    Another awesome video Matt. Thank you for taking the time and dedication to show us how to use this utility. It is very important to have this content available so a lot of blind and visually impaired people can learn how to use it. Also, sighted people can see the video and learn how to help people with visual disabilities too. 👍

      Good morning, thank you once again for all of your very kind words, you are so nice. I agree, this is definitely a very nice and helpful utility available on the iPhone, although it can be a little bit frustrating and confusing at times, it is certainly incredibly helpful once we get the hang of how to use it. Thanks for watching, have a great Tuesday and see you soon. Matt

      Good morning Cayla! I agree, it has been a lot of fun talking and going through the UA-cam process together! And of course, being virtual friends! LOL. I completely agree with you, I previously did not know about the realtor for a few months after I got my iPhone, but once I learned it and understood how to use it, it is something that I literally use multiple times a day. It is definitely a great tool to have available to us! You’re welcome for the shout out to, I wish though shout out would have shown up in your mentions tab, that would’ve been fun. Hey Judy, it is great to hear from you. Hopefully that video is somewhat helpful. I recognize it is probably not explained all that well, but the rotor is actually very difficult to explain whether it is in person, over the phone or in a video. It is somewhat complicated, but best recommendation would be to just play around with it and you will become familiar with it the more you practice. If you have any specific questions, let me know and I will see what I can do to help you. Thanks again Judy, Matt

      Good morning my dear friend! That is so cool that you learn something new from this video. You were deafly need to play around with it, like I said in the video, it is definitely confusing in a little bit difficult to get the hang of, but once you learn it you will definitely love this feature! I would just recommend playing around with it and getting familiar with some of the features that are offered through the rotor. I think you’ll find it to be a very helpful tool once you learn the process of how to get into it and the different options. Thanks again my friend, have a lovely Tuesday and I’ll be missing you until Thursday again! Huge hugs, that

    I was just exploring around the parts of the You Tube app, seeing if I can get rotor to do go through the links in the description box. It has been a little finicky since the last update. I was finally able to get to links using the headings section of the rotor. The links section was not available even though I included pretty much all possible rotor settings all the time. It just doesn't offer some if the updater team decided to for example, call all the links, headings, in this one section, then headings are available, but not links, on the rotor in this restricted field. So I guess it is worth checking every item in the rotor by flicking it just to see if suddenly you can land on, say links, by flicking through, headings, or buttons, or some other thing. Glad I got it to still read the description box, after much writing into support and feedback and giving hints about a built in tool developers have because newer developers don't always know that can help them in the process of updates and such, or even that it's there. So I try to gently let them know it's there and why it's important for us to access the links and all the other material in the description.

    • @BlindtoBillionaire
      @BlindtoBillionaire  4 роки тому

      Good morning! Yes, the rotor can definitely be confusing at times. I’m glad that you were playing around and experimenting with it. That is what I would recommend to most people, just add different features into the rotor and play around with it to see if it works for you. Sometimes it can be difficult to navigate through different documents or pages, but once we learn what is best for us, it can actually be a very helpful tool. Thanks so much for all of the information and for playing around with the rotor, it sounds like you were getting it down! Have a lovely day, see you soon. Matt

    Good Afternoon! Interesting concept, I think it's one of the things I should ask about when I figure out who my new counselor is with VERC. @@splashesin8 I am too! There was an electrical issue after my husband died. Once the electrical panel and wiring was exposed, there was a bulge in the wiring. It was obvious something had gotten too hot. Only thing, I don't know if it was before we moved in, or after we put in the solar panels. The heater guy said not all of our heat strips are hooked up, and not enough space on the current panel box to hook them up. All the little things led up to the decision to replace it! They'll be here in the morning around 9. I'll be without power for a few hours, but I'll figure out something to do.

    Wow that is a very nice feature on the iPhone I like Android query you have to do that side to side swiping motion to select your option then you have to double tap it to activate that option I like how the rotor stays on your selection and it's pretty much just ready to use you don't have to double tap it. This must be a new feature that was added cuz I don't think it's on any of the older iPhones.

I heard about the technique of swiping one finger up and down on opposite sides of the screen from a guy from AppleVis. There’s also a way you can set up your own custom gestures if you have trouble with the dial. I find the rotor really helpful to double check spelling of a word that Siri or voice-over may have spoken and I want to check the spelling of that word or to check when I have dictated that it has put the correct version of a word such as to, too or two. I find it easier to turn the rotor with my thumb and index finger… But that's just me I guess 😏

    I have been completely blind since birth, and I had a question for you. Just out of curiosity, what speech rate do you have your phone on a daily basis? I cannot stand my speaking rate slower than 60! I usually have mine set to a fast rate.

      Hi, I do have a video talking about some of the apps that I use, but I’m not sure if they are available for android. I use Seeing AI, Be My Eyes, and Google maps. Those are by far my favorite apps.

      Hi, thank you for the comment. I pin questions or comments that I find will possibly be helpful to others who come across them. If you leave a helpful comment on the next video that I think will be valuable to other people, I will definitely pin it. But like I said it needs to be a good comment that I find will possibly be valuable to other people. If you do that, then yes I will definitely pay your comment. Thanks, Matt

      Good morning my friend! There’s nothing wrong with turning it like a dial, that is how most people do it. I just find that my method is a little bit easier. LOL. I hope you’re having a wonderful day. See you soon! Matt
