Led Zeppelin is one my favorite bands, and it made my day when I heard directly from Plant about how much Elvis influenced him. Plant is also a very personable Superstar offstage, so Elvis must have influenced him in more ways than just the stage show. I also think that either a person loves the public in general, or they're more withdrawn and standoffish. Elvis and Plant both share remarkable talent and connection to a vast audience, the best of both worlds.

Can't wait for the Baz Lurhmann reboot of "That's The Way it is" and "Elvis on Tour". Apparently, Baz has found reels and reels of unseen footage from both movies. Its known that he's working on them, for an unknown release date. Baz has mentioned in earlier interviews the year 2025. I say take your time Baz and give the fans a WOW of a release. A cinema release has also been spoken of. As often the case, releases like those mentioned here are mostly fan driven with ideas to really make these releases stand-out from what had been released before. As "TTWII" & "Elvis On Tour" will be a total reworking of both films, the eventual DVD Blu-ray and hopefully 4K packaging should in my opinion reflect that. And if fans contact Baz with their ideas we may end-up with a fantastic release. We await.
Some of my all time favorite footage of Elvis. And I've been in those halls and elevators several times, and ate in that commissary! Which makes it even more special. The dressing room area has been reconfigured, but the rest is pretty much the same.

Elvis's persona is something of a lost genre. I worked banquet setup years ago and we catered food for a Tom Petty concert around 2000, as much as his fans are loyal and think his songs connect with them. ...Tom Petty couldn't look at anyone else (outside of his elite entourage) in the eye, and he refused to even say Hi to anyone who crossed paths with him and greeted him first. He was a complete snob and jerk, just out for himself in his music. So it's great to hear how Elvis was a real frontman and yet a human being aside from the stage.
However, Dean Martin comes close. Elvis actually called Dean Martin..."the King of cool". Keith Richards is pretty cool as well. But there's no denying Elvis was probably the Coolest person to walk the planet. Wish he'd gone to Hawaii in 1977 for a year or two to ween himself of prescription medication. Sonny, and Red West tried to help but to no avail. Earth, will never see his like again for another thousand years. Having said that, could Taylor Swift be the current Female Elvis? she certainly draws a large audience to her shows. She packed out the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), and that holds 120,000 people. And she certainly is cool looking, and dare I say...sexy. Just putting it out there into the universe. Go well.

@dizzman5546 Lamar Fike is in the video. He was part of Elvis's entourage though I'm not 100% sure what his primary role was. Marty Lacker was also part of Elvis's entourage and his main duty was to be Elvis's accountant if I remember correctly. Most of these guys were Elvis's childhood friends from high school (Sonny West, Red West, George Klein) and they all went to Humes High School in Memphis.
