I was looking at the shop manual and the axle bushings go in after the shaft and gears are in position to allow the key in the keyway through. Seals will be after that. Still waiting on parts right now.
@@daleolson7205 I just ordered a new axle shaft and the small low speed gear. mine was shot. I just tore it apart today and I'm glad I found your videos. Nice job on editing and filming. Not bad for just getting started.
Hey Dale ? I am working on on of these, is there a bushing that goes in between the back brass gear and the end bearing to keep the bearing an race from moving in too far? I can't find that bushing but I think mine is missing that bushing cause the bearing race goes in past the tiller housing
I had a hard time with the axle seals myself. Didn't want to damage shaft at sealing surface
