The Portland metro area is just amazing. tons of lush, evergreen, thick forest and steep hills. Lake Oswego, West Linn, Oregon City, Milwaukie, Happy Valley are just some of the greatest suburbs outside of Portland. Beaverton, Tigard and Sherwood are also great suburbs in the west/south west of Portland. Mt Tabor neighborhood in Portland is OK, but it's not on a hill because East Portland is mostly flat and the steep hills are on the west/south west of Portland. by the way, you guys spelled "neighborhood" like the Brits.
Well said! I couldn't agree more. Good catch on the spelling! 😂 You know what's funny is that one of my graphic guys lives in London and I used to live there for a short stint so I totally overlooked that. Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Hi, I wouldn't put it on my list of best neighborhoods. It's a great neighborhood if you work or go to school at the University of Portland. I think it could be a great place for a rental.
Anyone moving to Portland now should have their head examined. I'm only here because I was born here. If I weren't already here, Portland would be at the absolute bottom of my list of places to live.
5 years ago we moved to Beaverton, after 25 years in Boise. We couldn't be happier. I tease my wife about going back and get dirty looks. Lol As they say, different strokes for different folks...
IMHO, this presentation was marketed to a specific target audience … that being families that have children, want to get in the car and drive. 🧐Leaves us empty nesters and DINKS out. Not really much help other than showing how beautiful Portland is. 😉
Hi Rob, you are right for this specific video but I have many more on my channel. I help lots of empty nesters and adults with out children, just shoot me a text or email and I'd be happy to connect.
They also have high crime rate and crappy traffic, with over priced homes. I know a bunch of people moving out of Beaverton area because of the homeless problem.
Hey Judah, LO is part of the Portland Metro and so are countless other areas around the "City" of Portland " just like most other cities in the united states. No one is hood winking anyone here it's how you search for places to live in a city. Hope you are having a great day!
@@movingtoportlandoregon If your video hadn't referred to the city of Lake Oswego as a Neighborhood in Portland, I wouldn't have said anything at all. Cheers.
A really excellent video, thank you. My wife and I are planning to move to Portland in August 2025 and we’ll definitely reach out to you then.
Glad it was helpful! Reach out anytime aaron@aaroncullen.com

What about University Park?

what are the specific beaverton neighborhoods/
Hi, some of my favorite areas of Beaverton are Neighbors Southwest and West Beaverton. Those include Murrayhill and Sexton Mountain,
They also have high crime rate and crappy traffic, with over priced homes. I know a bunch of people moving out of Beaverton area because of the homeless problem.
Lake Oswego has its own police department and its own City Hall. It’s not a neighborhood . . . And It’s not in Portland at all.
Don’t misrepresent.

Portland is an absolute toilet. Don't even think of moving here.
