Very cool peak into that overland show. MANY years ago (like 30+ years ago) my wife and I had a Scamper pop up on a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 before all of this cool stuff. The rain on your pop up roof reminded me of the good old days. We would windsurf the Gorge in Hood River, OR and then drive down the Oregon coast and sail in the ocean alone the way home to CA and camp in the rain at night. It was an amazing time and those memories will always be there. I realize my life was reversed, I was retired first for 2 decades and then had 3 great kids and I worked and didn't mind working and actually enjoy working knowing that I have done everything I wanted in my life in my 20's'-40's. Keep up the good life.
I have a 1995 Geo Tracker 2 door 4x4 and that camper on the Jeep was what I wanted to build for it. That thing is perfect. Drop it off and go wheelin. I also have a sweet 93 4 Runner. Keep up the awesome sauce vids.
That camper for the two door is awesome. Have a projector to watch outside movies and keep a mini bbq indie the rear of Jeep. And a bunch of dehydrated meals also, and oatmeal. Already planning haha
Really a cool concept Jeep/camper... actually a very cool concept... 😎 👌 just enough room but small... might not be big enough to "live " out of... ? ... but a weekend camping trip for two.. hunting and fishing trip... 🎣 😎 👌.. or some pleasure overlanding .... ummm . A awning that provides plenty of outside coverage for eating and socializing... Be interested in how well the Jeep handles it...suspension...power... etc... Enjoy the "Overland Vehicle and equipment " shows. Always interesting to see the variety of products and vehicles.
Wow,but after getting over how it looks and how well it's attached. If you drive this properly it has all a person needs to get by in life. Sink stove- toilet shower then bed to rest. Love it. Lil rearrangement on the over sized bed( I'm one small person). I'd add closet to even out weight beside the bed. More storage all I saw it needed. A+
Probably poorly. I think that the pros out way the cons though, at least for the owners of it. It's obviously not gonna be a great trail rider anymore but if you're not into that with your Jeep then why worry about it?
I love Jeeps, but that 2-door w/ camper is a disaster waiting to happen. Mercedes Sprinter vans & Lexus GX460s are rolling hazards (top heavy), but this is even worse.
Still looking for a vehicle. Rav4, Tacoma, tundra, 4runner, sienna or Honda odyssey, crv. I saw what Toyota did with there sienna. They lifted it using tundra kit. Badass. Little pricey but cool. Tacoma's are expensive. 4runners here(AZ) have way too many miles 250k for 12-15k.xjs same. Im looking at older models. Ill keep looking. Im sure when the time is right ill find one. Hopefully by the end of next month ill have one and start my build. Im glad you showed the tracker. Its nice to see odd balls in builds. Yall have a blessed day.
Usually a Jeep is towed behind a camper. I am genuinely amazed by this set up , and it has a bathroom too! I wonder if they went off-roading in this setup?
They even count on the side wind factor? Hardtops TJ's and JK's already had that squirrelly behaviour from factory. The did mount airlifts or any sort of suspension help for the rear coils to support that?
seriously, if they cant produce one camper for one guy with a farily large you tube audience, it kinda makes me wonder what the heck is taking so long. I mean its been a WHILE
That camper - wrangler is awesome but makes me wonder if it's had a 4 cyl to 6 or 8 cyl engine swap to help with weight distribution and power? We travel the Columbia River Gorge (which is usually very windy) in our camper- less Wrangler and with the wind resistance of our square, boxy vehicle, that means getting blown around on the highway a bit and that can be something of a challenge. I can just imagine if we had a camper on there.
Wife refuses to go camping. She just doesn't like it. I showed her this Jeep camper and she was really impressed. She won't camp without a CLEAN and very PRIVATE bathroom. There may be hope yet.
There's no way I could even think of mounting that camper on my TJ. The center of gravity on a 4 inch lifted TJ on 35's with a 900+ lbs box attached to your roof rack? Definitely roll it sooner or later, just a matter of when.
you could dig a hole out your truck bed and walk around in a hot tub but where does it end. i duno they should totally put a hatch/latch to the floor of the bed.
How do I get ahold of one of those campers I need to put on my pick up I pull a goose neck horse trail and I cannot find a camper! Pleasexclamation point please contact me I need this ASAP I have been sleeping in the seat of my truck
Love to see more of that camper and how it was built!
that jeep camper has to be the most innovative camper I've seen in a long time! something for Julie to consider!!!
Nothing could possibly go wrong with this contraption.
Glad you guys liked my Geo Tracker. Sorry I didnt get to meet you in person. What a great event. Lots of cool people and nice rigs.
If it were a pop-up it would be damn near perfect! What a great design! That rain will put you right to sleep!
That was my first thought... pop up, and even pop out (in the back)
Well, I certainly don't see how a tall camper on a short wheelbase Jeep, over rough, off-camber trails can go wrong.
hahahahaha
Wheelie bars with big off-road tires would be a great add on as well.
I would hope they take it off the jeep before they go off-road … on road it must be scary enough
@@greygoose4x46 different to imagine any environment where this would be a better option than towing a trailer.
@@plus790 agreed !

