Love everything about it. A good cover to me is a twist or some originality somewhere. You hear both sides of the musicians in this and its something to appreciate. Touche guys.
Jesus Christ, finally. I heard the original song a few months ago in passing and it reminded me of this track, but I had no idea who made the cover because I didn't know who these guys were at the time. The crazy shit at like 2:20 should have been a dead giveaway in retrospect.
Listening to this was like hearing two spilt personalities. The remnant vibe of the classic 80's and then something beyond the shadows releasing its anger. The contrast and it's concept are clever. My only problem is that when the breakdown and the metal starts I kind of don't recognize the song but the lyrics. I like that you added your twist, and I know metal isn't for everyone. I grew up on it. I don't know, Doomslayer music influence? Possibly?
@@noisypinkbubble875 You love to see growth. People who just want to hear the same song confuse me. Like, it's Glasscloud, obviously they're gonna go crazy
As an adult far out of puberty I disagree, guttural vocals can be good in certain circumstances, such examples are slipknot, demon hunter, periphery, some older avenged sevenfold and five finger death punch
i agree with you that the transition to the heavy parts were pretty terrible but they are a heavy hardcore band . i just think they could have done the transition to the heavy parts better but the rest of the song is solid.
Not really an interpretation... if it were more guitar driven instead of synth driven perhaps... Too similar. Good, but could have been much better imo
HOLY FUCK!!!!! My 2 favorite things! Tears For Fears & Glass Cloud! Great job guys! See you on February 14th in Mobile!
Stephen Chauvin .I think tears for fears are better. Cheers.

Can we just agree that Josh Travis is a fucking god?
The singing is so beautiful and the screaming was well done. 💜
tetravalent .I think the start of it was the best bit. Curt smith was better.

I think that pictures was taken in Albany NY. we've jammed there a few times!
El mejor cover q escuche en mucho tiempo
What @John Novac said.

This is amazing. Just found this band
Still better than Lorde. Every time.
Who?
Her cover is a goddamn abomination.
I wish they’d come back
Haha, I'm pretty sure that's my local venue in the pic. Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park, NY
MUITO BOM
Can anyone confirm the venue in the photograph is "Upstate Concert Hall" (Formerly "Northern Lights" in Clifton Park, NY)?
Spettacolare, bravissimi.
It's on Take Action Vol. 11
contrast.is.good. :)
Yeah, sounds really good
I get such shitty looks from people when I blast this at a red light with the windows down.
I've been waiting for years for a metal/rock cover of this song.
thaneros .yeah well it's crap.
@@tinajaneoxnam.8866 who asked 💀
Joshua is one of the greatest guitarist in the djent scene
ale er no curt smith roland orzabal were better.
You know what ? At first i didn't like this, but the more familiar i get with Josh Travis' playing the more i realize he HAD to do it this way
holy scooped mids batman

this is so crazy lol
landmine55 . That's cos it's crap.

At first the song sounds tame but then it sounds like Zalgo corrupted it NICE
Not really a fan of the breakdowns, but I can still appreciate an original tale on a great song. And I like the guy's singing voice.
David D. .are u talking about tears for fears. Because if you are.👍thumps up. Hate it by heavy metal bands & lorde drowned it. Sorry.
Looking at this comment 6 years later and I'm a completely different person. This cover is fucking dirty and I love everything about it lmao

Sick futile like 2:38. That was so dumb.
The drummer's going a little bit too hard on it tbh
no way! if anything it's fair warning to expect the other instruments to follow suit lol
A song doesn't need a breakdown to be good.
*until
lol you think so to huh?!
ThaTCPS . Yeah it was shit .huh.
The drum shuffle is annoying though.....
songs good but should take out that breakdown part doesn't fit good.
Pretty sick cover apart from that screamo bit totally unnecessary in my opinion
well they're a metal band... they do that.
I think the same

So you don't like it when emo goes screamo?
WOW THIS IS PRETTY WHACK
*LIKED*
Eeehhh até a metade tava bom... O gtito estragou a musica
was ok with it.. then the screamo.. ruined a legendary song..
ThaTCPS . That's cos it's crap. Tears for fears please up us .will u please admit u was better.
breakdown/screaming part ruined it, would've sounded better with out em
Not really an interpretation... if it were more guitar driven instead of synth driven perhaps... Too similar. Good, but could have been much better imo
Why... why... why ruin it with the screaming???
Not the version i'd like to listen to while having a candle lit dinner with my lady. Nice try though.
Jesse Selman .no well tears for fears were better at it. And sorry but I think lorde drowned it.
love it! but the screamo was awful, never liked and never will like screamo music.
Learn the actual terminology or shut up
That picture is from the show I was at in clifton park.
