The thing with being good at one side makes your other side worse. I'm way too good at crewmate so I have to constantly change my imp game. Pikmin 4 (Altrive, he's on a bunch of Alpharad vids) is a good example of someone who's good at imp (surprisingly) simply because everything he does even as a crewmate is sus

I was about to say... What if Fall Guys are the ancestors of Among Us? In previous theories, MatPat said that the people in Among Us were probably specially bred for those missions. Well, if that’s true, wouldn’t it make sense to put the breeding pool through a series of obstacles and challenges to make them stronger, faster, and more athletic? Put them through difficult races to see who the best of the best are so you know who is ready to help create the perfect species for the job, and who needs more training? I mean, they even look similar, but there are obvious changes. For example, the Among Us people have floating hands, while Fall Guys have arms. This could be a part of evolution. I don’t think Fall Guys are very closely related to the jelly beans in Among Us, but they are likely ancestors.But hey, that’s just a theory! A Game Theory! (I always wanted to say that)

Not talking much doesnt mean anything is they always arent that talkative, even as a crewmate. I actually do a lot of these as a crewmate and I dont get voted out. A way to find if someone is an impostor is if they stand still when there's a sabotage and starts walking after it started, or walks away from a task when the bar doesnt go up.
What's awesome about this video compared to the typical Among Us guide is that it not only tells you what you should be doing as Imposter, but how you should be thinking about the game and how to approach it. when you are the imposter, the trick is to say who you think is innocent, not who you think is guilty, when people are the imposter they try so hard to prove that they are not the imposter and start blaming other people and asking too many questions. if you say who you think is innocent, you gain peoples trust and it makes you seem more humane, as you appear to be trying to figure out the case but you appear to not yet know who it is.

I was playing among us with randoms, and three of us started sticking together. We would watch each other do a task, and once we had all proven our innocence we watched everyone else. The killers couldn’t touch us since there were three of us, so they killed off everyone else in the game. Leaving only the killers and us, we vote them out and win. It worked every single round except once when one of the trio was the imposter and tricked the rest of us. It was the most fun I’ve ever had in among us, and I wasn’t even the imposter
that's such a scummy tactic, the game is already hard for the imposters without people sticking together on purpose Edit: I guess that's why they have the sabotages, to split up groupers like you and it does lend to imposters trying to make really good plays but since it's unnecessary to win the game and just makes it infinitely harder for imposters I tend to avoid it.

Theory: There are no imposters in Among Us. The “Imposters” are really space men that went insane thinking that someone else on the ship is an “imposter”. So they start killing all the other crew members in hope of finding that imposter. But then they themselves become the “Imposter” or murderer. ..
I have a 95% win rate as imposter joining random games. The trick is to defend people who get falsely accused Edit: defend with doubt of them being it or by saying skip don’t overdefend. This strategy works because most imposters accuse or agree with an accusation in order to thin crewmates and so defending not only earns you a permanent ally but also makes it unlikely for anyone to accuse you.
This is actually a solid strategy. It plays off of humans obligation bias (it has a proper name, but I don't remember it offhand.). Essentially, what it boils down to is a social construct whereby, if one does you a favor, you are more likely to do them a favor in return, even if it's something you wouldn't normally do. There's a ton of awesome research on the subject, if you ever have the time! Essentially, by doing the accused the "favor" of defending them, they are more likely in turn to defend you, as it would be a repayment of that previous favor! And, to top it all off, if you ARE killed, it casts further doubt on the person you defended. After all, why would you try so hard to defend someone who WASN'T your teammate? TL;DR while this idea should be tested, it does hold with psychological science.

as someone who plays Town of Salem, it’s best to be as loud as possible. Saying the truth and putting subtle and little lies in them makes them believe you. Make little accusations like “He was following me” and end it with “But i’m not sure though”, this will make them likely vote for that person and they will think it’s their own choice to vote for them but in reality, you’ve already told them to do so. Causing chaos and spreading misinformation is your primary goal
Last time I played Town of Salem I ended up in a situation where I was the only innocent left with two mafia guys. A bit weird to plead for my innocence when it doesn't matter that I AM innocent.

This game teaches people to be deceptive and cause betrayal among close social circles and groups like family and your long-time friends. Such a nice move by the powers that be.....
That's why I always leave after 1 round if the crewmates act too braindead. Having dumb crewmates really makes a win as the Impostor really not as rewarding because it relies less on intelligence and planning and more on luck. If the room you've been playing on for 5 matches goes private with 8/10 players in it, that's a good sign that everyone in the room is intelligent and the games you're about to play is guaranteed interesting and fun.

