .. 😊
my buddy's a doc and i guess the saying between him and his doctor friends is "the gens always wins". we all know a smoker/drinker who lives to their 70's/80's and others who don't. But from what i've been told by him and seen in my family, good genetics go a long way.
and cancer comes from crap in our food like overdosing on sugar laced foods, all the stuff wrapped in plastics leaking into what we eat and drink, and general polution, don't have to smoke to get lung cancer your breakfast cereal or deodorant will prob give it to you lol and this is all known beforehand but they still expose us to it.
i know exactly what you mean man, i was diagnosed 2 weeks ago, just rounding out my last weeks of my first year at college, everybody is acting so nice like am made of glass its like FUCK! ease up am the same guy i was last month! hope your doing well
It's funny, the dead people we knew. I had a friend who was 1 year older than me, who has now been gone forever ago... but in my mind, he's still older than me.
I love Michael C. Hall. And watching this I feel like it's the answers Dexter would've given. Kinda awkward, like yeah, this is what's happening and we'll fix it *Dexter narration* This interviewer thinks I care about the lymphoma. I don't. I'm curious about what's on the other side. Funny how death at your door changes your personality none and just wields more questions.
He's so warm and caring and soft spoken and inspiring. I'm so happy he pulled through!
I really really like this guy, plus he is a great actor. Thanks Mike.
Yeah, when hes not killing people
He is so genuine and down to earth. I loved when he said “our relationship continues” about his dad. My dad died 5 years ago and I agree. I still have a relationship with him.
Yes, I completely agree. My father died 4 and a half years ago.
Sweet, unique soul. Very special talent indeed.
I love him so much. So glad he is healthy and well.

I am just glad that you are ok, Michael. We need more people like you in this world.
