Mel was so incredibly brave. By the time the girls were interviewed here, Mel had been told that her cancer was terminal but she was so determined to overcome it. Poor Kim, to loose her best friend and sister at such a young age was so very sad. Mel and Kim were wonderful. They were fun, had some great songs and were two lovely, warm, genuine girls from Hackney. RIP Mel❤️

I was a huge fan of Mel & Kim and I remember watching this interview, I was 13 years old at the time, I was devastated by Mel's diagnosis. I still listen to their music today, I'm 48 years old.

Love their proper London accents and how Mel calls Terry, ‘Tel’ as well! 😀 Two celebs from London nowadays would sound like two celebs from anywhere else in the UK with that horrible modern, street accent that all young people seem to have.

Just watched this again , Yes , Talk about cancer to your friends and family. I cut everyone off , said to them get on with you’re own life. I was so wrong. You need to talk to people and have some support from all. I love these girls , Thank you both., Especially Mel. Thank you KIM IN 2023.