That’s wild on that two door wrangler. I’d like to see something like that integrated into the back of the two door and into the back of the 4 door.
Yes!
I'd like a mini camper ...A Bathroom is a must
"The road chose me" did exactly that.

Hello u 2!
Glad things are going your way!
Pace yourselves! Remember, life is to be lived, an enjoyed!
Appreciate your time!
I bet it could do wheelies lol 😂 That's a awesome setup. Especially with a bathroom!
That two door jeep looks like a wheelie machine! What could go wrong? 🤷🏻♂️
Lmao the first thing I thought was “wheelie machine” 😂
Yes, I'd like to see more of that. I own a 2 door JK and never thought of that!
The old penny racers cars. 🤣
I'm sure its fine. Think of the fan's think of the show! The crowd. It will be spectacular 😭
On an Unlimited 4 door?
I wonder how it would handle?
Bathroom...Everything youd need
Nice Short video. Really cool stuff.
Always Entertaining and Educational!
Well that escalated quickly.... Awesome rig!
Definitely not a bad idea. Cool Jeep mods!
Super cool the folks at lolo are pretty cool dudes. It’s pretty cool to see the culture they have built around there brand that’s what it’s all about.
Yes sir they are good dudes and it’s amazing to see the culture they have created. You can feel it at their events!! Thx for watching 👊
who ever designed this rig is a genius
If the Backwoods camper owners decided that they wanted a sitting area, they could do a fold out tent platform at the rear entrance.

Awesome turn out this meetup! Ha...and I see that you got to see my GMC savana 4x4 van 💪 @ 2.22

Dude...that thing seems like a death trap.
The Wrangler with the Backwoods camper was a cool setup. I wonder how it handles/drives?
It’s a rollover hazzard
@@Jaybird-oo3ih Yeah, probably so. Pretty high center of gravity on that thing.
Probably poorly. I think that the pros out way the cons though, at least for the owners of it. It's obviously not gonna be a great trail rider anymore but if you're not into that with your Jeep then why worry about it?
That is insane! Love it man.
THAT JEEP CAMPER IS AWESOME!!!!! 🤯
Looks like a wheelie machine.
Dang I wish I would’ve know this event was going on. Would have loved to check it out!
How awesome! Now we are talking!
Nice quickie.

