They are so bloody adorable. So sad that Mel died tragically young. One wonders what they would have done if Mel hadn't succumbed to cancer. One single album, but it's an amazing one. Love the PWL sound so much, so utterly 80s and fantastic.

Being from the US, I’ve never heard of them, but discovered them from a UK music compilation I was watching today. Very talented group. Intriguing how their style was so ahead of its time.
Their singles were popular in the U.S. only in the clubs and in big cities where dance FM radio stations were big. However, their American distributor chose to release “I’m The One That Really Loves You” as a single in the form of a remix by Clivillés & Cole, who were virtually unknown in America at that time, in place of “F.L.M.”
This record still sounds cutting edge and fresh just as it did 32 years ago. Wow. One of my very favorite records ever. One of the best low budget videos ever too - they were so gorgeous and wow could they dance. Nothing remotely comes close to this today.
All the rage at the fun fair, blasted out over the stereo systems, coupled with school disco music. What an era to live in and these two were stars in the firmament. Mel tragicly passed but their legacy remains.

My sister took me out for my 21st birthday when I was legal to drink and it was funny when I came out to her a few years later and told her that I'd been getting in to bars since I was 17!!!
