A bit less on the brakes and earlier on the handbrake would've helped him initiate the turn with more authority and carry more momentum through the turn. Not saying I could do better by any means, but it wasn't anywhere near perfect.

It was probably even faster than properly hitting the apex. I think the 2nd part of the turn was tilted towards him, and he used it to decelerate faster, instead of just breaking on the steep first part. Also, you would have to see the whole track (at least several turns before & ahead) to understand the perfect line for this turn. We're all just guessing here.

That’s the Scandi flick done by the book. Use the brakes and steering to point the nose in the direction you want, then the throttle to abscond. Luckily the road was paved, otherwise the crowd would’ve gotten their teeth blown out by gravel.

I feel like he stayed off the apex slightly as the height difference was higher and might have upset the balance of the car/ a wheel lifting off the ground reducing longitudinal traction.
Its not. The road isnt narrow enough for the car to not be able to go full sideways on it and he missed the apex by a lot. To me that was a recovery and even so it was really smooth
Dumb. I lived in Japan as a teenager and drove the slopes on my commute in a Eunos Roadster and that is not real. It's slow and you'd damage your car. I ran 200tw tires and carbotech pads and outran everyone through there who tried to drift. I only slid the car in the rain.
I have never attempted this sport but I was a truck driver for over 25 years and I must say that these guy's handle those cars perfectly ,well done guy's .
