well done. glad you hit your goal. I'm lucky to have both a 950RVE, but also just putting together an 890 Duke R for track use. The 950 is so much fun on the road and watching you use it on track is great inspiration for us hyper owners.
@@anthonyarnold1242 Ive done a few rides and videos with my mate and his 1290R - I still need to do a proper review of the two side by side.. BUT the Hyper is a good blend of bags of fun all at lower speeds but is super nimble and fast when properly dialled in at a Track. That 890R guy at Track was 3 seconds faster than me which you can tell - he was next level and just inspired me more that if he can than I can too 👍🏻
@@zxgopher Anything 1:50 or under I would say fast group.. everyone is predictable and let you know they going to pass with ample space.. also encourage to push as you dont want to hold them up..
love the vid, what tyres are you running, do you know the spindle size on the rear please I pick my bike up in November and need to get a single side paddock stand sorted, thanks
That looked like a lot of fun! Just noticed that you were shifting at 9k which is about 1500 off from red line. Any reason you wouldn’t use the full revs? Maybe 10k on track?
@@hypermotardking Gotcha. I used to run a S1000 single R on track with a similar 11k red line and shifted at 9k or so. The instructor recommended that I use almost all of the rpm range in order to reduce gear shifts on track. I don’t know if I got any faster but my riding got a bit smoother. Yet to take the Hyper to track
Hi 👋🏻, just saw this vid come up. Absolutely brilliant. I'm thinking of getting rid of sports bike for one of these. Anything I should look out for? 👍🏼
Excuse my ignorance but I am trying to understand speedometer is the kph or mph? Seems too fast for it to be kph but also often too slow for it to be mph.....then again I dont have much to go by....assuming mph??
Very nice vid.I personally think you did well.In my younger years I used to race and i bet the hyper is sweet on track.Im curious did you add teeth to the rear.If there was just a few more turns in that track you would be ahead..Great job..
Nice riding, You could get a little more speed out of modifying that bike and getting rid of the catalytic converter and the restrictive airbox. Look up starace air box mod. I just received mine the other day. I will see about doing a video when I do the install.
Cat I can’t because of noise restrictions.. maybe airflow will yield a few more bhp top end but I think I’m pretty maxed out getting a 1:48.9.. For Sure do the install video 👍🏻
Why are so many people wanting to sacrifice quieter for a slight performance gain? Makes no sense so long as everyone is under the same rstriction. I live right near a very popular section of mountain road and I just want to strangle some of these IDIOTS! They are not even racing on tracks where 5% could make a difference they just want to be LOUD cause they think its cool...it is NOT cool it is OBNOXIOUS....then they pull their helmets and take out ear plugs because even they cant stand it

Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Great laps
Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻
Great riding you are hanging in there with them .
Thanks… I got alot better this year hust riding with faster riders and learning their lines/techniques 👍🏻
Love the B roll clips, makes it super interesting. Crushed it!
Cheers.. need a break now - proper exhausting ragging that Hyper 😂😂
That Hyper looks awesome fun. Are those times ok in the fast group @ Donington? As in, did you feel settled and not in the way?

I run Avon Xtreme Slicks on track.. Soft front, Hard rear
Nice thanks for sharing 🤙🏻

Thanks
I liked how you showed multiple laps

lap after lap.. so just picked the 2 important ones for comparison 👍🏻
Love watching you :)

Hypers and latest Gen Ducati’s are quite solid.. but they do need(like all bikes) customisation to your riding style to get the best out of them.. 👍🏻
@@hypermotardking cool, cheers for that. As I think it's time to come away from sports bikes and go for comfort and fun 👍🏼cool vids keep them coming .

Is it so sad that a race track has restrictions On noise, Worst part of restrictions is someday it'll be electric only.😒
@@DIYmotorcycle residents buy houses near a track/circuit then complain to local authority its too loud hence restrictions 🤦🏽♂️

Yeah that's funny we got people that buy houses right near the airport and then complain about noise.
