Used motor oil works good on green brush fires, gets rid of it , won’t flash burn and burns hot!! Gonna have to start a new channel Farming with DP!!😂😂

As an old farm boy, I love to see land reclaimed. When you finally get it cleared and figure out where the perimeters are going to be, take your tile plow and go around the perimeter and cut all the tree roots that are running out into the field. Farmer Chris’s corn will do a lot better around the fences.
better use would be a subsoiler ripper on the whole field to get the ground lose again. We do that up in northern Indiana. If there see a hard spot in there field when they plant corn after harvest they will sub soil rip there the spots and where the truck drove for harvest to loosen it up.
What a great day of removing the filth and reclaiming the farm for future use again. Nice work also on the drone shots which gives a better perspective on how nice this property lays. Enjoying this series.
I bought an old farm that had the trees take it over. 20 years of growth. It’s a daunting task to clear all those trees. It’s a 100 acre property with about 100 trees per acre.
From a field of scrub to field of usefulness 😁 It was only chilly until the fire took a hold 😂 Split screen segments were spot on, that would have taken some organisation 😎
This one really makes me jealous. It reminds me of what myself and my wife grew up around. We each grew up in very small communities of less than 400 people. We now live with our teenage sons in a small city of 20,000. When we looked for what is now our home, we both thought the convenience of town would be good. 13yrs later we ALL agree that acres in the country would have been FAR better.
Watching you tackle this field in a day and a half, I was thinking farmers of a couple hundred years how long it must have taken to clear a field with hand tools and horses Good video
You never disappoint Mike, I watched Captain Kleeman and you showed up unexpectedly and jumped in to help him pour that concrete. Don’t let it go to your head Mike but, you are a good friend & a stand up guy.
I love the difference in the land. It looks so much better than all that brush & scrub. You guys have done an awesome job. Thanks for sharing this, Mike.
Great video, Progress…. I vote for the lake. Many videos, great camping site for Jenna and the kids. Big body of water to kayak, fish and enjoy the serenity of the water for you and the kids for decades to come. I see a unique sense of pride, working on your own property for a change.
A youtube video on "How to clear, in a day, an overgrown/abandoned farm property". Amazing! You guys did a great job, in record time, clearing that property! Best wishes.
When MBTS is standing under the swinging shackle on the post puller, might be one of the few tiimes a hard hat might acually be a good idea. Stay safe.
Farmer Chris can come in with a heavy duty land clearing disc after you’re done clearing all the big trees. He can work the field in two directions and chop up all the sticks and roots and have it ready to plant in corn come spring. Before you cleared that field deer could hide in that brush and never be seen. You’ve made a massive improvement to your new farm in a short time.
The property marker is in middle of the road. .. we looked for one long time. Finally, a serveyer said it's probably in the road. It was...I think everyone pays taxes to the middle of creek or middle of road 13:02
Wow you are both doing well. Just wanted to say, I love the split screen and drone footage Mike. it must be a pain having to keep stopping to reposition cameras etc etc when you just want to crack on. I’m loving the extra mile you’re taking for our benefit. 🇬🇧
I just love seeing a field come back to life after it’s been neglected for quite a while I would love to see farmer Chris plow the field so everyone can see the difference from now to then well done DP AND MBTS
With my landowner experience. I think I would plant in beans for the first year. Then next year get a big offset disk and disk it deep in both directions. Then let the small roots rot. Then it would be easier to apply NH3 next fall.
So awesome to see wasted farmland, turned back into usable farmland. You get paid to have your land maintained, and Farmer Chris gets more acreage for crops. You’re the king of win-win deals these days DP! 💪🏻
You turned waste land into a beautiful piece of farm land. Some people just don’t know how to make money. Where I live in Pa. You can get up to $200 per acre leasing it out to farmers. It at least pays for the taxes. We have grown up fields like yours everywhere you look. Great job.
after pulling trees all day do you have to put some bengay on your wrist? That fire went up quick once Aaron brought out his hair dryer. The before and after of this is amazing.
Thank for all the effort You, MBTS, Farmer Chris, Officer Hoover, and others put into the videos and your support of the community! Got home at midnight from a excellent and fun trip! Now to watch the latest video.
At 11:00, my buddy came over and we used his violin and my Roland Fantom and we rocked with your music! What a blast we had!! We used Cubase to add the voice sounds in.
Good afternoon guys! I had a buddy that mixed diesel fuel and used motor oil to light brush piles. We cleaned a huge plot one time and had multiple piles of brush and that's what he used and it worked good. 👍❤️📹🤔😳😃🔥🔥🔥🔥
WOW what a difference great what one can do with the right equipment, would have loved being there to help always loved that kind of work [ ex farmer dozer operator & truck driver retired in Brisbane Australia
NOW it is looking like a farm great work .There is a scene at 30:45 where you are plucking trees and shrub and there is a huge bush beside you and the it moved, lol
Amazing work! The difference in clearing with the excavator vs bulldozer with blade or root rake is no comparison. When 90-95% of everything burns with no large chunks of wood buried in the dirt makes the end results so much better. Plus you don’t have near as big of a stump hole to deal with. You 2 are the best team to watch on UA-cam. Clint and Kevin are in a close 2nd place.
Livestock, grazing cattle will eat the grass and some leaves. Hogs will root up all the brush and help kill all the trees, goats will eat pretty well any thing. Much of the work was done by the animals. I have read they in some cases fenced in small areas at a time to speed up the process. It did not happen in a day or a week, it was busey work in the off season if there was such a thing.
this field was brush. settlers mostly dealt with mature trees. easier in a number of respects (less plants to remove overall) and you can get a number of seasons of the hogs eating the acorns. harder in that now you have big stumps to get out.
In the thirties in the Dutch polders, people could earn a farm if they first helped dig out the drainage channels and roads by hand. Knee deep in soaking clay sea bottom...
You may not think so, but you guys are making a lot of difference in the looks of the farm with all your hard work...I've been watching since you first started...Looking Good in the neighbourhood.....😊
Upstate brush just did a nasty cutting job of brambles and had another video I watched of thick ivy that he went right through with his drum head. Ground it up pretty good.
Snicker, you could always hire a herd of goats and their herder to take care of the brush the machines don’t deal with. A lot of the brush you mowed down is stuff that they love… You will want to leave some of the more mature trees alone the road as a wind break or something like that Better check and see if there is no wildlife around the pond before you remove it, if it has fish and other critters then might be best to leave it be
