99 Fat Boy here. Pretty sure that vent goes to the horse shoe oil tank but not sure which line goes where. Bottom of tank is oil pump feed, return and vent lines are at the top but not sure which is vent. Great video, Thanks.
@@harleymike55 it does not have breather heads and you are right is is causing to much crankcase pressure and pushing oil past the main seal into the primary but I have seen a sheared gear on oil pump return do the same thing so I’ll be going in to check oil pump return
I'm not a Harley guy, but why would this be wrong.Positive crank pressure goes up to intake vacuum. Done on many other bikes, small engs, cars, ect for eons.
@@azdragoon72 so this engine does not vent through the heads like later models and the older models have a check valve in the oil pump that will stick from time to time witch will cause it to puke like a half to a quart of oil before the the check ball frees up so u don’t want that in your aircleaner
There is nothing wrong with venting to the air cleaner. If you have that much oil coming from the crankcase vent going up the line to the air cleaner, you have far worse problems!
I think that could cause the muffler bearings to seize😂
I would check the catastrophic converter🤔
Some people shouldn't be allowed to own tools.
Over 35 years in the business, I know alot of those people. But they make me alot of money

does that motor have breather heads? if not that setup is just plugging up crankcase breather.

Too late, I did the 1K on my ‘23 Heritage Anv model.
