I gotta find a solid suspension shop around me to get them to dial it in for me. Never rode a Hyper before I bought mine so not sure how stiff it's supposed to be but it certainly feels on the stiffer side.
Well at 220 plus pounds with all the gear on I'm just hope I don't have to respring this bike. I had to spring my drz400sm because the stock suspension just wasn't cutting it.
I have the 2020 SP, I tip the scales at 120kg in my gear. Laden sag 45mm front and rear, have not been able to bottom the suspension Front or rear, even over jumps. Once your sag is set, back off the rebound on the front until it floats past and settles, then gradually nip it up until it returns without "bouncing". Keep an eye on your rear tyre, raised leading or trailing edges signify too much or too little rebound. Compression damping is a suck it and see, ride the bike, then add 3 clicks, it it jars, it's too much,. Back off six clicks and ride it again. You will get a feel for it
So do you know the finals settings he put everything at? How many clicks or turns out of compression and rebound in front and rear ? How many turns in preload, front and rear?
Its all dependent on rider weight.. i got some settings in the description but you will probably need the sag sorting and maybe raise/lower the rear/front depending on how you ride.. its all a dark art and left to the professionals
@@hypermotardking can you tell me exactly what they do to lower height? Change springs, some lug, different amount of oil, thanks and congratulations on the channel
We left that in the stock setting (10 clicks in from hardest-clockwise) as its more personal feeling for the road and I don’t do wheelies - conquestracingltd.com/product/ducabike-ducati-hypermotard-950-sp-black-ohlins-steering-damper-kit-2/
Great stuff , SW Suspension definitely know what they are doing
Really good guys 👌🏼
Bet that was a Twitchy ride preload being out from left to right 😅👊😎🫡
@@srt2fst Bouncy 😂

Super stiff and solid..
Just simple checks at home to confirm both forks are same preload is a start (mine werent from factory)
@@hypermotardking Good idea!
Dod you re-spring softer? Which springs? I weigh 158 lbs so very close to you. Thanks!
Rear yes.. 90nm spring..
Front just removed some fluid to give it more travel

In my experience most bikes will need OEM springs changed.. I’m going softer at 155lbs 😂

@@hypermotardking sorry I missed it. Let me look.
Hi
please tell me if all these settings are done on the stock suspension?
and what is your weight?
Thanks
Stock suspension changed with 90nm rear spring (stock 100nm). I’m 80kg with gear
Great video. If it’s not too personal, can you tell me how much you weigh?
72Kg give or take..
hi, mine is so hard, what have you set yours at out of interest, thanks

Just wondering if these guys have the ability to tweak the suspension in a way to lower the bike a few mm??
Yes they can.. he did mention it is possible to “pack” out the suspension to lower ride height - anywhere up to 30mm..
well, that would be by compressing the rear spring, which would alter the preload.

@@magirusmagirus8045 something to do with the shims inside the shock.. im not a suspension specialist but they can pretty much do anything
Great video and info 👍🏼
Thanks..
he didnt work on the steering damper? and the one you bought was for 2021? i dont see one for 2022 models…it is 68mm?
63mm i mean

@@hypermotardking Just ordered my hyper from dealership. how does the damper feel? necessary?
@@RMSFAM09 Front end feels better. The damper was £100 more from Dealer than buying it seperately - and they only had silver 👎🏽
What's the difference in riding experience
Its more comfy/softer and less bouncy/pogo.. so u enjoy it more on road
How is it average mileage buddy?
Im still running in the engine and using “Touring” mode but getting around 50mpg..