For sabotage: I’ve gone to secuirty before to see where people were. If I saw a bunch of people on the right side, I pull reactor because that’s on the left and harder to get to. If there’s a lot of people on the left side, I pull 02 because that’s on the right side and harder to get to. I’ve won using this.
I think sabotage deserved more discussion. I tend to use it very actively for one VERY important reason - it creates chaos. A chaotic environment is a prime environment for the impostor. Sure, the lights are a very good one, but I tend to make heavy use of alternating O2 and the reactor. It gets everybody running all over the place. Too much information is just as helpful to the impostor as too little.

I fricking was the impostor/imposter on my first ever among us game (edited because I’m tired and my mind is having a debate whether it’s impostor or imposter

when you are the imposter, the trick is to say who you think is innocent, not who you think is guilty, when people are the imposter they try so hard to prove that they are not the imposter and start blaming other people and asking too many questions. if you say who you think is innocent, you gain peoples trust and it makes you seem more humane, as you appear to be trying to figure out the case but you appear to not yet know who it is.

I was playing among us with randoms, and three of us started sticking together. We would watch each other do a task, and once we had all proven our innocence we watched everyone else. The killers couldn’t touch us since there were three of us, so they killed off everyone else in the game. Leaving only the killers and us, we vote them out and win. It worked every single round except once when one of the trio was the imposter and tricked the rest of us. It was the most fun I’ve ever had in among us, and I wasn’t even the imposter

Theory-ception: a theory comment in a theory video
I have a 95% win rate as imposter joining random games. The trick is to defend people who get falsely accused
Edit: defend with doubt of them being it or by saying skip don’t overdefend. This strategy works because most imposters accuse or agree with an accusation in order to thin crewmates and so defending not only earns you a permanent ally but also makes it unlikely for anyone to accuse you.

This is actually a solid strategy. It plays off of humans obligation bias (it has a proper name, but I don't remember it offhand.). Essentially, what it boils down to is a social construct whereby, if one does you a favor, you are more likely to do them a favor in return, even if it's something you wouldn't normally do. There's a ton of awesome research on the subject, if you ever have the time!
Essentially, by doing the accused the "favor" of defending them, they are more likely in turn to defend you, as it would be a repayment of that previous favor!
And, to top it all off, if you ARE killed, it casts further doubt on the person you defended. After all, why would you try so hard to defend someone who WASN'T your teammate?
TL;DR while this idea should be tested, it does hold with psychological science.

- Don't vote on 7 people when the two imp were still alive.
- No alibi, No oxygen.
- Save your task that could prove your innocence. (Unless, the visuals are off.)
Things include:
Skeld: Medbay Scan, Weapons, Shields and Trash
MiraHQ: Medbay Scan
Polus: Weapons and Medbay
- Don't fix the lights alone.
- Don't blatantly say who's safe on the very first round cause they will most likely get targeted, but if someone accuses that color for no absolute reason, immediately vouch for him.
The mistake they often get is blatantly pointing fingers at the reporter
2 things: What is visual about shields and weapons? And second: how do you turn off visual tasks?

as someone who plays Town of Salem, it’s best to be as loud as possible. Saying the truth and putting subtle and little lies in them makes them believe you. Make little accusations like “He was following me” and end it with “But i’m not sure though”, this will make them likely vote for that person and they will think it’s their own choice to vote for them but in reality, you’ve already told them to do so. Causing chaos and spreading misinformation is your primary goal
Last time I played Town of Salem I ended up in a situation where I was the only innocent left with two mafia guys. A bit weird to plead for my innocence when it doesn't matter that I AM innocent.

For sabotage: I’ve gone to secuirty before to see where people were. If I saw a bunch of people on the right side, I pull reactor because that’s on the left and harder to get to. If there’s a lot of people on the left side, I pull 02 because that’s on the right side and harder to get to. I’ve won using this.

I think sabotage deserved more discussion. I tend to use it very actively for one VERY important reason - it creates chaos. A chaotic environment is a prime environment for the impostor. Sure, the lights are a very good one, but I tend to make heavy use of alternating O2 and the reactor. It gets everybody running all over the place. Too much information is just as helpful to the impostor as too little.
