Yugoslavia itself was, like the USSR, an ugly group marriage. Somehow the USSR divorce was peaceful - until Ukraine and Russia went back to court a few times (2008, 2014, and 2022) in the 21st Century for modifications, the worst being 2022. The Yugo divorce was was thd ugliest from the start. Karl Marx in Das Kapital had skme "choice remarks" about ALL of East Europe: "The Russians, in all their Slavic dirtiness, at least have a capacity for empire buildjng while the Poles and Czechs have none of this and there will have to be some ultimate resolution if the problem of all the disparate peoples of East Europe." If he felt that way about the Poles and Czechs you can imagine his opinions on the Balkans.

Only 80% of Russia is Russian. There's hundreds of other groups. Udmurts, Tatars, etc.