Interesting rigs!
Dude, you should link Julie’s page in your description!
Great find! Now I want it!
What a unique build. Great find
I like it so much ! Can using the shower 4 storage an the square stand place 4 shower using cook water. Mauro- Italy 🇮🇹
Good luck with that.. probably works ok when it's parked, as long as there is no wind
OH YA!11 DOWN TO MOB. THAT TEENY WEENY WRANGLER CAMPER WAS SSSIIIKK!!!
Looks like my wedding night!
That was one crazy Jeep!
A lot of Sweet Rigs
would love to see that "back woods" camper jeep MOBin....!!
Lovin' the backwoods camper!!!
That jeep looks like it needs training wheels to keep from falling over.
Looks very nicely executed, also looks like a really bad idea
So much cool stuffs!
That Jeep looks like one of those old "penny racer" wheelie cars.
Awesome video Phil
02:40
The gal sitting looks very familiar...
.
Five or six minutes is a nice video interlude from my schedule!
ok that really open our small minded.... really good setup that jeep
The backwoods camper rules
Looks like a great mall camper, as long as there's no large speed bumps to make it roll over. Lol.
Agree
That was a sweet jeep set up
Usually a Jeep is towed behind a camper.
I am genuinely amazed by this set up , and it has a bathroom too!
I wonder if they went off-roading in this setup?
I'm surprised I didn't see more 4x4 vans than I did in this video. Mostly trucks. I can't wait to buy a monster... van!
You just can't beat the rooftop tents. Well unless you're in a hurricane but that only happens once.☝
Good thing lifted 2 door wranglers aren't known for being tippy or anything...
Not top heavy at all.
That jeep was epic!!
Hey! Thanks for showing my delica! It's for sale lol.

When is the followup video with it flipped down a gully off a trail?
For a sec I thought you were in Lolo MT and got super stoked.
Good content. When's the Bison camper gonna be done?

Wondering if you saw Coyote Works and his rig there. He's always doing stuff with Lolo overland.
Doesn't hurt that his brother works there lol
I think you confused on the brother terminology 😂
Omg the best idea! Jaja I loved!
That backwoods camper is on marketplace in Oregon for 3k.
What happened to your camper?
That thing just needs pop up roof for stability. That would be perfect setup for 1 or 2 people.
Wife refuses to go camping. She just doesn't like it. I showed her this Jeep camper and she was really impressed. She won't camp without a CLEAN and very PRIVATE bathroom. There may be hope yet.
just dont take a turn to sharp!
Hello. Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hey can you tell me the name of your friends water sprayer?? I can't seem to find the video. Or link me where I can purchase it. Thanks
Cool camper on wrangler
I saw one on the back of a Plymouth in the 80s when I was a kid
There's no way I could even think of mounting that camper on my TJ. The center of gravity on a 4 inch lifted TJ on 35's with a 900+ lbs box attached to your roof rack? Definitely roll it sooner or later, just a matter of when.
What’s the blowup awning in front of store owners or promoters white truck? Says UK/AH on it.
I love that camper on the Jeep that's a fucking great idea bro
you could dig a hole out your truck bed and walk around in a hot tub but where does it end. i duno they should totally put a hatch/latch to the floor of the bed.
Cool guy and gal I sure enjoyed that video let's go forward I'm right behind you ready to watch the next yeehaw stay off the donkeys
Is there a link for the camper,,,, ?
Certainly couldn't do that with the toy gladiator pickup with what 800lbs load capacity?
I would have extended that over the hood a bit to balance it out. Maybe even a pop up top!
I want to know if the had to upgrade the suspension on that jeep
Game Changer!
I think it looks cool, and if you could out it on jacks when you got to your spot....bonus.
What's weight of the only camper?
Where do you find this camper and what is its name
Does it do wheelies ??
How do I get ahold of one of those campers I need to put on my pick up I pull a goose neck horse trail and I cannot find a camper! Pleasexclamation point please contact me I need this ASAP I have been sleeping in the seat of my truck
Do you know the make of the speaker fire pit thing? Thanks
Didn't expect you in Troutdale
I would like to know what Jeep owner did to beef up rear suspension for weight addition.
Owned several jeeps,I wonder how it handled with this camper, knowing the vehicle I would say difficult to dangerous
Good looking Jeep camper. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
YOUR FUNNY MAN / I KNEW SOME THING WAS UP IN THE FIRST 5 SECONDS OF THIS VIDEO / IT WAS ALL OVER YOUR FACE
Hey did you give up on the camper build for your Jeep?
Thanks for sharing. Jeep getting bashed a bit but good to see it.
I wonder how the centre of gravity is?
WHERE ARE YOU GUYS MASKS AT ?
Man I was at Oregon trail rally that weekend :( was wishing I was in 2 spots for sure though!
It seems like at these events, the parking lot is a better show...
